  1. +1. This is something that should have already been added to the game at launch. Even then, the players were pleading for it to to be added... at this point there is no excuse to not *copy* this armor set to the player use category.

  4. The Mandalorians might have a place for you, most of our members are 55 and pvping daily throughout the day. We are a RP all Mandalorian focused guild but PVP to us comes first when playing TOR. Majority of us are old school SWG PVP/RP players who started TOR during beta but burnt out somewhere along the road. I for example stopped playing back when Explosive Conflict Operation and server merges started up and returned about 4 or 5 months ago. Due to this, we don't consider our selves the best at the moment but we strive to improve PVP'ing in this game while crackin jokes and having a good time on TS.   5. As a Merc arsenal... I just find this whole thing one big crap bowl... and Bioware is shoving it down PT's throat without a flinch of remorse or due consideration... Totally messed up and disgusting.
  6. I love this idea. As a Merc arsenal since beta, our biggest problem is we are unable to effectively kite. Sure we have electro net now but that is on a 1 minute and 30 second cool down... this is really a one time use deal in most 1 v 1 fights. Overrides I do not count really because arsenals are totally hampered by channels for the most part, it's only good for running away not actually kiting a opponent in a fight. Compared to most classes, merc ( i actually consider PT in this too) suffers from the longest utility cooldowns compared to any other class. So the suggested skill would definitely be most welcome to our many short comings. /support(even if it does not matter considering BW hates bounty hunter)
  7. Like many have said you want to get in with pre-made groups... solo queing is dependent on which groups you actually get. There are a few remaining all pvp guilds but there are also some RP-PVP focused guilds as well, it is all dependent on what you are looking for.

  9. ah that makes sense now. Does the Aim stat increase accuracy? It does not appear it does when i look into the stats... which to me just seems odd now that i think about it lol.

