  1. Hi all, I've been back but my experience has been a bit lackluster. Looking for an active guild (although I will say ahead of time over Xmas, I won't be active). I have a level 50 healing operative (rusty), level 50 sorcerer (rusty), level 53 jug (tank). Obviously need to level up my old characters and gear up. I also have alts on the pub side so forgive me for that I also forgot to say that I don't RP but don't mind being in a guild that has RPers or RP events, just not my thing.
  2. You know one of my biggest complaints regarding SWTOR is it is too fast to level. I've been playing this past couple weeks and your worlds are dead. 30-40 people max, you are lucky to run into another person. These aren't living, breathing worlds. There aren't lots of people questing, grouping up for Heroics is a bit of a pain. You know where everyone is at? Imperial Fleet. They are probably in Strongholds as well. You can level in a couple days with some dedication from 1-55 without 12x xp. Why even have levels at all if they don't matter?
  3. This is true for most laptop users though so I don't think this would be a limiting factor. I finally got tired of waiting for Sony's 'custom' driver install to find a work around and install the driver manually. It actually took a bit of work to do so and if you've ever screwed up video drivers, it is scary to try to mess with them I've found in general though that my MacBook (I have an old one I use for everything but gaming) gets updates way more often than my Sony Vaio.
  4. I've been watching the recent events from the past few days regarding the new Apple laptops that were released. I ordered a MacBook Pro online within minutes of them going on sale. Within a few minutes, the sales went from 'shipping in next 24 hours' to '2-3 days' to '5-6 days'. Within hours, shipments went to 2-3 weeks and now are at 3-4 weeks. I guess I was a little naive because I was told there generally weren't lines for big ticket items like there were for iPhones/iPads. People are starting to wait in lines in the morning at stores and stores are getting swamped. Some of the configurations people are buying cost over $3k, the new displays are over $2k. And people are waiting in line for these systems? Now this is where I say that companies have to look at this and wonder if they can truly say that no that isn't the PC market they want to capture. Something I wanted to add is that Apple actually featured Diablo 3 in their presentation about the new laptops. Imagine if it was SWTOR instead....
  5. I haven't been back here in a long time but I'm excited to say I just ordered a new Macbook Pro. Yes I will be using OSX and I'm seriously considering canceling my account. Yeah I know, bootcamp, yada yada yada. I'd prefer not to use Windows and I'm ok if that means I can't play a certain game. It is ok anyway, SWTOR doesn't need OSX users does it?
  6. Yup, I've been watching it It is out for delivery right now!
