  1. Same happened for me today. Chapter 10 fails to complete after the final cutscene. This seems to be agent related (I'm operative). Note, it is possible to go through the entire cutscene again by clicking Lana in the war room. Perhaps that's where the glitch is--i.e. the cutscene is not completed properly by the game.
  2. It would also be interesting to see about the critical soft cap, since it is also lower.

    Anger on hoth

I completely agree. Having less limitations in how the game can be played makes for more fun open world pvp. The maps and areas are already constructed for pve use with almost zero encounters. It is a total failure imo., and I hope they make future planets more about crossing paths with the opposing faction. On a pve server it will not matter anyway, but it will make a huge difference to pvp servers, so why not?
  4. Good answers, David, thanks! It is looking more promising than we expected, it seems
  5. I personally would rather see ranked warzones out here and now (on the PTS at least) than later. Good software is built with the users--not through waterfall development. Getting feedback early and often > getting feedback once the last line of code has been written.
  6. As many other people seem to think there are a lot of "hacking" going on, I think what it really is is poor server response and slightly buggy coding (both client and server). Sometimes when I attack players in front of me (with knife as an operative), it will tell me I am out of range, but in fact the client is out of sync with the server. Running while capping and what is described here with Novare Coast seems more like synchronization issues or graphics/animations not being updated. The number one rule in MMO development (regarding all communication of information) has long been: Never trust the client. And therefore, it should be expected that a game of this scale is obviously also doing server-side validations of virtually everything a player would be able to do; especially pertaining to movement and abilities. I am not saying that hacking is not possible, but I really doubt it is the source of the majority of "suspicious" game behaviour.
  7. He is a bug-boy, and so unappealing I am not even bothering to max out his affection. I'd rather was the windows of my startship or clean the hyperdrive myself than enjoy his "company". He is also the only companion I never summon. Period. Even the ship droid gets more fresh air than Vector. It is a shame the female agent does not have a romantic storyline worth touching.
  8. /signed I too miss my giggle. It was cool (and evil!) If we have to have a TA sound, I'd rather it be the giggling than the silly "click-swoosh" sound that replaced it..
  9. Yeah, I am afraid you are right. But on the other hand, there are ways they could make it work, such as letting special components/materials be only harvestable/lootable from nodes in such an area, e.g. used to make augments and augment kits (coming in 1.3). As long as there is incentive, it would work in SWTOR as well.
  10. But he is right, why shouldn't you be allowed to climb certain areas? It is not like you are climbing the barriers of the starting zone, and it would make for an interesting position (maybe snipers). Remove those silly walls on top of the bunkers. Just don't allow people to cap nodes from there and it should be fine.
  11. All I can say is that I agree. They should at least try to make something similar as Darkness Falls (and before it is too late).
  12. With all the hype about augment slot kits, I bet in the end it will turn out to only work on crafted items and not on looted/rewarded items (making it yet another joke), lol.
  13. Rather than a debuff, you could force a title on the player quitting for the next hour (or whatever seems reasonable) saying "X the Warzone Quitter" for all to see.
  14. What I do not get is why they do not make a portion of dropped greens/loot RE-able into orange shells. A lot of that armor is normally useless (stat wise) and people would be able to customize their looks further.
  15. *thumbs up in agreement* EDIT: I for one would love to test on the PTS, but there is no way I am levelling from scratch. Even Anarchy Online had a way to boost your character to max level with plenty of everything for testing their first expansion pack.. and this was back in like 2002? lol.
  16. Consider that War Hero is only marginally better than Battlemaster. Also in terms of expertise. I already have two pieces and some 3 sets of Battlemaster (that I used for mod optimizing), and I am rather enjoying each warzone instead of grinding for gear. You do not need War Hero to be a winner. The gear will come on its own over time, and War Hero doesn't make you significantly more powerful in my experience. That being said, I do not like the entire idea of having tiers of pvp (or pve) gear that you have to obtain just to be on par. It is a boring time sink in any game. Too late to change it now though, unless they revamp everything

    Naked Huttball Fun

    Lol, priceless.
  18. Yes, I agree that I have not spent any time researching what may have been stated about cross-server warzones But if it is going to be implemented as such, then high population servers would appear to be pitted against themselves (most of the time) while low population servers against each other much more often, which I have no problem with.
  19. Well.. now THAT would make me quit PvPing for good. Litterally
  20. Perhaps so, but many guilds also consider others as rivals/enemies. Cross-server makes it less likely to fight each other in warzones, and thus breaking the server community. Merging servers is still the best solution, I think. Perhaps they could add the option to choose whether to queue on your own server only or all servers. It should not be impossible. And if all pvp remains centered around warzones that still does not solve issues on low population servers regarding world pvp (should BioWare actually get a clue and implement a proper system).
  21. Nailed it, lol. A lot of the "overpoweredness" stems from poor make ups of both teams in warzones. A team full of healers or a team full of dps is just the same. Either you feel you cannot kill anyone, or you feel you cannot stay alive more than a few seconds. It may get better once we get cross-server pvp though.
  22. Being a healer operative myself, I can tell that good juggernauts put guard on healers, and it often wins the fight. Without it, I am squishy and that results in much fewer heals Often people will ignore me even, if I am guarded/shielded. In relation to this, I think that teams that understand to play their class roles well are the winning ones, and there are far too many pvpers who only see themselves.
  23. While I am not a big fan of the imbalance created by expertise, I personally have zero interest in doing PvE, flashpoints and operations to obtain top tier PvE gear just to be on par with other people in PvP. You will end up with the same issue; whoever has better gear has the advantage. I'd prefer to see less focus on PvE and more focus on PvP and conflict between republic and empire.
  24. There is nothing particular overpowered about operatives after the recent nerfs imo. Your resolve bar builds up with each stun, and shouldn't let the opponent completely lock you down. I think your problem is really that more than one is hitting you at the same time, and in that case you will die face first It is the same as if two marauders/sentinels decide to interrupt a caster. One is somewhat manageable. But two can lock you down until you are dead.
