  1. To quote my friend a minute ago:

like if its heroic drop it **** it in the *** and peace the **** out dont do bonus quests i finished in tatooine so damn quick doing that and i stopped outlvling zones buy 5

To my knowledge, there's no point in doing Heroics and bonus quests if you out level zones by riding solo. You feel me on this?

  2. Let me use World of Warcraft Reference since I've played 10 classes all to level 85.

    Human Starting Area

    -Goldshire

    -Westfall

    -Redridge Mountains

    -Wetlands

    -Duskwood

You see the pattern? You get to experience those areas at a good level with all quests being yellow. There is a time where you have to go back and forth from Redridge to Wetlands but that's been fixed. I don't understand why we have to skip a zone to go somewhere of our level? What's the point of creating a zone or planet you won't even see?

Someone told me skip heroics and you'll be fine. Why are heroics even in the game if they don't pose a challenge?

  3. I'm a level 22 Bounty Hunter and I've been 20-22 for the past few days now because I've been discouraged to level. I once thought this game was going to be fun but it turned out to be quite unbalanced. Seriously, you have me moving from one zone to another with all my quests being green. Where is the challenge in that? I mention that heroics are pointless and all they do is ruin your leveling, and people tell me I'm wrong.

Bottom line is, you ruined the leveling system. I've played MMORPG's and it was difficult back in the days to do quests. You either had to read the quest and understand how to complete it or look them up online. With SWTOR, it's the easiest thing to do. There's absolutely no challenge in this game.

I actually thought not killing a billion things would be fun but it turns out I'd rather kill a billion things then to run forever to turn in a quest and do the same over and over again. You seriously need to fix your leveling system and remove heroics. It's ruining leveling for a lot of us. I don't like doing green quests I want them orange or yellow. I want a damn challenge not the easy way.

Sorry but I found a flaw in the game and I'm really sad.

  4. Early access was stupid they went about it the wrong way.

Not enough servers to go around which is understandable. Baby steps!

Overall, the game is amazing but the end game content is a bit scary. This could make or break the game so we'll see when we get there.

  5. it goes live in 2 days -.-

Actually, it goes live tomorrow at midnight. The servers are coming down at 10pm and then going back up at 12 for the launch. Apparently you guys are not paying attention.

As for the OP, what are you crying about? The game hasn't launched yet. When it does, you'll see a lot more servers. I would expect them to open more servers today but that hasn't happen. Have patience man, it's just a matter of time before you see more servers. I've started 200 in the queue and I have no complains. Here's what I did.

Put on my shorts to get comfortable, went into the kitchen and put pizza in the oven, came here and started reading this crap and now I'm 82 in the queue. I'll be in the game before my pizza is ready. So chill and have patience. Nobody is leaving because of queues. World of Warcraft did it and look how far they got. :)

Again, the game goes live tomorrow for those who didn't know.

  6. Personally, I like all of these Heroics for low levels. The sooner they start playing together, the better prepared they will be for working cooperatively in Operations. People always complain about how players are never prepared for Endgame, well Heroics help players prepare for Flashpoints, and Flashpoints help players prepare for Operations. That is how I see it anyway.

How do heroics prepare you for endgame? It's a champion with high HP's and no special ability or strategy to beat them. You deal with 3 mobs that are either champions or strong. It's just a headache trying to do them alone. With a group, you just DPS and heal, "THATS IT". I don't see how this helps you for flash points.

  7. Max speed should be 120% since there's no flying in this game. I wouldn't complain about speed, you wouldn't have good control anyways and bump into everything. Also, the faster you go on the ground, it could cause problems and lag you out. Maybe our computers are not fast enough to render objects fast enough to keep up with speeders that are super fast. You can't have everything that's in the movies in the game.
  8. There were times early on during leveling I had to solo an elite boss or champion in a heroic and it was one of those close calls. I was two levels higher than them. It was a great challenge and I loved it. I sure would hope it was like that at higher levels but it's not. Look, we all know the social part of this game is out the window. There are far too many kids that play MMORPG's and they ruin our experience. In World of Warcraft, I would get "your mother is a ******" for asking LFG. That's the type of community we deal with in MMORPG's as of late. Socializing in these types of games is done. I'm a long time gamer from the early 90's and I've seen communities get thrown away because of it.

To sit around and be ignored or nobody wants to socialize and come to a medium on doing group quests, then what is the point? Oh yea, get guildies to help? Shouldn't get to that point if you ask me. I've met a lot of nice people and made good friends by asking for help. Again, those days are over now.

  9. I'm never rude and constantly ask in general every 2 minutes about flash points and heroics. Unfortunately, I haven't found anyone that wants to do them. If you put something in the game and call it a quest, I don't look at it as optional. My mission will be to do them and if not, I will feel disappointed.

I really don't see the logic in heroic. Maybe have us fight through mobs and our final fight is a boss, that could work. To make every moth strong and elite is ludicrous. I don't want to hear, "skip it for later levels". That's not the point. If the quest is my level, why not do it and get more xp instead of losing xp at later levels?

You don't have to defend bioware, this is not an attack. Just something I don't agree with and think it's quite stupid and doesn't belong. Remember rift and having to fight in rifts? That was a beautiful concept.

