  1. I am constantly amazed by people like you who like to compare SWTOR to WoW at launch. Forget for a second that they are games and think of them as products, which they are. When a company enters a market in which there are many competitors they have to differentiate themselves. No company is going to say "look at our cool new product that competes with the biggest one; its just like it was at the beginning 7 years ago!". Companies look at what the public buys and likes and includes those features in their products to be competitive and gain market share (however small). Look at the game for its merits in today's market against it's current competition. That's what it's measured against because they had years in which to gather data on what players liked and disliked in their competitors products. You simply cannot say "its ok it's this way because way back in time the others were the same way". That line of thinking and acceptance would doom us to never having any sort of innovation or invention in most markets.
  2. The events are dynamic and continuous. Think WAR and the public type quests, only they don't "reset" so often, the event morphs to another.
  3. Do you actually believe everything in their game engine is hard coded?
  4. Sorry but I don't owe you nor anyone else any credentials here. I gave you a logical explanation to your statement that it would be hard to fix such an item. I'm sorry you didn't like the response. I could just as easily ask for your credentials to take the other side of the argument but that wouldn't get either of us anything. You think it's hard, I know it's not. Differences of opinion is all.
  5. Time frame wasn't the discussion, level of effort was. If it had been a discussion of prioritization then yes, the response would have been different. Assessing the level of effort, what sort of FTE requirement it would be, to physically fix it is what I was addressing.
  6. I am a developer. They're called variables. Not to hard to correct (if indeed it is a mistake).
  7. I didn't read all the responses here but I have to say that using Newton's First Law or any other law in a argument about the way something works in a game with LIGHTSABERS is really quite silly.
  8. I'm wearing some Lacqerous things (top and legs) at 27 and they are a skin tight brown leather jumpsuit looking affair.
  9. Sounds like someone got passed over for raid spots and decided to blame it on Biochem. In reality the people that passed you over probably had other reasons and were trying not to hurt your feelings and used Biochem as an excuse.
  10. That would be like going to the mud wrestling event to see if you want to move your family to a city.
  11. I've been having fun as has my family. Yeah there's quirks and such but it's that way in any game so we just roll with it and continue having fun. For the person that posted about the legality of falsifying press releases, well, there's a fine line between false statements and exaggerations. Most companies get away with a lot. For example, the comment about the great customer service is somewhat a stretch. That said the ONLY place I'd like to see improved is in BW's customer service. I will be very happy when they add more hands and finally get it functioning efficiently. I think that's really their only Achilles' heel. The few times I've had to try and work with them, it has been lower than what I'm used to getting and most other organizations. Bump that department up and things would be great. Great job overall.
  12. Why? Look at any poll on any major news outlet or most sources. they all have a margin of error which means they are not 100% accurate. I didn't see you post any numbers or add anything constructive. Nice try troll.
  13. Yay! You win the originality post award. I have definitely never heard this before.
  14. Wrong. I too checked with Photoshop as the other person and they are identical. The only difference is the lighting. One scene is much brighter than the other (gamma, etc.) which probably makes them appear a bit different but the color is the same.
  15. Your consensus means spit. Just your opinion. Everyone has their own. Do what you will and others will do what they want. Paying to play and helping to kill the boss gives people the right to decide what to do. You arguing the moral values of a piece of virtual loot in a video game is laughable. Roll need and let the RNG sort it out.
