  1. 1+mil?! I'm going to hug my guildie tonight for gifting me mine! Best of luck to you!
  2. My scoundrel was based visually on my brother and somewhat named after him as well. He was killed by a drunk driver in 2011. SWTOR is my first MMO and he was supposed to play with me.
  3. So, please forgive me if this has already been answered, but the description of Guardianship in the skill tree states that it protects all allies in range for a moderate amount of damage. What is that damage protection based on? Force power? Strength? I've dug around the forums and web a bit but I think I might be using the wrong search terms... Just a musing that came up while discussing various Guardian tanking setups with a few fellow Guards and none of us had an answer on how it was determined.
  4. Loving this set on my Sawbones! I hated the cape looks and my scoundrel got the Esseles jacket early on and wore it all the way to 55! Got extremely lucky that one of my guildies loves me and gave me the duster free of charge from one of his packs.
  5. Agreed. I love my saber reflect and use it frequently. Got stuck under a shuttle once in Makeb (>_<) and dueled a guildie (Commando) to get him to blast me out of it. Have never defeated him before in a duel but did this time and I credit it to him eating his own Grav round/full auto's with SR. SWEET VICTORY!
  6. 75 for Rakata and Columi pieces, 99 for Campaign
  7. Meh. Think they have it mostly worked out now. I'm on a 3 month subscription and actually got my monthly allotment BEFORE my date (19th) this month. Last month was right on time as well.
  8. I was quite surprised when Corso actually APPROVED heftily to some of my DS choices. He isn't as goody goody as one would think.... As for your companions liking you.... that's what gifts are for.
  9. I think the decision had something to do with the capital worlds being quest worlds and very early on. The populations on those planets were expected to be high in the beginning so adding an even higher population as a "core" stop for EVERYONE at all levels would have been difficult and cluttered.
  10. I too would be interested in your hybrid build. I have a Defense 31 Guardian and haven't had issues with threat until HM EC with my commandos going balls to the walls on Stormcaller.
  11. Never had a problem and when I switched to my new phone, CS had me swapped over no muss, no fuss. As for black text, it's a known bug. You need to fully end the application (not just close it) and restart it and your text will be yellow/gold again.
  12. My DS Scoundrel has me in stitches all the time! Fave story right there!
  13. My beef is with the helmet. I bought it because it was PERFECT for my DS Smuggler. Now it has googles and earmuffs. ARGH! Not at all the look I wanted and PAID for. Now I need to find a different helmet and pay to move my mods to it, pay of an aug kit, and pay to put the aug kit in it! I know some people have plenty of credits but I'm not one of them!
  14. NOT happy about the trailblazer change at all! My smuggler had that helmet because of the looks. If I wanted goggles, I'd have BOUGHT something with goggles. Now I have to find a replacement AND pay more credits and another augment slot to put on it. They could have ADDED a set instead of changing one that didn't need changed.
  15. My Republics always get Battle of Ilum or Kaon. So tired of them!
  16. Check for some XP boosters on the GTN as well. They can usually be found for relatively cheap prices (on my server at least) to help him close the gap with you. Otherwise go back and do some bonus series, flashpoints, and space missions.
  17. Oh yes that! I used my Synth weaver Jedi to make some armor for my Sith and what a horrible surprise! The Sith is a Mirialan (so green) and the armor turned RED. He looks like a walking Christmas ornament!
  18. Noxxic could help a bit. http://www.noxxic.com Not so much "do this for xx level, but a general idea of where you can start for a build and rotation then customize it to you.
  19. Have to agree with above poster. I main as a tank and alt as a healer. When I first started tanking, I popped guard on my healer right away every time. Later on, i started realizing that I got more benefit out of it by popping it on the player that most needed it, which may or may not be the healer depending on the circumstances. Sometimes it is on that DPS who thinks they need to go all out at the very start of every fight and give the tank no time to build up the top of the threat table. Sometimes it's the DPS who is high geared and skilled enough that they are doing it unintentionally. Sometimes it's the healer drawing to much aggro with those huge heals. Situation means everything. I've been PUGging with my healer a lot lately and I've taken to waiting a few pulls to evaluate the situation then I'll ask the tank if I can be guarded if it is warranted. Lately it is that I've been running SM FPs with lvl 44-47 people on my lvl 50 healer. I'm going to pull aggro when I heal. So I'll ask. Never been told no when I've explained my reasoning but it isn't required because "I'm the healer".
  20. Somewhat agree with above poster. I used my synth skill a lot during leveling to gear my companion mostly (Kira) and to get lesser items like bracers and belts. Although, with the ability to get your armor set bonus through purchasing campaign armorings, I hope there is a better market for crafted armors for the visual aspect but somewhat doubtful as the schems you can learn are rather lackluster. BUT, you can also craft augments and augment kits with synth and that is by far the most use my synth skill gets. You can craft strength, willpower, defense, alacrity, and presence augs. My JK Guardian isn't wearing endgame gear but instead something I liked the looks of with a campaign armoring of.
  21. I main as a tank (Guardian) and alt as a healer (Scoundrel) and I think it really depends on WHICH spec you play and what kind of groups you end up in. I don't tank PUGs anymore after one too many bad experiences but I love to tank with my guild who actually uses CC and follows a kill order. I'll PUG on my healer still (subject to change!). Personally, I don't think either is "hard", just a matter of preference. Not sure I agree with you that the healer doesn't worry about mob placement, interrupts, etc either. I spend a lot of time watching where friendlies and enemies alike are standing, where I'm standing, and I've been interrupting more than my DPS lately and sometimes more than the tank....
