  1. You can sell them with todays patch... My point is... what is the use of epic recipes for Biochem only if they are exactly, totally and absolutely the same as a tradeable one everyone else can now use?
  2. Seriously, this bug is a MAJOR problem for groups trying to progress through this instance. He isn't some bonus boss you can just decide not to do. He is right in your way... Yes, you can activate the switch behind him and just die downstairs to get past him if all else fails. But honestly... that's just ridiculous. How many weeks/months do we have to wait for this crap to be fixed?
  3. I did indeed start out as Armormech. After i made myself Rakata bracers and the belt i dropped it in favor of Biochem. Mainly because i always liked the "alchemy" kind of crafting skills in MMOs. Having easier access to re-useables and improved versions of potions/stims or longer duration buffs only available to maximum skill alchemists/biochemists was always more appealing to me than crafting armor/weapons. Mainly because there's usually better stuff dropping in raids anyway. While i agree that no single crew skill should be so overpowered that it's basicly a must-have for everyone nerfing everything to be equally pointless is absolutely the wrong approach. So i'm Biochem... i can now make re-usable stimpacks, medpacks and adrenals for others. Great. But my own, epic, Biochem ONLY, 400 skill Rakata items are now not even a SINGLE point better than the stuff everyone else can use? Seriously? It doesn't have to be a huge difference... but there has to be at least SOME benefit in choosing a craft and sticking with it.
  4. Yeah good going Bioware. So the Biochem ONLY Rakata Stims, Medpacks and Adrenals will be exactly like the other stuff you can use without having the skill. Thats, like... really awesome! Instead of maybe trying to give other jobs some viable bind on pickup stuff that would make them worthwhile to have, you just reduce everything to be equally pointless. What the hell would i keep Biochem for now if the stuff ONLY i am able to use isn't even a TINY bit better than all the non restricted stuff? Someone at Bioware really needs to get a clue about what crafting is about. The whole itemization and balance is ridiculous. I agree that no crafting skill should be so overpowered that it's the "only" viable choice for endgame... but the way Bioware keeps "fixing" these issues is just beyond lazy. Why not let everyone just learn every craft and gathering skill? Noone has to choose which craft is best... just pick all! Genius... no?
  5. So... running a few minutes to the nearest taxi location, driving the speeder to a place somewhere outside the actual spaceport, running a few more minutes to the spaceport, moving through it, entering your class hanger, run to the ship, enter the ship, run up to the galaxy map, travel to new planet, and then reverse all these steps... is something that helps form friendships? Really? I am in not one of the "End Game, powerleveing Zerg crowd" you apparently hate, but i'm also not someone who just logs on to sit in the local cantina staring at the Twi'lek dancers while sharing stories with other RPers all day long. I actually like to "play" a game. And wasting so much time EVERY time i want to get to a new location just gets very very VERY tedious.
  6. So... you can drastically alter the distance from ultra very low to non-existant... I mean of course i don't expect to see grass for miles and miles, but having it sprout out of the ground a few steps ahead of my character even on the highest possible settings is pretty sad.
  7. I'm really starting to tire of the ridiculous graphical issues this game has. Grass draw distance that makes you think you're the goddess of spring... sprouting flowers with your footsteps, equipment textures that are so low quality it hurts to look at them, no AA, horrible shadows, almost no settings to tweak the graphics in the first place... the list goes on. It's now over a month since release and none of these issues have been adressed. And no word on when we can expect an improvement. I wouldn't be as bitter about it if the other "major" problems like bugged, unkillable, broken Flashpoint bosses, hugely unbalanced crafting, countless UI bugs and other issues had been fixed. I like the game... even with all its flaws. But my patience is starting to run thin... and i'm not alone it seems. There's less and less people logging on in my guild, and the general population of my server seems to dwindle too. It's really high time for Bioware to get their act together. I have always loved their games... but SWTOR makes enjoying it very hard at times.
  8. Indeed... i would be more than happy with that improvement.
  9. Please, kindly post pictures of high quality textures on armor and equipment outside of cutscenes. If you can do that, i will name my firstborn after you.
  10. The whole reason of all this whining is that high quality textures DO exist... you see them all the time in cutscenes. Just why the heck is everyone forced to use low quality trash textures because Bioware isn't able to just have more graphic customization settings. If i have a powerful PC i want to make use of it. If you don't have one, then lower the settings until you get acceptable FPS. I'd like to decide myself if my game runs at 1 FPS or 60... no need for Bioware to force their "optimized" graphics on everyone.
  11. I'm more concered about the way the character looks than the shadow quality. Which doesn't mean i don't agree with you there... i just find the textures even worse.
  12. You can still make an MMO with armor textures that don't look like washed off watercolors even on the highest possible quality settings and have it run on PCs that are a couple of years old. There is lots of room between state of the art ultra-max-mega-i-eat-your-graphics-card-for-breakfast quality and the mess we have to deal with at the moment.
  13. It is known. It's just that some people obviously can't (or don't want) to see the texture issue, and claim everything is perfectly fine and the game looks amazing no matter what. And that is simply not the case.
