  1. I actually really liked the tricolor crystals, specifically the blue white and purple ones, they look really cool on certain gear, BUT the colors are so similar it is a very subtle appearance (Plus there is only what, 4 total currently? and its basically 2 just different orders of the colors..). How bout some that are a little less subtle? For an example, a neon green -> red - > dark purple. That would look pretty sick imo. Tri colors obviously opens the door for some looks that are unique, as the 2 color system feels like we are getting more and more that are close to identical. Perhaps a few more crystals too that have unique effects / appearances tied to the crystals themselves, like how there were the Striated crystals awhile back. I saw someone mention wanting actual black crystals, how bout a "dark saber crystal" that gives that distinct color / appearance of the dark saber? Black w/ white outline, with white energy waves in it. The sharp tip look would be a nice touch, but that may be better suited for a hilt rather than a crystal. Firing energy bolts that looked like dark saber bolts would also be really cool! As an aside not related to crystals, i still want to re-request the ability to dye the 'shirt' portion of the dynamic vandal set (and honestly some of the other older sets that have large areas of plain off white that wont dye for some reason) Feels like this should be a fairly simple change, and I would personally be forever grateful if I could use that really awesome duster without having a dirty white shirt underneath it. Just tie it to the secondary dye color and id love you forever. JuJoo Guppy
  2. Yeah, thats why I said the first idea is less likely to happen than the second, but i still think the second overall would be a bit of an improvement.
  3. So, I am sure people have pointed out in the past, but the dye system is a bit clunky. I do like being able to dye my appearance of course, but i feel like there are better ways to do this overall. The IDEAL way would be a much more in-depth ability to pick areas on an armor and dye just those sections a color we want. An example would be to be able to go into an armor and dye its pauldron a red, and then dye the rest black, as an example. Pick and choose which pieces are which color, and none of this primary / secondary nonsense. This would allow the most freedom, and would be amazing (I believe Elder Scrolls Online has something like this IIRC.) I realize that is a MASSIVE rework, and probably unlikely to happen, so, on a smaller scale but still a positive step, I would suggest the following as an improvement, if option A) is off the table. This second rework would be as follows: Make dyes a single color only, and instead of a single dye slot on armors, give them a Primary Dye slot and a Secondary Dye slot. This way, instead of being stuck with whatever color combinations you as devs choose for us, we can mix and match two colors together as we please. Itd be nearly the same system as now, just a little extra freedom that would be a reasonable improvement in my opinion. Of course the cost of dyes would need to reflect the fact we would now use 2 per armor. You *COULD* also make dyes re-usable, more along the lines of color crystals or tunings, which would be massively nice. Just bind a color once used to that character, but allow you to pull and reuse as you please. It seems to me having 2 dye slots like this would be the easiest change as most of the system would still be the same. On a slightly off topic note, I would also suggest considering adding an armor "tuning" slot aka armor effect slot and having some generic armor effects that you can use, either on a per piece basis (less likely) or a slot similiar to an actual armor slot that applies the effect to your active set (more likely). Things like pulsing with electricity, or burning with fire, seething with dark / light energy, rakghoul effects, etc etc would be simple and another level of customization. Players love customization. the more, the merrier.
  4. I feel ya I really do. I must have spent at least 30-40 hrs grinding tokens mindlessly to get enough to try and win the shades, the only thing i was really wanting. I have so many wraiths they are just 25k credit chips, and i got a lot of phrojo, but no shades. I got 2 of the pets, and my last batch of chips i did get ONE predator mount, after well over 1000 chips between what i ground out and the free rolls. that kind of time invested to not even get the thing i was after, and minimal of the new stuff, is just... wow. and it wasnt like i was having fun during that time, either. grinding chips was the most mind numbing and frustrating thing in the world. I did it because i thought i had a actual chance at getting the item. I did not.
  5. This one is pretty straight forward, I absolutely positively love the Duster from the Dynamic Vandal set, however, dye's do not effect the entire chest area which is a plain dirty white (okay, gray, ish..) shirt that is frankly kinda ugly and doesnt mesh well with most things. This set would gain a huge boost if the secondary color on dyes effected this huge area instead of leaving it untouched! I cant imagine this would be an extremely difficult change to add, but itd make this set 10000x better in my opinion. I really want to use it but the dang shirt clashes badly. Edit: A close second for also needing this change is the Voltaic Sleuth set, the shirt underneath doesnt change and it really ruins what is otherwise a pretty cool set. These two simple changes would make me immensely happy and bring life to old sets. Pretty please? Thanks, Kulbertinov / JuJoo Guppy
  6. While I am greatly dissapointed I couldnt get a single pair of the shades after 1000+ emp chips... I did think to myself, You really should do a mashup of the Shrewd Rascal's hat, and the High Roller shades. make some modifications of course, maybe remove the credit symbol but the overall lense effect with that hat? That would look sic***kk. Id gladly use my cartel coins on that, lol. Not to mention, id actually be able to get the item, so, that'd be nice.
