  1. Oh hmm. I didn't see that section. Guess I'll look again. ..And I saw it this time. lol.. *feels dumb now*
  2. Okay, I've had an egg in my inventory for a long time now. I picked it up on a nest when I was on Balmorra leveling my Agent, which is now lvl 48. What exactly do you do to hatch these eggs? I have no idea.
  3. As far as class stories go, yeah, there are a few that aren't as good as others. But I've played nearly all 8 of the classes and have enjoyed most of the class stories I have played. I loved the Sith Warrior story. I am wrapping up the Imperial Agent story and it is pretty awesome. I have played a good deal of the Bounty Hunter story and it's good though there is at least one kind of slow part (Taris). I have played the Jedi Consular story up to Act 2 and Act 1 was pretty damn good, I have a feeling I wont like Act 2 as much, but I'll see, I still enjoy the class. Sith Inquisitor has some really good story but I think it suffers from the same thing as the Consular story, where it seems like Act 1 is the best part but I can't be sure about that as I haven't finished beyond first Act on either. Trooper seemed like it had a really cool beginning, but I didn't get very far with mine. I can't really say much about Smuggler since I never even made it off the first planet when I attempted to make one. Still, in my opinion the Class Stories are what make TOR because they are different. In fact, they are about the only thing to look forward to when you make multiple characters because all of the planet missions and quests are always the same. I'll even go as far as to say the class stories are what make up TOR as you cannot advance your character without doing them. You can however skip everything else if you wanted to but I don't suggest it because you will obviously not have enough experience to progress along your story.
  4. Just thought I might clear this up, since people seem to be confused. The expansion is on sale for Subscribers ONLY for $9.99. Non-subscribers have to pay $19.99 and so will everyone else when BioWare decides they don't need the expansion on sale anymore. Is it worth it? Yeah, for subscribers it's totally worth $9.99. If I was paying $19.99 or more I would expect a lot more content. There should be more class story content, otherwise I don't see the point in raising the level caps just to add a new planet that only has a planet storyline and normal quests on it. Without new class quests I'd actually only consider this an update and not really a full expansion. It's not like they are adding new classes to play. Just 1 new area, a 5 level increase and a hand-full of smaller less important game additions. This is basically a game update labeled as an expansion that we have to pay for.
  5. On my Sniper: Everyone that isn't Kaliyo, except atm due to story reason I am having to use my only healer for the first time Doctor Lokin. I tried Ensign Temple, as I had her moderately equipped, but I was very disappointed and switched to Lokin for the time being. Dammit I need Kaliyo back! On my Juggernaut: Everyone except Quinn and Vette. On my Mercenary: Everyone except Mako. (he isn't high enough level to get Blizz yet)
  6. The problem with that, and why this upcoming "expansion" isn't as big as it could be, is that it takes a lot of time and money to add complete voice acting to cinematics. Don't get me wrong. I love the voice acting and the touch it gives TOR's story. TOR wouldn't be the same game without it, but it's also one of TOR's biggest developmental setbacks. Think about that. Any time they ever want to add additional quests, additional story (which includes additional worlds), they have to do the normal development and then instead of being ready to go, they also have to hire several voice actors to voice new lines for the new content and they have to do it for EVERY language version they have of the game. So it's not just a simple changing of the onscreen words from one language to another (unless the character doesn't speak basic, then they don't have to hire a voice actor), they have to have a completely different person who speaks that language do the lines. That's a lot of work, and a lot of money that has to be paid to all those people for their voice work. So it's very expensive and time consuming (a lot more so than usual) each and every time they have to make new content for TOR. There are exceptions, some anyway, where they can re-use dialogue options for our own characters. We see that all the time as it is already. Our characters my choose a specific dialogue choice but they say a line we sometimes often hear them say many other times in response to similar options.
  7. Dear Bioware, Please think about introducing Character Transfers from one server to another. It can't be that hard because several other MMO's on the market already have this feature and I am sure that many of your subscribers, myself included, would greatly enjoy having this option. Of course I don't expect it to be free, but now that you have your Cartel shop you have the platform for selling this kind of service. Here's why I personally would like to see this option in-game: When I first started TOR in the early access before launch (technically open beta, but that's pre-sub) I joined a PvP server because all of my RL friends had decided to roll on that server. I have and had several characters of varying level ranges on that server including my lvl 50 Juggernaut with fairly decent pvp/pve gear that I highly enjoyed playing. However, my friends eventually stopped playing and some cancelled their subscriptions, which I honestly never expected due to the fact that they all typically love Star Wars (as everyone should!). I eventually felt less desire to play and stopped. This was mostly due to other games coming out that I had also been looking forward to and that my friends were also into. Well now I'm back into TOR again, but this time around a couple of friends re-rolled onto an RP server. So I created a new character (an Imp Sniper) to play with them and I find myself really enjoying the atmosphere and the people on this new server. I really wish I had my level 50 Juggernaut on this server and do not want to create a new juggernaut just to replay the same experience again, that would be a complete waste of my time. The PvP server my 50 Juggernaut is on is pretty garbage and the people there are mostly just elitist d-bags or trolls. I'd much rather be able to play and enjoy the character I put so much time into on a server that is actually fun to play on and generally has nice people. There has to be some way I could keep all of my items, money and unlocks too. I mean, that is all stuff I "worked" hard for to earn. I'm sure I can't be the only one with an experience like this. So Bioware, please think about adding Character Transfers from server to server. Sometime in the near future would be the best thing you could do for your game (and me, of course). Thank you!