  10. Unfortunately, this is not an viable solution.

Players want to enjoy the content NOW, and get the Modable items which they can keep throughout their leveling adventures NOW, not have to come back 5+ levels later and solo the entire dungeon.

This is also not useful, since many players will elect to ignore other players, other than buffing them for courtesy sake and helping them out in a pinch (if the player is about to die) if they are able to. I do both the former and the latter all the time, but I rarely ever invite other players for Heroic 2 or 2+ zones, since thats what my companion is for.

If I am unable to complete said quest via attrition, then I simply move onto the next quest and do it later, 1 or 2 levels adjusted.

This is not an issue for quests, but becomes an issue for flashpoints, since the whole point behind a flashPoint is to have a group to do it with.

While Im perfectly fine with solo'ing or dual-boxing everything (where mathematically possible) by myself, (the end-game is my goal, not the leveling) most people play this game for the social aspects.

The goal is to make grouping "optional", not required, with the exception of course being the the end-game Raid encounters.

    +1

I like this, makes a lot of sense. I hope the next big patch is some good changes.

  11. My friend is a Sith Sorcerer and his companion is a tank. He has no problem soloing. If his tank is viable as a tank and can easily do heroics, why can't I do it as a tank and my healer be viable as a healer? I don't understand the whole concept of companions. Maybe I should be pure DPS with my companion being DPS? I don't understand and too many heroics going on here. I think they should make less heroics and move us along so that we're not stuck LFG all the time. I'm the type of guy that doesn't like to skip quests. Ya know, the Achievement type of guy who wants everything done and done right.

I never mentioned not having low level instances. My whole point was about heroics.

  12. Hi,

I'm not trying to cry about something here but I want to point the obvious. I don't see why there are so many heroics in the game and nobody wants to group with you. I'm a powertech tank spec and I can't solo anything in heroics. There are some class that can. I don't understand the whole logic with so many heroics care to explain? Just make it simple as you did early in the game. Why not just have one boss fight for each heroic quest instead of having to kill a mob of elites that require a group.

This is really discouraging and it's making me not enjoy the game as I thought i would. I find myself LFG more than I play.

Why don't you do the non heroics and get back to them later? I did, that's where I'm stuck right now. I'm forced to move on to level up some more and come back for them to get no experience at all.

    Fail!

  13. This is the main issue that i hope never come to this game, it killed the community of servers, gave power to *** that just want their gear and wheres the social in that thing? Seriously i hope they never add a dungeon finder copy to the game, maybe adding categories and other option to the current lfg tool would be enough.

I would have to disagree with you. I've been in WoW since vanilla beta and I've seen WoW grow before my eyes. It was nice that a "PLAYER" created the LFG channel so that the community can easily set groups for instances. However, the dungeon finder was the best thing that happened to WoW for leveling. It allowed you to knock down quests, put yourself in a queue and hope it popped. When it did pop, you were able to knock down quests and do dungeons without having to sit there for hours spamming for group. You are not looking at the logic of all this.

A game without dungeon finder is just not a game. I don't care for the social part of the game. It's like saying, "get rid of the auction house, I would rather spam my items in chat rather then put in an auction". That doesn't make sense.

Let's not forget, the game has too many heroics that can't be soloed. I have 3 heroics in my logs and I can't seem to find anyone that want's to do them. When I try to invite someone, they don't want to be a part of it. So yea, dungeon finder is really good for instances and heroics.

On the other hand, LFG flag is horrible. Most of the people LF runs are already in the runs.

  14. I don't think you guys understand what I meant. I love the cutscenes. I just think it's too much when you want to do an instance multiple times. You shouldn't be questioned for doing something more than once. It's a preference to be in an instance. I had to go back so many many times to do Black Talon with friends that were getting in EGA and bored me to death. It was quite annoying having to go through the cutscenes. I think the cutscenes is the greatest thing this game has because it's in depth story. I hope you guys understand where I'm coming from. I do space bar to death, but still doesn't change anything with the story.

I know it's early, but hopefully with man changes and ideas for the future, this could be one of them. Imagine doing guild raids and having to deal with cutscenes all the time? Yea, can't wait for that. lol

  15. Hi,

I was wondering about flash points and how annoying they can become after doing constant "instance" runs. I came up with an idea.

The first time you enter a flash point aka instance whatever you call them "dungeons"; why not have the system record that avatars/characters choices so the next time you do it, it will remember your choices and you don't have to space bar through or have to deal with any scenes?

What if you want to choose a different faction answer this time around?

How about you make it an option upon entering the instance? I don't know about you but the cutscenes are really cool but they tend to get annoying and boring when you've viewed them a billion times. It's like watching a movie, over and over and over again until you've gotten sick of it.

    Just my 2 cents...errr...I mean credits. :)

  16. Hi,

I'm sure there are a few of you that got the Cataclysm mouse by Steelseries to work with SWTOR. The question is, how do you get it to work? For the life of me, I can't get key 4 and 5 to work as my map and inventory hotkey. I tried some tutorials out there but couldn't seem to get it working. Someone mentioned re-installing software but that didn't work either.
