  1. actually now that you mention it, you aren't kidding. I'll try to find a better color. Thanks for the feedback lol
  2. I have a suggestion with regards to self buffing. Because of how often you can die in PVP, it can get incredibly annoying having to re-use your self buff and sprint over and over again. I think that self-buffs should not reset upon death in PVP. Just a personal note. What do you guys think? Had my first round of Huttball yesterday and noticed this. Also noticed that I had no idea what the heck I was doing, so going online to check out some videos lol I contributed enough in killing the ball-carrier, and those attempting to attack the ball carrier...my issue was just handling the ball.
  3. bumping since it may have gotten lost LOL

  5. Oh I KNOW! I do hope they change this...what happens if you complete the mission w/ hardly any life left then BOOM you hit an asteroid...mission failed?
  6. Thanks! I actually JUST learned about this while listening to some podcasts.
  7. well maybe I'm just not doing it right LOL - anyone have any suggestions on guides etc? My thing is getting shot from behind. That's where most of my damage comes from...
  8. Have any of you played the old Microsoft game, Freelancer? I think that this style of space combat would be a nice alternative to the current style that we have. I mean, yah the space combat is a nice diversion, but it really doesn't feel like Star Wars...it feels like Star Fox, and I know many of you agree (based on forum posts) What do you think of this as an alternative? or something similar...I know that BW has something in the pipes, and I can't wait to hear what they have to say about it. This is how I think it should be looked at:
  9. That is great for in-guild sessions, however what if you're a smaller guild (at the moment) and looking to group outside of it and see peoples personalities, etc for possible guild recruitment...I would think that an in-game voice chat would make this easier.
  10. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by DDO or LoTRO, but of my favorite features of those two games is the ability to have in game voice chat. I have found that it is far easier to hit the F key (keybound to speak) to discuss strategy with the group than it is to try to type things out. I understand that many will say "use teamspeak or vent or skype, blah blah) however, what about the random PUG that you put together to run a flashpoint or raid? What if you are 3/4 in guild and one person is out of guild. I found myself having to retype everything that was being said in Vent, and it was rather time consuming and annoying... To the developers, is this something that you are potentially looking into? I think in-game voice chat would really go a long way. I have found that I really don't run any group content outside of guild unless its a quick quest that someone happens to be running at the same time I am...I think the implementation of voice-chat would fix this. Any thoughts?
  11. Question: Why is it that Pommel Strike is completely unusable on Elite mobs and above. I understand that they are unaffected by shout and trip. However, why is it that I can force choke or backhand an elite but can't pommel strike them? What makes them immune? is this a developer decision or an oversight? I would think that the damage that can be done to strong characters should be the same as what's done to elites. its not THAT substantial, tbh. It would be nice to get that extra attack, rather than just spamming 2 or 3 attacks on timer that actually work on them. Anyone else with me on this?
  12. lol - also, on an added note...we really need a search function. Post one question and within a minute it ends up on page number 3.
  13. This may be a better spot for this... I have a quick question for the masses on Companion development. At what point do companion storylines develop. I thought it was based on a combination of affection and your character level...however I have learned that this can't really be the case. for example I currently have 9300 affection with Vette and have gone 3 levels without any additional dialogue options. Is it based on where you are in your class story? That's the only other thing I can think of, I was just looking for confirmation.