  8. I am not this kind of person, however I have a few friends that for some reason or another only play MMO's mainly for the PvP. I don't really understand it myself, but these type of people for some reason enjoy the PvP aspect of MMO's above everything else. They like the challenge, the competition (..I guess...) that PvP gives them and it's PvPing that , for them, is the most enjoyable aspect of the game. For me it's everything else. I don't mind PvP but I usually don't go out of my way for it. Which is funny, because when me and my friends first started playing the game at launch we all rolled on a PvP server since there were some people that only wanted to play if it was a PvP server. At launch the PvP server we were on wasn't very bad. I leveled my Juggernaut to 50 with minimal problems from Republic players on the open worlds. At that point in time, there just really weren't a whole lot of people out trying to kill the other faction unless it was during queued up PvP warzones or Ilum (back when Ilum actually had a fair amount of PvP on it). Me and my friends consistently went through and beat every flashpoint as we reached the appropriate level range. The ones that enjoyed PvP did so early on through out reaching lvl 50. I started relatively fresh at 50, before they gave you free warzone gear like they do now, and worked my way up to obtaining a full set of Battlemaster gear, which was the highest until they introduced War Hero. I absolutely hated the look of the WH set though and crafted my own augmented version of the BM set, and then began to outfit it with WH mods. I actually have somewhat come to like warzones now, since I'm moderately well geared. It was quite horrific starting out with nothing, as you might be able to imagine. I decked my companions out in pvp gear as it was way better than any pve gear they were wearing. So yeah, PvP is kinda fun when you are geared for it and way more fun if you have friends to coordinate with while you are playing. Not sure I would PvP much by myself. I have before and found it not nearly as enjoyable.
  9. I keep face palming every time someone quotes Holinyx's post and actually takes it seriously. That person's using pure sarcasm and in about the only way it comes clear in post writing. I understood it plain as day and got a little chuckle out of it. Then we get the folks that can't see it for what it is and totally rage because they just don't understand sarcasm. You've effectively let Holinyx troll you and that wasn't even his intent. He was making fun of the OP and doesn't actually agree with him. Okay. Carry on.
  10. My Juggernaut throughout his journey from promising Apprentice to dominating Sith Lord. http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/328337_177555035689328_100003044986483_273970_1813716035_o.jpg http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/414329_177555079022657_100003044986483_273971_200658826_o.jpg http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/466288_177555249022640_100003044986483_273974_541057764_o.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/460387_177555809022584_100003044986483_273983_1940196110_o.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/340102_177556069022558_100003044986483_273988_495891677_o.jpg http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/412366_213468632097968_100003044986483_363313_631988367_o.jpg And FINALLY, currently this: http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/465345_213468655431299_100003044986483_363314_198139652_o.jpg
  11. My server started out at a high population but I'm really not sure what it is now as I rarely see Republic players. Aside from that, I have had very little problems getting a group for Heroic area quests when I ask for them on general chat. I almost always am met with some kind of response ending up in a party invite and eventually getting the quest in question finished. Sure sometimes it takes a while, but that aside, I play at peek to non-peek times so it's on and off whether or not I get a reply. But like I said I have had little problems and it seems like a lot of the idiocy troll spam is now limited to primarily level 50 general chat areas.
  12. Fleet Pass, You have it. What waiting 24 hours isn't convenient for you? Too bad, deal with it. Spaceport > Ship > Spaceport does not take that much time to do. Quit your whining you lazy people. Next I suppose you'll want the game to just give you levels for staring at your screen, or maybe you'd like to just sit there and be handed the best gear in the game too. DON'T BE LAZY. You're asking for an instantaneous way to do what 5-7 minutes or less can easily accomplish.
