I'm leveling up a Jedi Shadow, it took me 3 tries to kill him. I checked around and did what everyone said, Mind Snap, Stun, and Force Wave every time he tried to use an ability. I stayed away from him, using long range attacks and used Deflection, and a Willpower stim. I finally killed him after doing all that. I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who put in their 2 cents about this fight, made it a lot easier.

So I gave my friend one of the 7-day trials I had and he's having a hard time figuring out where to download it. He was asking if he needed to use Origin or not, I didn't use Origin, I had the DVDs, but not sure about the trial. Can anyone help me out?

I would disagree with you. I'm a casual MMO player, I don't play every day, but I do like the double xp and how fast it goes from level to level. I feel like I'm accomplishing something when I log on. Also, being a few levels higher than the mobs of the new planet I go to is also nice, making combat not-so frustrating.

No, it's The Old Republic, giving people the option to pick which ever faction they want, because they pay $15 a month for it.

So I'm at the customization vendor on Belsavis and I try to look at customizations for my companion, press ctrl+left click, and click on the companion tab, and it doesn't change how he looks. It doesn't change anything. I keep clicking on other ones for Talos, and it looks the same. I wanted to know if this was a bug? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Or have a free trial you can give to a friend, maybe only be able to get to level 15 or something. It's not a bad idea giving rewards out for recruiting people, it would help the server populations.

Yeah, I've been getting large amounts of lag randomly. I'll be playing at full bars and then out of nowhere, not even in combat or anything, just standing around it'll drop to 1 bar then none. Sometimes it'll just be really slow, but other times it'll completely freeze up for 4-5 seconds and then come back. It has made the game unplayable at times.

Is there a button I keep pushing that brings up the ability bar for my companion? Because it keeps popping up over my bottom bar even though I dont push the "+" button. I know this is an old thread, but it says push control + left click and it'll show the customization on your companion, but when I click it, it doesn't change. Is this a bug?

Ok, it seems like every time I play, my connection drops to 1 bar out of nowhere, and then no bars. My connection's fine, so I don't know why the ping jumps around so much. I really enjoy this game but the lag gets unbearable sometimes. I have to restart my laptop at some points just to be able to play the game.

Thanks, I just went there and turned in the quest, apparently it was the Nar Shaddaa Bonus Series that I never did. I don't know why you would have to go to the fleet to get this mission, but ah well, got it out of my log either way. Ty for the responses and help.

Ok, this is just a regular mission, but I didn't know where else to post this. Awhile ago, I accepted a quest on a different planet (can't remember which one now), but it says go to Nar Shaddaa and talk to a Colonel Harok. Well, it's way below my level now, and I didn't feel like doing it, so I tried dropping it. However, the Abandon button is grayed out and it gives me a message when I try to click on it, "You cannot abandon this mission at this time." So, can anyone tell me if this is a bug or what? Do I just have to go complete it to get rid of it from my log? Thanks.

Is there any talk of implementing a tool/way to change one's character appearance? As in hair style/color, skin color, features, etc? As of now I'm not aware of a way to do this, but I feel like it's an important part of any MMO, so I was wondering if there's any plan to put this into the game. Thanks.

I played SWG and loved it until the NGE hit, I could actually stand the CU. SWG was, in my opinion, the most unique MMO and no one will ever come close to making something similar. I loved the immerse crafting, social interaction, player cities and housing. It was amazing, even PvP (griefing aisde) was great. That being said, I love TOR. Now, for the most part, I am a PvEr. That's why TOR appeals to me so much because it reminds me of KOTOR so much. I am no MMO elitist who plays 24/7 and reaches endgame in the first week of launch. So in it's current state, I am having alot of fun with this game and plan on playing and waiting patiently for some new content. But yeah, that's enough for talk, back to the game.

Because the "standard" of MMOs is WoW.
