Unsanctioned is sitting at about 49 toons (40+ accounts). Web site is updated and we're holding a joint RP with Gundark Group on Friday. We've got about 4 more RPs plotted out for the guild in the next couple weeks, one of which will start a long-running guild RP.

For Rep side, it's the Fleet cantina, but I've also seen RP on Nar Shaddaa, Coruscant, the starter planets and Tattooine recently. Ebon-hawk.net is the most used web site from what I can see. it's topping this forum and swtor-rp.com right now for Ebon Hawk RP news and info.

Just dropping a quick update: Unsanctioned currently has about 30 active guildies, all RPers. We held our first RP yesterday on the Republic Fleet and it went well, with several members showing up. I'm hoping to update the web site this week!

So the Republic laid down their weapons in peace. But the Empire does not want that peace. They're sabotaging us every chance they get. The Republic can't act for fear of breaking the treaty. I can just about guarantee there was no notification on Ebon Hawk. For one thing, my chat box is oversized and I watch it when I'm doing pretty much nothing, which is what I was doing for the past half hour. For another, I was in a faction-wide OOC which was actively talking and no one in the channel mentioned it. An entire faction not noticing a server shut down message on a heavy to very heavy populated server seems pretty unrealistic.

It happens, but usually it's an event. I know Sanctum had an RP yesterday that involved an all out fight and also has a couple of events coming up like this - a tournament today, PvP on on Tatooine tomorrow. Another is companion fights 3/3 - don't remember where. I've also seen entire flagged guilds running around Corellia. My leveling partner and I run around flagged because we like world PvP, but we don't see too many others doing the same. And I know there's been some talk of keeping /say on Ilum IC.

I'd be fine with that as a nickname or code name, as long as you also provided your character's real name as well, i.e. Bob Jones, aka Accuracy. Or alluded to the fact that there was another name. As long as it was clear, I see no real problem. (And if I played a character named Accuracy, he probably wouldn't be able to hit the broad side of a barn )

I've had this situation a few times in the past couple weeks (different server, though). I had to keep turning down invites to impromptu RP so I could get my main to 50 and a ship for one of my alts. But it's not a bad thing. Right now, I'm considering designating one of my alts as a private one so I can actually play the game.

Strangely enough, I have never seen a trooper named Roc in the IC or OOC channel of Sanctum (or at any of our open RP events). Ever. And I'm online something like 10 am through 1 am every single day, almost entirely Republic-side. I also advertise the chat channels fairly heavily and they're listed on this forum, on the swtor-rp web site, on sanctumoftheexalted.com and on the Facebook page for the server. When were you on Sanctum and for how long? The names/designations that you give your toons sound like your trooper got very little time and effort, while your treasure hunter actually got developed. Here's a word of advice for anyone looking for an RP server: Do your homework. And I don't mean starting one of these threads to find out which server has the most people posting on the forums. Try this: Identify what zone you're in (i.e. East Coast, West Coast, etc.). Go and look at what RP servers are designated for your zone and your type of play (PvP vs. PvE). You've already eliminated a bunch of servers from your potential "roll a new character" list. Now, pick one (or two at the most). Go through the forums and find their IC and OOC channel names. Create your new toon, /cjoin the IC and OOC channels and lurk - for longer than an hour. See what the RP community looks like. Are they talkative? Can they spell? Are they amusing? Do they feel like potential friends to you? Now, ask what upcoming RP they have, or what RP events the server has had in the past week (don't ask in General - there's always a troll on every server and you'll probably find him). Ask anything else that's important to you (like whether RP gets griefed, whether there's ERP, whatever). You now have a better basis to judge the server - asking the RP community who's online at the time you actually play, not just the 5 or so who hang out in the forums. If I was starting the game right now, this is exactly how I would choose, and if there were several servers in my zone (which there are, being East Coast), the ones with people in the forums calling out negativity against other servers would be last on my list to try. Why would I want to play with someone who constantly feels the need to down other RP servers? Additionally, if any of you would like to see the "ghost town" of Sanctum's open RP, I'll be happy to post some screenshots. In fact, I've already done so about a month ago, but I can post more recent ones from events in the past couple weeks, and I know theres a fraps on the Facebook page of our Valentine event.

