  1. I honestly don't think they have the capability to do server merges. The amount of chaos it'll cause with name changes (characters and Legacy) will be the bottleneck. I just don't see them doing it. I also don't see them doing transfers. Would Legacy exp transfer? What if you have characters on the other server, would they merge Legacy exp? They've honestly created a system that limits a lot of that kind of flexibility. Legacy names (and exp) should have been unique across the entire game (or just have them be your forum name) and surnames should have either been not added or not tied to the Legacy name. But, that's hindsight at this point. So many cluster-eff decisions in this game. Things are really starting to come apart.
  2. I call out "Port" and "Starboard".
  3. I think what you're saying is your talents are what you really want on the first character and so you're making a second character. I can't really tell, but your comment of "Kept reading about different styles, builds, etc. here in the forums but it was too late to change some things." There are currently only three things that you can't change right now: a) How your character looks (race, sex, size, etc.) b) Your Advanced Class choice c) Your Legacy Name If you're rerolling a character to change talents you should actually head to the Fleet and just visit the little Greedo looking fella who allows you to do that. He's in the southern-most section of the Fleet where the class trainers are. It'll cost credits (and costs more and more each time you decide to change everything) but it's going to be less painful than leveling a whole other character. If this isn't what you're meaning, please clarify yourself and hopefully someone can help you out.
  4. I was Meudwy, Portsmouth, and Dustyfoot on Brandywine.
  5. Or make it a combination of games completed and medals earned. *shrug* Nothing is going to make everyone happy though.
  6. True, but there are at least two (one being The Gauntlet) where you are forced to use specific Companions for combat, rather than just summoning the right person for conversations. I'm not sure if other classes are put into situations where they have to jump through the hoops Troopers do. If Smugglers are just lucky with not having to deal with that then it's a bonus for them, but overall I don't think this is something that makes a lots of sense mechanic-wise.
  7. Why are you talking about Sage/Sorc skills? *boggle* NM, your post explaining came through after my post. LOL
  8. Bugs, Errors, Broken. (Items on this list are actual errors in the game, bugs, glitches, broken mechanics, things not working as advertised, etc.) 1) Unclear map indicators on how to get to Vik on The Gauntlet. 2) Falling through the bridges on The Gauntlet. 3) Not a bug, but a complaint: The Trooper main storyline (not the Companion specific quests you get based on level/affection) has at least two points where you are forced to use specific Companions. I don't know about other main stoyline quests, but the Smuggler one does not do this. This, to me, is disruptive to gameplay because it forces you to gear up additional companions and change the way you play to accommodate the mechanics of these companions.
  9. It's the first area on Balmorra.
  10. They're available in Bug Town. I think there are also some available on the Orbital Station for Ilum.
  11. Aric proposing to Seaward (notice the extra Aric getting ready to make the night awkward): http://bit.ly/wn7WId Seaward and Dorne on Hoth: http://bit.ly/yfVFRa Havoc Squad at the end of Chapter Three: http://bit.ly/yEyPQ5
  12. They're locked by Crew Skill level, not character level. You'll get higher tier missions once your Crew Skill is high enough.
  13. My current spec is almost identical to the one you've posted. The only difference is I went 2/2 in Tenacious Defense and didn't put any points into Advanced Tech.
  14. Exactly. It's like a weekly routine for this guy.
  15. You can get all the way to 50 through PvP. Enjoy.
  16. People have unlocked their legacies, but it hasn't been implemented into the game yet. As of now we really have no idea what it'll make available for us.
  17. Soa The Infernal One is the last boss in the Eternity Vault.
  18. Yup, noticed this last night too. Seemed to empty out really quickly doing the same DPS rotation I've been doing for weeks. So glad my Commando is almost 50. At least my 50 Scoundrel can be used for running Crew Skills I guess...
  19. It's not just that you're lacking interrupts at your level; you don't really get any even at later levels. Spending two points to improve one of the few interrupts we have and to turn Stockstrike into an interrupt is a really good deal IMHO.
  20. You need to go back to that very last room where your companion sliced a computer. The door to get you to Vik is there. The map doesn't help at all.
  21. I believe force users get an additional 10% chance to block attacks. The 6% accuracy bonus is useful for that. It's also useful to negate the bonus bosses get in PvE.
  22. Honestly, if your friends are dead set on those classes I'd suggest you make a Sawbones/Scrapper Scoundrel. You'd be able to off heal while assisting with DPS and you'd also bring the 5% crit buff to the table. You also wouldn't be competing for drops. With someone else tanking you'll be able to do more DPS (positional attacks) too.
  23. What kind of guide is it? If it's the official one it's not going to give pointers like that. It'll tell you where quest hubs are, what level range each planet is, where datacroms are, etc. It's kind of nice with the maps and stuff, but won't really give you any huge info on leveling. If it's an online poweleveling guide I'd say pass it up for sure. The game doesn't take that long and honestly if he's just rushing through things he'll more than likely get bored quickly. This game really is one worth taking your time with.
