When I started using more than just Thrash/Maul is when I became a much better Assassin. By the time I reached Zash, I one shot her without my HP falling below 50%. It was just a matter of interrupting her casts (especially heals), using my ranged dps, setting up for burst damage and using line of sight. I'm really enjoying the degree of intricacy the battle concepts offer. The only change I would offer is to bring back auto-attack instead of having to press a button to do it. My action bars are already crowded enough.

We (lvl 23-25) kicked a tank from our (Heroic 4) group because he kept braking CC. He was probably a fine tank, but he kept trying to tank 3-4 guys at a time and expected our group which had two Sith Inquisitors healing, to keep him alive. Sounds like you just need to increase your knowledge of which classes can CC and what type of CC it is. Here's a head start. Sith Assassins can only CC mobs that are out of combat. 60sec duration.