  13. Good riddance to all of you people who cancelled. Don't need you here.
  14. He's quite obviously doing it wrong.
  15. Haters gotta hate. I will be in for the long haul. This game is amazing as is. Certainly is everything I was expecting and so much more. For those whining about menial BS. Cry moar. The game's only going to get better and will be only improving. I'm sorry that you people thought the game was going to apparently be something else in it's first two weeks of launch. Apparently you have the patience of cracked out 5 year old with ADD. Sucks to be you. I will support this game so that it can only get better. Good luck to those impatience pr!cks.
  16. I don't wait on a flashpoint. I get my friends together and we go and rock flashpoints. Like a boss. True story. Oh wait, you're crying because you're level 50 with no friends to go do flashpoints with because you ran through the game. Congratulations. No really, congrats.
  17. Haters gotta hate. This game is fantastic. Sure it's got some bugs still, but nothing too terribly game breaking. Plenty of content already. It's only been out for less that two weeks. It's in much better condition than 90% of all other MMO launches (probably a higher % than even that). The game is still in it's beginning stages, but is pretty damn solid. Are there things that need improvement, sure, but they aren't game-breaking things that MUST be fixed right now. They're items people would prefer the game have and nit pick the hell out of them because the game doesn't at the moment. To the guy that posted the Blizzard information link about Chinese sales. How about posting something relevant maybe, instead of stuff from over 2 years ago. Funny how you posted nothing but that worthless link of old and very outdated information. Good job there buddy, you sure sent a zinger to the masses of TOR fans! I hope it made you pop a mild chub in your trouser good sir. /sarcasm The amount of retarded WoW fanboys on this forum is rather ridiculous.
  18. I think the combat is rather "heroic" feeling. As a 32 Sith Juggernaut the only types of mission that I can't handle are Heroic areas that are meant specifically for 2-4 players and Flashpoints. I don't expect my 1 character to be able to go into these areas alone and be one bad-mutha-shut-yo-mouth. They simply aren't meant for that to happen and the only way that you can go into these areas and kick butt is by being way higher level than them. Effectively taking away any actual fun or challenge to them. Now, for regular missions and other non-heroic areas (this includes nearly every story quest) there is absolutely no problem with me taking on groups of 3-5 enemies at a time and this is the only MMO I've ever played where I could successfully do that on a melee character. But I think the real "Heroic Combat" is just in the combat animations and such. For example, when I use Ravage, a 3 hit combo lightsaber attack and the first hit is normal, the second knocks the target to a knee in a defenseless posture and the third strike finishes them knocking them to a ground. While sure, they get back up if they have more hp, it's an awesome way to "finish" an enemy when that last strike kills them. And most notably when you aren't actively pushing a skill how you automatically deflect blaster fire and parry vibroblade and lightsaber strikes. It's quite cool to watch sometimes.
  19. I've been playing since day 3 of the early access and, while half my time between now and then was spent working long hours, I'm only at level 32 and have not rolled any alts yet. I am however loving the story for Sith Warriors and I haven't even finished Chapter 1 yet (but I think I'm close). I'm enjoying the planet stories and quest chains. This game is damn near perfect in the enjoyment area. The story is what this game is all about. I even play on a PvP server (though I think I've seen a whole 5 republic players my entire experience so far). Love. This. Game.
  20. I read that comic and I don't know. But then again, that comic took place about 30-40 years before our current timeline. If he was old then.. he's even older now, and perhaps has indulged quite a bit since then. That would account for his present condition. I think he might also be more machine since his face is now hidden behind a mask, unlike in the comic. He's still quite powerful though.
  21. BioWare knows people want UI customization. They have already said they will be working to change the UI and make it customizable post launch. I was going to link the post where this was stated but now I can't find it. It was one of the top stories on Wednesday. :/
  22. But you don't get anything special by being level 50 ahead of everyone else except for empty zones and maybe some cool looking armor that eventually everyone else will catch up and get too. *shrug* I get what you are saying though, to each his own.
  23. I played the beta stress test for two days and got to level 18 and on Balmorra with a Sith Inquisitor. Intentionally picking a class I wasn't going to start out playing. Playing a Sith Warrior this time around after two days I'm level 16 and still on Dromund Kaas. This time around I'm much more focused on finding all of the datacons and working on my crafting as well. I've gotten all the datacrons on Korriban and Dromund Kaas. While there are certain quests that are shared between all classes I still didn't rush through them. I happen to be enjoying the side quests almost as much as the main story quests.
  24. Hmm. Well I kind of feel sorry for you then. Having experienced all of the content already and just flying by it to get it done hardly sounds like any kind of fun at all.
  25. /Agreed. There is absolutely no freaking way you can get max level in 2 days without using an exploit of some kind. Now, I will say that by the end of Early Access I can see people quite possibly being max level if they got to play every day and maybe only slept a wink or two. But not in two days or less.