  14. First of all /agree with the OP and huge Kudo's to the Dev's response I'm really excited to hear of the coming changes to the Mod system. I'm pretty sure the awesomesauce armor is the route they are going to take. That makes the most sense. I love the ability to find a good looking piece of Orange armor and be able to keep the mods up all the way through to endgame. I'm sure that you'll want to swap out at some point...but that's the beauty of it. You can! Simply pull out another piece of orange gear and take the mods out of what you're wearing to place it in that. Makes a lot more sense from a realism standpoint than an a-tab. Lets leave that to LOTRO. I really like how purple gear will be fully moddable as well. That opens up a world of possibilities with how to upgrade your gear. I've found this game to be 10x easier to keep up with my gear than any other MMO i've been a part of...dating back all the way to Ultima Online and EQ Well done and keep up the good work, BW! :-D
  15. I agree. I like how Bioware gives each character in their games substance. This game is no difference. Even YOUR character has "character." It makes me care about what I do. It makes it easy to be the type of sith that I am. I am one that will uphold the law in the galaxy and protect the innocent people of the Sith Empire...however, if someone says something to me that I don't like, or tries to get in my way (or is an all-and-out despicable waste of space) I have no problem having him/her feel the other end of my lightsaber. I've been having a blast with this game, and really look forward to all the things coming through the pipe Well done Bioware! To directly answer the OP's post - there are characters in the game that I have wanted to take out...a couple of people in the Sith Warrior entry storyline for example...I really didn't like their attitude
  16. im pretty sure this was meant in jest. If so, good job hitting all of the major "complaints" the trolls out there have. If you are serious...i feel for you
  17. *bump* - lol @ the fact that it took me an hour to find this post - gotta love not having a search function. That will be fixed sometime soon I'm sure, but whew, that took a while.
  18. First of all, I wanted to say that the game is great! been having a blast! Server queues are a bit high but I deal. I just find something else to do while I wait. That being said, I had a quick question about the Dark Side changes that occur. I know that if you start going dark as a Force Sensitive character, your face will start changing to match the darkness in your heart (yellow eyes appearing at Dark 1) However, if you are not a force sensitive class (ie, Bounty Hunter or Imperial Agent) and you go down a dark path, will your features change as well? I would think not, and I would hope not since the changes are brought on by the dark side of the force...however I wanted to ask, since I'm sure there are people who've gone past Dark 1 on their non-force sensitive classes. Thanks!
  19. LOL Mekrath, thank you for saving me the trouble. - everyone's gotta complain about something. I'm sorry if some users who were lucky enough to get their registration keys early feel entitled to those extra 2 days...but those are not the people that this is targeting. This targeting the user who has purchased a physical copy from an online merchant who may not receive it for a couple of days after the launch date. Again, thanks for listening folks at EA/Bioware! :-D
  20. EA/Bioware. This simple gesture has helped restore a lot of the lost faith I had on the service that is provided. It is awesome to know that you do pay attention to the fan-base and were able to come up with a reasonable conclusion. I just wanted to take the time to say "Thank you"
  21. I can appreciate that. I thought that they were initially going to end it at around 11:00 at night and reopen in the morning (after they got the kinks worked out) and it appeared that they changed the time. I dunno, it was just an opinion, but yes that does make sense. A smooth launch is a happy launch.
  22. Agreed. - Negative banter is not wanted here Waves hand - "This is not the thread you are looking for"
  23. Exactly Sin, which is not the point of the post (to complain, really) I just wanted to voice my opinion, about how silly it seems to have downtime during primetime on the last day of early release. I still love the game, and as long as there aren't any major blunders with regards to EA or Bioware's service to their customers, I will continue to support the game. I'm not opposed to jumping ship if I feel that the support staff is unfair to its clientele. Only time will tell, though. So far I like what I've seen coming up. I just hope they follow through
  24. I'm not really one for trolling or being upset with anything...but anyone else find this amusing? December 19th...last day of early access, which was originally slated to end at roughly 10pm (ish) in preparation for the launch on the 20th... There is now going to be down for maintenance...not at 2am when people are probably going to be sleeping...but at 7pm EST and expected to end at 11pm EST, right when the end of early access starts LOL. I know noone needed to provide anyone with early access at all, and I love the game so I'm not super bashing anything...but seriously the folks at EA/Bioware are really battin 1000 when it comes to customer relations.... First they reversed what was said about there being a grace period, and now they're having "scheduled maintenance" 3 hours earlier than the end of the early release period? Seriously? oh well, I guess that's what you can do when you're a big name company. Not trying to start a bash the dev war, just wanted to put this out there...this, in my opinion, is pretty bad form.