  7. At least ya got em. over 1000 and never got em. lots of people i know got them after 200 or so. Typical of my life it seems
  8. You got almost as many prizes as me, in 1/14th as many chips. That is some serious RNG bs. They really need a system that slowly increases your chances at winning if you get shafted as hard as I have been. I'd be less bitter if I had won ANYTHING (aside from more kingpin prizes, why are they even an option..)
  9. This is absolute insanity. Ive spent well over 700+ emperor tokens now, and gotten 6 total jackpots. 6. Of those 6, FOUR were things I had already won on the kingpin machine. Why they are even on the Emperor machine ill never know. I was really looking forward to the new items from this event, but it seems no matter how many hours i grind away at this I cannot get them. Its absurd to see people walk up and use 5 tokens and walk away with a jackpot and the glasses. Its also frustrating beyond belief to finally get a jackpot only to get an item you get from the other machines. If you want to keep these insanely bad drop rates, then there should be a slight buff each time you spin an emperor machine without a jackpot, that helps you get one. Resets each time you get one. Cause this is just so damn frustrating. I started playing again to try to pick up some of these new items before preparing to get into the ops scene again, and yet i have just spent at least 80 hrs mindlessly killing mobs trying to get chips for absolutely nothing. Oh, and when I had a jackpot trigger but not actually award anything, I contacted CSR... only to be told to "post my suggestions on the forums". My suggestions? I was trying to get at least ONE of the rewards for my glitched jackpot, as a long time subscriber to this game. The CSR department used to actually be pretty awesome about such things. Yes, I am a bit frustrated and bitter atm. Yes, i understand its a cosmetic item that isnt necessary (and realistically is somewhat tacky, but i do love them.), but making an item be behind an absolutely insane RNG that seems to be buggy at best, and ALSO making the tokens a rare enough drop you can only gain about 10 per hour at best, is just mind blowing. Its really disappointing and frustrating. The event should be FUN.
  10. Hello. Firstly, I love Star Wars. I love the Old Republic era, and I have fond memories of this game, although I believe it has done many questionable things in the last several years, it still holds a special place for me. I want to see the game grow and succeed and be heavily invested into. So, on to this event. Nightlife. Events are supposed to be FUN. This one, is not. It once was reasonably entertaining, back when you bought your tokens, and just played slots, nothing too exciting but at least it was just playing slot machines. This new grind to get Emperors Grace chips, however, is not even remotely fun. It is beyond frustrating, tedious and just... boring. I spend countless hours farming a handful of chips knowing full well it could take hundreds to ever win the prizes I would like to win, and of course, I dont win em. Ive used over 100+ chips with only one prize. In itself, that is frustrating but hey thats slot machines... BUT it has taken me countless hours to get those 100 chips because of the absolute absurdity of the drop rates. I can run FP's at 15-20 mins each and sometimes get 3, usually get 1 or 2 tokens... and even get zero at times. Thats 0 to 9 tokens an hour. I usually average 4 this way. When the prizes take 100-400. That is INSANE and just... boring. Boring gameplay. My suggestion: remove the tedious grind for chips, esp if the prizes are going to be insanely rare. Or increase the prize rates significantly, either or. My other suggestion, to add variety and make the event more interesting: ADD MORE PLAYABLE GAMES. Sabaac (Make it up, some kind of card game obviously, or make it like blackjack, anything. Just add it! THat'd be fun!), maybe some kind of group gambling game where the winner takes all the bet money, etc etc. That would add some spice to it. Please remember, the game and especially events are meant to be fun, not a chore and certainly not boring as hell / frustratingly tedious. Thanks
  11. Yes, PLEASE adjust the drop rates on either the tokens or the rewards or something my god. Ive spent hours grinding for emperor tokens, only to get 15 total. Ive spent at least 5 hrs (Prolly closer to 6-7). 3 tokens per hour is brutal. And given the insanely bad drop rate on the prizes I am after, and given I have a life besides playing virtual slots for virtual prizes and I can only stand clicking the machines so many hours straight, I am very likely to never get these prizes. Its neat to make them a little rare, but to make the event just frustrating and depressing is kinda counter intuitive. There should be a better balance between the rarity (so you feel a good feeling when you do win the items) and the fun factor, cause it aint fun clicking endlessly and getting nothing.
