  1. The completion of the star fortress destruction quest chain. Elitism. The difference is that you still may play 100m sprinting. What you ask for is to allow casual sprinters only 50m runs. As they dont deserve to run the whole 100m.
  2. A lot of people want a trivial game, as it seems. So tell me, who is right?
  3. The level of the challenge had been raised extraordinary after the companions were nerfed. Please amuse me with another "Its only their fault if they dont manage it".
  4. RPGs give the best character progression rewards, but rarely gate content behind challenges. Thats a bad habit, in special in a MMORPG, where everyone has the same difficulty level. Here we are, with the real life and capitalism starring as the apple, and a computer game as the orange. Elitism.
  5. Yes, with special items. Or something like a special snowflake mount. But surely not exclusive content. Dont hyperbole. The achievement is still a challenge if you nerf h2+ modes for console buffed players. For what should i be envious? That some people have no life but the best epics? You know, i got my epics in real life and not something virtual as like a computer game. "It is only your fault if you dont manage it". So much for elitism. "Give the people cake if they have no bread".. Always the same pattern. And i doubt you really are any kind of skilled gamer. This community is full of hypocrisy.
  6. I think it will be something like this: - companions are being buffed for an average of 2,5% keeping them still useless - star fortress quest chain may now be completed in solo mode.. while solo mode has been made more challenging because.. well.. hardcore gamers asked for it. Thats all.
  7. Because there is optional group content, which is enough to call it a MMO. MMO does not mean you have to play in groups all the time and are locked out of it completely if you dont group up.
  8. Because they cant play their content anymore if their healer companion does not work properly. So they lose the access to that content. And elitism is the "Its all your fault if you dont manage it"-thing. No, this is a discussion about the lack of arguments from the pro-nerf faction. And the lack of arguments is visible if you ask them why bioware has to nerf it for everyone while options are possible.
  9. Its nothing new that the elitists want exclusivity. They want to reduce accessibiltiy. They want content and the best rewards only for themself. Based on nothing but envy and hatred.
  10. You are right. Pseudo-elitist hardcore gamers are like infants, who want everything for their own only. With inabilities to find friends in real life they look for friends in computer games while those are only alliances of purpose. The typical elitist hardcore gamer is the lowest step in the evolution of a gamer, from my point of view. They do not want to construct gameplay for everyone, they want to take it away. They demand exclusivity, they want every gameplay to be on their level or what they think their level is.
  11. The "hardcores" of today are the noobs of yesterday. They unfortunately often forget they were noobs. Which makes them noobs again. There is nothing more toxic in the community than elitism. Elitism did destroy games (SWTOR launch, Wildstar..) because the elitsts demanded everything to be challenging and the games being based on competition.. while most players dont even care a bit about that. Elitists infest this forums from the start, and are the main culprit for letting the game fail at start. Due to biased feedback asking for challenges and inaccessibility. Due to devs sharing their bias,
  12. I meant that the forum is being watched mainly by engaged players. Hardcore players. And they already voted for 70% against the nerf. Now imagine, all normal and low level players would use the forum as well. Do you think the percentage value would get higher or lower? I think it would get a lot higher, as those who look for challenges actually are engaged players mainly who actively use forums, blogs and streams. So the 70% are the lowest bottom percentage, from my point of view.
  13. Well, yes, forums are viewed by a small minority. The problem is that forums are mainly used by the most engaged players, means hardcore players.. if you would add all those people who dont view the forums, you probably would get a way higher rate, as the most engaged players already watch the forums. I myself prefer a low and medium challenge and focus completely on story and fun. I am sure there are a lot of players like me in a game like SWTOR.. whichs strenghth actually is the story and the accessibility.
  14. While the difference is that solo players never would group up and group healers normaly attach to groups to play group content. So if you actually want to equip a group healer, stick to a group. So its inherent that group healers should play in groups, while the nerf forced solo players into organized content they never planned to play. Also, you still need healers in endgame content, in special operations and heroic full group content. So you just hyperbole a lot here. I tell you, you will not find a working argument to nerf it for everyone if there is a way to find options to allow players to play a challenge. Dont try anymore. Oh.. and hey, if you dont find a group with your healer, friend.. just ask for help in the public chat. Just do it. Wont you? I am sure there are people who will help you. If you need it.
  15. You ignore the fact there are polls in this forum showing that 70% are unhappy with the nerf, and that there are statistics of MMORPGs showing minority and majority gameplay. And believe me, challenging gameplay often does not even manage to get higher than 10%. You are suffering from a narrow tunnel vision, and dont even see it.
  16. No, its no real denial, as you just are able to turn off skills selectively as a solo player. Solo healers would be able to solo the content as well. Also, you just could look for a guild to help you to equip as a healer as a group healer is always needed by operation guilds. Just join a guild if you play a healer. Or just ask someone for help if you arent able to complete the content. I am sure there are thousands of players that would help you then.
  17. You are completely right. I would never dare to ask someone to stop playing. And options actually allow people to tune their gameplay as they like it. Bioware actually decided to take away options instead of giving more of them. And a special breed of players actually used it to tell people to leave if they have no fun anymore. Which surely is the worst solution possible. So to actually fix the problem, we need a compromise. And a compromise adds options to a game. As like the companion ability switch i mentioned.
  18. There are no problems. It's really that easy. Just disable 3 of 4 healing skills on your companion and he wont be too strong anymore. You got your challenge, and players may play with op companions if they chose to. You have nothing to lose here. And there are enough people here on the forums who are willing to tell you how to disable the skills if you need help.
  19. So the best thing to do is to add options to the game. As like tuning companions back to prior 4.0.2 and asking those who like a challenge to disable companion abilities.
  20. The corpse input lag is a bug. The companion nerf is a biased intended change towards hardcore gamers. But both should be hotfixed. And i am sure both lead to players canceling subs.
  21. Just disable abilities on your companion if you feel they become too strong. If you dont know how to do it, just ask in the forums.
  22. What kind of bad parent are you if you let a 3 year old play a game thats PEGI 16? Full of murder and violence? Really, there is a limit for hardcore gaming. And it starts where you forget about your parent responsibilties. Could anyone report that "mom" or "dad" to the local authority to protect his little kid?
  23. My reason for playing solo is that the typical organized playerbase of MMORPGs is mainly build out of idiots. If i would want to raid or to play flashpoints with the same people over and over, i also had to take the annoyances from the raid spot whiners, the loot envy, the ts-criers, the elitists who think everything is the fault of those who dont play as they want you to and the typical choleric raider leader, who needs a blood pressure pill anytime someone stands in the fire. I think the organized raiding guilds are the most toxic part of every mmorpg, and i try to avoid these disgusting people as much as possible. For me, organized groups in mmorpgs are the last place i want to be. I dont want to live on their schedules, and i dont want to be dependend on the aegis of a raid- or guild leader. I want to play what i like when i like to. Additionally to that, group alignments in MMORPGs are just alliances of purpose and increase the level of addiction beyond the level of how much people actually want to play games to a level where its about "playing for the guild". Add all that together and the reason not to play in groups is a convincing argument.
  24. I think the race of Jar Jar Binks should be a playable race in SWTOR.
