I agree. I've played in many MMOs on the day that they launched, and almost without exception you deal with horrible lag, server instability, and most of all huge crowds in the starting areas.
It was a joy to start a character today, and be standing next to only one or two other players when talking to quest NPCs instead of the typical blurry mass of players surrounding every NPC.
Now, I understand for those who didn't get in, this is awful. Why not cram more people on there, they cry out? Well, that would have defeated the purpose of EGA. They didn't come up with EGA to effectively move the launch date of the game back seven days, they did it to stay away from those huge launch day crowds. Those who didn't get in today will eventually come to see the huge benefit of this staggered launch once they do get their access.
