  1. This is not true. Its 2 min for one individual player to hold the ball before blowing up, if he tosses it, the timer resets. There is NO team timer. I don't know where you got that info from, but don't spread it like its true.
  2. Guardians tanks are arguably the best for rated groups cos of the double leaps and cc, great for huttball and peeling, plus their defensive cooldowns are also the best of the 3 tanks for pvp. Guardian dps is better than most of the ACs, however there is little reason to take one over a sentinel. Some might feel they perform as well, or have slightly more burst as focus, but the simple fact is that sents have predation/transcendence, which is very important for rateds (anyone who argues otherwise hasn't played enough rateds). In any case, in my experience, it is VERY difficult to keep up with dps from similar geared vanguards and sents, its rare for me to come out tops in my group. Its in the same ballpark most of the time, but i feel the times when i do equal them, its when we cream the opposition anyway. Also note that sents can do focus almost as well as guardians. The difference is the 10% bonus to damage for 4 secs after a leap for a guardian. Sents are much easier to keep alive though, cos they have 2 abilities which essentially give them a second life if they have a dedicated healer. With all that being said, if you're not gonna do rateds hardcore, then guardian is a fine choice for pug pvping or just playing with friends. Its not gimped like merc dps and much easier to excel with than ops or sorcs. Vigilance is excellent for 1v1s once you get geared and focus is always fun, just run around smash bombing everything you see.
  3. 1. Revan was not an 'unauthorized vigilante' as you put it. He did not have the backing of the jedi high council, but remember that the council is NOT the government of the republic. Revan was a general of the republic and presumably fully sanctioned by the senate. Its arguable that the jedi who chose to remain neutral while the mandalorians were slaughtering the people of the republic are traitors. And they are definitely cowards. If you remember the first conversation with Atris in her academy (kotor 2), you'll know that the issue was far from black and white. 2. Vitiate is literally the most powerful being in the galaxy, he could corrupt anyone. If Revan was 'weak willed', he would never have defied the council in the first place. 3. Bastila is not a criminal for bringing Revan to the Jedi. It is an accepted fact that the jedi have a certain level of autonomy as the galaxy's peacekeepers, they need it in order to function. Revan is one of their own, therefore it was understood that he would be tried as a jedi. Anyway what 'federal prison' could hold him? 4. He wasn't 'remade' into a jedi, he was always a jedi, thats the whole point of the story. Redemption and all that. You may not think of him as a hero, since he was just cleaning up his own mess, but he's no brainless darth maul. He's more like Vader, except less successful at killing the emperor. 5. The thread title is 'Revan should be in jail', he served 300 years in solitary confinement. Not good enough for you? Then again, who knows how Revan's story finally ends after he disappears from the foundry. Vitiate certainly never succeeded in consuming the galaxy, so it stands to reason someone must have stopped him or killed him. I mean, he could have died of extreme old age, but that seems lame and unlikely. My money is on Revan to finally end that old ****er. Perhaps we will see this in an expansion or book in future. I think it would be awesome for there to be a new trilogy centered on Revan, too bad GL would never allow that.
  4. You do realize most people will just think the video you post is one of like a hundred, where the other 99 you're getting creamed over and over. If you want the community to take you seriously you should live stream your experiment. And of course don't have 3 of your fully augmented WH buddies protecting you every step of the way.
  5. I'm pretty sure you get the pass ability the moment you step into the pit for the first time. Also the loading screen before the match clearly explains how the game is played, its not difficult to understand that there must be a button for passing.
  6. I don't understand the point of this. Why not just type out what you want to say? Can you explain the benefits in detail to us simple minded folk?
  7. Cool story. Your point being?
  8. OP, you do realise those very same people you're talking about could have made a similar thread about you for wasting their time and being a little ***** about it by not talking it over. In the first example you waste time by killing trash that is of no value then in the second example you get annoyed because your time is being wasted? Seems kinda hypocritical and selfish to me.
  9. The imperial version is exactly the same. I've done both, I know. They actually fixed the grapple points some what, you don't need to hit spacebar anymore to land properly.
  10. He claimed to solo malgus, not the whole instance i believe. How is a video not proof anyway? What more do you want? Why are you so butthurt about this? I think being able to solo a hardmode final boss (as the video quite clearly shows he did) is deserving of praise even if he did have help getting to that point.