That is interesting, but maybe fits in with power being a good steady stat to go with while crit is a gamble? i dont know of course but just from a ignorant observation that is what it seems... it seems in the long hall with heavy stacking of aim augments and such that stacking crit and power is hard to differentiate between on which is the clear better stat. Would it b best to attempt 30% - 35% crt rating to focus more on power? Of course i dont think surge or accuracy should be left out of this consideration. Thank you also for your reply and that chart was interesting to look at, i am prob gonna keep going back to it when need be.
  12. Thank you for your reply. I am afraid i do not entirely understand, i am not sure what the surge and crit focus was pre-2.0 because i have been gone a long time. So do i want to stack as much crit and surge or do i want to keep it at around 25% crit chance and 70% surge (where i have it now without actively focusing on it and blend the majority of my mods with power and i assume accuracy or more surge? I am just not sure what you mean by "Stack power" but say "up to 4 mods instead of power is fairly irrelevant". As for the set bonuses i see your point, that is a practical way of looking at this and i thought of something similar but not with combat medic armor. Though i had in mind combining the 15% crit tracer missile increase with the pvp -5s to jet boost. I am a arsenal merc so the faster i drop someone the better, i also dont use HO that much yet because i dont think i have become accustomed to it and it's application.
  13. I know exactly where you are coming from, for i have been away more than a year and only came back few weeks ago. I never really looked into the bodyguard tree as healer is not my "thing" however, i can in my own words and as someone also returning... Confirm that BH healers are very impressive now from the FP, OPS, and pvp WZ i have done with some. I even remember running with a few who i became friendly with and expressing to them how effective they are now at keeping a group going. I have no idea what has changed but i can say i have experienced a great increase from the heals received hahah. I am sure others can explain your question in more detail though, people on this forum have been helpful to get me caught up.
  14. (This is pvp and pve related) Hi, i have been trying to understand how the "crit nerf" (as everyone is calling it) affected BH and specifically BH merc arsenals. I have a few friends who have been playing TOR for the last year i have missed, but i am still somewhat confused on what it exactly did in terms of gear setups and effectiveness. I know diminishing returns was mentioned but the exact amount was unclear. The gear i am using is a bit of a mix atm so i am not stacking pure crit and Surge (though i have more surge than crit, 70% surge) atm... Due to bolster i am forced to use my pve gear and not my pvp from when i originally played. However i can see getting over 30% crit chance is quite a challenge for i am stuck at around 20% crit chance, if i remember right before leveling from 50 to 55 i had around 30% crit chance. I believe my friend also said hitting 55 had something to do with that as well. Can anyone possibly give me the break down of this "crit nerf" and how it affected BH? Or even some threads or notes toward the affect of this change? on a semi related side note (this is more pvp related) but is the pve set bonus a better one to run with now over the pvp? I cannot remember what originally they were but i do feel they were changed over time. As it stands, i love running with the pve set bonus due to a 15% crit bonus to tracer missile, it is just delicious. I remember the pvp one was awesome for it's jet boost cooldown reduction but the 4 peiece seems "meh" to me as a arsenal merc. I cant help but feel like that has been changed or if it is just me. In any case is there any opinions or consensus on this issue as well? I know have been asking quite a few questions on these boards as of late but these two issues are one of the remaining ones i have in order to "Catch up with the times" as it were. Thanks!
  15. i just dont see how that changes anything. The sniper will either change targets (which i admit could be a good thing) or he will just follow you around and drop cover as he please, if the sniper is fast he will get into cover before i have time to leave my los to charge up a tracer or unload or w/e... i really dont see where the advantage here is. I will give this tactic a shot but i cant see it making a difference.
  16. not for nothing but you seem to fight snipers as a jedi, i dont need any movement in a sniper vs merc fight because it is a stationary battle.... i need to cut through his defenses before his offense overwhelms me... the problem is both of them are superior to my own. Aside from the tracer missiles, nothing you said actually helps in a sniper fight. Electro Net might be nice to pull him out of that superior cover but that is a split second of cover he lost which can be easily attained again. But that is it.
  17. Yea i am in the same place... my BH Merc was my first and still mainly my primary class. ... but i must admit i get really frustrated when a sniper can both out dps me and tank... it's sheer BS imo... Not to mention they are now the only 30m range class who can stun apparently.

  20. Idk if if this is just me but did the range get nerfed? i could have sworn i was able to stun people much farther then the current 10m. I say this because when i need to stun someone they are always out of range primarily because as a BH Merc Arty i am always attempting to stay at my max 30m range.
  21. I dont understand how a lack of a gear grind leads to a lack of RPG in a MMO, my experience is MMO's often drift away from the RPG factor when they focus to much on gear grind and all that.... If you were to question me on where TOR lost it's RPG element, it was from day one when they put far too much emphasis on vendor top gear/items, over top crafted gear/items.... There is no sense of a player driven economy or really anything because of all this. I have returned recently to the game after being gone over a year and it does seem BW has made some improvements but the problem very much still exist. (ie: artificers can make dyes but they pale in comparison to the cartel ones... which are simply much more attractive colors, and thus in far greater demand). This game is not player driven, it is NPC and Developer driven... that is why it has lost its RPG element, not merely because of pvp being broken and as you say "lacking a gear grind".
  22. Ah well this has been all very helpful, thank you. Gives me an idea of where i best focus my efforts, will probably continue running pvp weekly and dailies for a steady growth in WZ comms, while running what HM FP and ops i can to get some decent Arkainain gear. I might skip in total the gear without set bonuses, not sure how it would work out but as it standd my BH does have mostly Rakatan and while outdated i think the set bonuses make up for it. Hopefully i can make the Classic armor work up until the Arkanian.
  23. So on a PvE server if i were to even duel someone who had no expertise, while (hypothetically) I had a full suit of Partisan gear, that Expertise would do nothing for me? Or if i happened to run across someone flagged, still nothing? Want to make sure i read your response correctly. Thank you for the reply btw.