Yes, thanks for the clarification. There were a few people left scratching their heads at the "hostile" definition and thought maybe it was especially harsh server trolls in General chat. I've seen a couple trolls, but as far as they go, we don't feed them and they shut up ;P Does this mean you've found a guild on Sanctum? If not, contact me on Kestral (I'll assume you're Republic, since I noted the Padawan/Jedi commentary) and if Unsanctioned doesn't fit your play style, I'm sure we can find a guild that will. By the way, all of these events I mentioned were not confined to guilds in any way. They were sponsored by guilds, which basically means the guild will have some presence there (kind of guarantees there will be someone to RP with) and will take the responsibility to advertise, but they *want* people from all around the server to participate. I know when I advertise an RP event, I love seeing new faces. If you see people from the same guild RPing together, don't automatically assume you can't join in. Send a whisper and ask, or walk up and point a /say comment directly at one of the RPers. I've never heard that *any* of the Sanctum RPers have snubbed *anyone* for being unguilded. Ever. In fact, I'm pretty sure Scorpienne is running a thread on the A-Z forum in the other RP section, asking unguilded RPers on Sanctum if they have any suggestions for improving RP for unguilded players. If you have any complaints or suggestions, please post them over there. No one's ignoring you, I promise. But if we don't hear about a problem, we can't address it (at least I can't, since my psychic powers are pretty limited ).

My guild on Sanctum just held an RP event on Tython on Monday, hoping to give the starter zones a look at RP. Sanctum also had an open, cross-faction RP last night on Nar Shaddaa and there's a Republic RP coming up on Thursday at the Dealer's Den on Coruscant. There's going to be a Galactic Swoop Racing League starting up on Saturday (on Tatooine, I believe). That's just some of what I know happened this week. As far as coming up farther out, there's a scheduled, open RP on March 3rd (not sure of location yet) and Hand of the Republic (I believe) and ORCA both have some RP coming up, but again, I don't have locations or dates. If you join the IC and OOC channels, you'll meet the RP community and it'll go a long way to get you involved. /cjoin Republicnet and Republicooc or Imperialnet and Imperialooc. Spontaneous RP happens, but if you're on the Republic Fleet, you won't see what might be going on on Alderaan. Also, try out the Facebook page for Sanctum of the Exalted (if you're into Facebook) or sanctumoftheexalted.tk. Our people tend to post more to these two sites than on the official forums or swtor-rp.com.

Sanctum's not dead for RP. We're always doing something. Right now, D'el of Absolution is running a server-wide RP plot called "Spies Among Us." Both guilds and individuals are getting involved in this and he's posting info and summaries about the RP on the server's Facebook page and swtor-rp.com. If you're interested in getting involved in it, send him a reply on either location, or ICly contact any of the names you see listed in the summaries. We're always eager to have more interaction. Additionally, there's a Galactic Swoop Racing League starting up this week. We just had a big cross faction RP yesterday in Nar Shaddaa. I believe there's another formal event coming up March 3rd. We hold open RP on Tuesdays on Imp side and Thursdays on Rep side. There's channel RP on both factions. Spontaneous RP gets advertised in the OOC channels all the time. And some of us are promoting RP by holding guild events in starter zones. I had a guild RP on Monday and the cross-faction event on Tuesday, with a cross-guild RP coming up tonight, the open RP on Thursday and I might try to attend the Swoop Racing on Saturday. I also turned down two invitations for cross faction this weekend so I could level. Not dead, I guarantee you.

Sanctum's been running an incredible server-wide RP the past couple weeks and it's really heating up. My guild just tossed a curve into the storyline so we could get our Imp alts into things =D I just scheduled a cross faction RP as a Valentine Celebration. It's another excuse for RP, of course, and I figure anyone who's RPing relationships (or lack thereof) would be interested.

My Chiss is running around with a stolen identity. Her name in game is Kressley, but she took it from ID she stole from someone she killed. She never tells anyone her real name. (This is how I got around the legacy name thing, btw)