    All Things Equal

Er, the answer is obviously the gear will determine the winner. But i think you already knew that, what's the point of this post?
  12. Recruit to WH, yes the fear gap is big. BM to WH is really small and some BM pieces are actually better itemised statwise. However if you factor in augments then the gear gap does become pretty insurmountable. Especially since most people don't augment BM gear because of the cost.
  13. Lol what? It was NEVER taken down. Bioware has been conspicuously silent about it, cos it never changed.
  14. Why do you list guardian utility as having 3 protective panic buttons when Sents have 3 far superior defensive cooldowns. I am not sure focused defense counts as a 'panic' button either, whereas for sents vanishing will definitely save their butts in pve (complete threat drop) and of course their most famous Guarded by the Force ability. Their 3rd defensive cooldown cloak of pain (using the imp name) is 20% dr compared to focused defense's 15%. Their 'self-heal' is actually a group heal as well, raid-wide in fact. Also heavy armor don't mean **** when you're in dps stance. You should know by now. Taking all of the above into account its quite clear that the usefulness of a sentinel far outweighs that of a guardian in a raid, even if you consider both their dps to be equal, which i highly doubt. It might be close, but imo its not within 5% of a watchmen sent.
  15. What do you mean you don't need crit? Do you not use Master Strike, Zealous Leap, Force Exhaustion and Blade Storm? Those abilities all need crit. By stacking power and surge and ignoring crit you're severely gimping your overall damage and even your burst since bladestorm is normally used in conjunction with stacked sweeps. Also note that by stacking power/surge you're also throwing away stats since surge has a pretty hard cap and filling your gear with those enhancements means you''ll be going way over that cap. Don't underestimate the usefulness of accuracy, you don't want your master strikes parried do you? I never understood why so many say to ignore crit as a focus guardian. You should try to balance it for the best results, favor power of course, but this is true for the every class as well.
  16. If you're taking 5hrs to get 2 bars of exp at lvl 47, you must be doing something wrong. Perhaps lvl with a friend? I have 5 50s and each one (except the first, cos i pvped a lot with that one) has taken me about 60-70 hrs to get to 50. And this is without rushing, meaning i take the time to pvp and do fps. It should NOT take you more than 2-3 hrs for each lvl after 40. In fact i found the lvling rate rather consistent after lvl 30. If you are having difficulty with quests i suggest you upgrade your gear so that everything (including relics, implants, earpiece) is close to your current lvl and at least green quality. Try to pick up all the quests in one area then do them all together before going back to turn them in, also try to skip packs of mobs if possible and use a healing companion to reduce downtime.
  17. 30 is the lvl for most classes to stop sucking, but not powertechs. The class doesn't change much from 10-50, honestly. Get used to spamming flame burst.
  18. 30k hp in a wz? Thats impossible for a juggernaut. Even if he was wearing full PVE tank gear with fortitude augments and stim and buffed, he would still not have 30k hp. A rage jugg in such gear would hit you for like 2k with a stacked smash (just a wild guess but its probably around there). Unless you're rounding up 20k to 30k, you're talking ********. I'd like a screenshot of a guardian in pvp gear with 30k hp smashing you for 6k, thats just ridiculous.
  19. "millions of foreigners with no manners" Wow, just wow. Talk about bigotry. Good riddance to you.
  20. Don't take the 30% aoe damage reduction if you're annihilation. Its a terrible talent. Do yourself a favor and take something else, its totally worthless.
  21. This exploit is extremely annoying as a bunch of rwz teams have started to use it. Its difficult to spot in the heat of battle because their bodies are almost completely inside the walls and the capture beams are obscured, meaning they can usually get off one or two ticks before anyone can respond. Its just really broken and frustrating to fight against teams that exploit this.
  22. I have 5 50s now. JK, SW, SI, BH and IA. I'd have to say the sith warrior storyline is my favorite, followed closely by imperial agent. They just have a much more coherent overall storyline, with all the arcs building up and leading into one another more smoothly. The payoff for the sith warrior, that feeling of satisfaction at the end, is really great. Though they have to be played as mostly light side, since if you're full dark side, you just become the galaxy's biggest psychopath/jerk who's a ******* for the sake of being a *******. Oh yeah, if you enjoy having everyone around you treat you like royalty and suck your dick, then SW is also great for that. They're all 'my lord this' and 'my lord that' after you finish your training, you also get your own slave with a shock collar. On the other hand, if you're some kind of masochist, IA is for you, i won't spoil it by saying more.

Playing a pyro powertech in pvp will only make you realize how much your class sucks in comparison. Go ahead and try it.
  24. There are no fat women in video games, cos men play video games. Simple as that.
  25. All you need to do, is get to 50, you say you're lvl 44, you couldn't take 6 more levels? What were you playing this game for anyway? Once you get to 50 you don't have to move around so much. Just do the same fps/ops/wzs over and over again from the comfort of your ship, or where ever else you choose to camp at. My point being, i actually miss lvling, the 'moving around' on planets and following the quest where it takes me. Having been 50 since last december, i still think the best part of the game was the story, and wish that bioware would just release more class quests so i can go back to walking about with some purpose.
