  1. So did they fix it yet? I have to pay 70000 credits on my toon, after doing a couple of dailies. Dailies, that earned me about 100000 credits.
  2. Yet apparently enough time to open up a new topic.
  3. I think it's also hard in such a big universe to never have anything that contradicts something else.
  4. Ah ok, didn't know a lot of that. All I read about Thrawn so far was the Thrawn trilogy. It does seem a bit unlikely that they would forget so much about the rest of the galaxy. But then again, I haven't seen many Chiss so far, they seem to be rare.
  5. Hmm, I see. But yeah in 3000 years a lot can happen. Maybe in that timespan something happened that made them isolate themselves more and more. And the Thrawn trilogy wasn't 30 years after Endor, was it? So we have at least an example of a Chiss that worked with the Empire even though his race mainly kept themselves isolated from the rest.
  6. I read that including the Chiss into SWTOR as a playable race caused timeline issues and that the lore had to be bent to make it make sense. What exactly were those issues?
  7. For me the most interesting perks are in the character tab, but since I have to unlock them on each character, to me, it's just not worth it.
  8. The whole idea of legacy is to be able to share it among characters.
  9. Nobody is complaining about what these perks do, it's about why they're not legacy wide.
  10. I don't get why these character perks have to be part of the legacy system. There is nothing legacy about it if I have to unlock them separately on every character.
  11. If the problem is skill and experience, then they are only going to get that by doing that operation. Making it hard for them to get into that operation will only work against that. Something like a skill score is impossible. How would you increase that? By successfully beating bosses? First of all that doesn't tell anyone if you're really a good player or even if you understand the mechanics of that boss. Second of all, how can you increase that score, if you need it to be at a certain level to enter the operation. It's like it was in WoW with gear and achievement requirements. If somebody wanted you to have gear, that you could only get in that raid, or the achievement for completing the raid, it was hard for new players to even get that, because the groups that you needed to get into to get them required that you would already have them. WoWs raid finder sets a pretty good example of how they can teach you how the bosses work. It's very intuitive and it works as a training ground to teach you the basics. That only works in WoW because the difficulty is a bit lower and you can get the right gear for that raid in like a day.
  12. That wouldn't change at all. You just have one more difficulty available. If you don't want to do it on an easy setting, do it on hard. Nobody is taking that away from you. It didn't. It just gave me one less operation to do and a reason to not continue my subscription. It's not just about finding a group, it's also about getting gear to get there. I'm playing MMOs for 4 years now, mainly SWTOR, LOTRO and WOW - and no, it doesn't encourage me to find a group. It's frustrating to find a group, if it takes hours and doesn't even work in the end, because there's that one tank missing, and the group slowly breaks apart because of it. In every MMO I've played in the last 4 years, I have done this dozens of times, and at one point I've had enough. It's ok if you like to do that. I don't mind. But this is no reason to not introduce an easier version for the group finder, so that people, who don't want to possibly search for hours for a group, can still do it. That's the whole purpose of a group finder. To exclude just one raid doesn't make any sense. Especially the current tier should be available. I like this game, but hours of waiting are not fun.
  13. I know that it's harder, that's why I suggested to put in an easier version of it.
  14. I don't get why they don't put in Explosive Conflict in the group finder. How about a gear check? Or put in a group finder version of the operation.
  15. I think they pretty much abandoned role-play. At least in combination with PvP. Which is really important to me.
  17. My server has a pretty decent population. I just waited two hours for an ops group, only to have one person leave immediately and the group leader standing there lethargically. When asked to requeue he only responded with illegible nonsense and did nothing. He finally left with "**** you mom stupid american boy", which seemed to be the sign for everybody in the group to pull everything at once and leave. Back in queue again, probably another 2 hours. If this was cross-server, I bet anything, queues would take around 15-30 minutes. I'll try for a few days, but only to see the content. And that is really the problem. If it was less painful to find a group, I, and others, would probably stay. Now people say cross-server destroys the sense of a community, and that people act like ******es because there's no real consequences for them. But this tool is restricted to our server and people still act like idiots. And I can't really learn anything out of this. It's no use to scribble down the name of these 7 persons, because that list will only grow. And what should I do if I waited 2 hours for the next group and one of them is in there? Leave? Hell no, I'm gonna cling to that group like grim death.
  18. That's great for you but that's probably not the average wait time for most people. I used it 3 times so far.. 1. about 1 hour, group broke up because we wiped on the 1st boss, couldn't requeue 2. about 1 hour 30 min 3. about 1 hour, one in our group couldn't click on a certain panel, so he had to relog, which means he automatically left group. Reinviting him wasn't possible, so we had to get in queue to find a replacement. Ironically he got thrown back into our group again, but it took like 20 minutes til we could continue. I guess there's not so many people in the system to begin with, so if you're unlucky, you don't even get 4 people together. Cross-server would help a lot. edit: 4. about 2 and a half hours in queue, then tank leaves because he has never done the flashpoint before. Half an hour later group breaks up. Honestly, big mistake not to go cross-server. Having a tool is useless if there aren't any people to begin with. I was considering resubscribing, because I hoped the group finder would finally give me something to do, but all I did was wait hours at the fleet for nothing. I'm not gonna continue paying, if all I can do is waste hours doing nothing.
  19. There's still realms with a low population, and even on a high pop server queues can take very long for some flashpoints.
  20. Which also means, that when a dps leaves you get an instant replacement. If you look at WoW you wait for groups like 15 minutes, sometimes not even that long. Of course it would help. It also depends on what kind of server you are on right now. Cross-server would change that.
  21. I don't demand that this feature should be there right from the start, but if you do it, you should do it right.
  22. The problem I see with the group finder is, that it still takes long, especially when you want to do specific FPs, because it's not cross server. And then, when a group splits up, you can't even continue to search for new members, you have to start all over again. BW could have done a better job, since they've pretty much copied this feature from some other MMO, they could have at least copied it properly.
  23. It should also enable you to stay in the tool when everybody else has left.