  12. Can we get an official response: If I click play and play my character as normal, am I at risk of being banned / losing stuff? I just want to play the game, I didnt mean to update the dang thing. I mean, its neat to see the new pack opening stuff, but I didnt do this intentionally... Am I safe to play, or what?
  13. You just got exceptionally lucky, see my hypercrate. I got a couple of ok items at least, but over half of it was old items. Such bulls***. I notice BW doesn't bother responding to the outrage either.
  14. I see there are already threads on this, but it bears repeating, so that maybe, just maybe, BW will get the message. I used all the cartel coins I had saved up to buy a new hypercrate today, excited for the new items. Except.. I literally got more of the OLD items than the new items. Many packs I opened I got 2 grand chance cubes! I didn't save up CC to end up getting a bunch of items from older packs (Generally bad ones, at that. I got a tree from the life day event, that you got for free by throwing snowballs.. what the heck?) This new system is a complete and utter rip off. I JUST re-subbed up, hoping to find the game was in a better state than when I left. So far, its off to a pretty bad start, with BW actively ripping off its loyal fanbase. Not sure why I can't post a direct screenshot, but here is a link to show the returns on my hypercrate. Note that the top is OLD items, bottom new. Its right at 50/50. (This is leaving out junk / gifts mind you.) http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j11/TDGaming-JuJooGuppy/Screenshot_2016-05-03_19_41_40_745485_zpssna7wydb.jpg I really, really think these need to be re-worked. I think you should get 2 items from the new content, plain and simple. Its otherwise a huge ripoff. The chance cube should have a CHANCE of appearing, say, in place of the jawa junk or companion gift. I literally got at least 1 chance cube in all but 3-4 packs, with many more giving me 2 chance cubes. That is bull crap. I was excited to get new items and possibly get back into the game, but instead I got old crap I already have.
  15. The 4 piece bonus is the only one needing adjustment. At the very moment, I dont have a reasonable, balanced idea for the 4 piece, so I wont make a suggestion 'till I have some time to consider. After 3.3 hits, the 4 piece is the only set bonus needing adjusted (3.3 fixes the useless 6 piece bonus). Thanks! I greatly appreciate these threads looking for feedback.
  16. Eh, I've had them reply to a request in the past, its not impossible.
  17. I am hoping that people seeing and posting in this thread will continue to post in a manner such as yourself; that is, level headed and polite rather than raging. I admit a great deal of frustration over the patch as I loved my new appearance and spent CC to unlock armors for all toons that are now essentially useless to me. But, being polite and constructive is far more likely to garner a response and hopefully an favorable course of action. Bioware, would you be so kind as to comment your thoughts on this idea / the recent change, and whether we may see something like this going forward? We would all greatly appreciate it!
  18. I concur; this would be a great solution if you do not wish to reinstate the bleed through that was in place (Though, that was a lot easier method most likely.) I was very sad to see you removed the bleed through, intended or otherwise. This made the CM packs sell that much better since people wanted the effect for other outfits (Hell,I used CC to do a legacy unlock on the 2 effect armors.. a decision I now wish I hadn't, since I find the armors themselves to be ugly and just wanted the effects.) I really wish the upcoming Tactical Infantry set still had the bleed through.. the helmet slot effect would look awesome on my sniper, but alas I am not going to use a republic trooper looking armor that wouldn't look good on my sniper itself. I plead you, please consider re-instating the bleed through, or, failing that, to go with the suggestion of a new "effect slot" as mentioned. Hell, you could sell effects on the CM like dyes for extra revenues I suppose, as long as you didn't go over board. Hope we hear something back on this, and thanks. 19. Thank you for the reply, and for the knowledge that this is something you are still further reviewing! Thank you for your time, look forward to exploring the Yavin stronghold soon.
  20. Well, after watching the stream, that little bit of deco they did at the end there, where they sparsely decorated the very first building... it ran up to about 15%. Thats... not good. They didnt even touch a good 85% or more of the stronghold area. So it is looking to be worse than Tatooine in this regard, which is my fear, as well. I do not see an issue with boosting the number, as I have crammed tons of decorations that are harder on performance (Life day trees!) into a small area and noticed very little drop; spreading out a bunch of deco's shouldnt be a big issue performance wise. They could at least try it. Glad I am not alone in this, though
  21. Hello!, Enjoyed seeing your very beautiful Yavin stronghold today in stream, BUT, I was very sad to hear we would be once again very limited on usable hooks. This especially concerns me when it comes to this massive, sprawling stronghold that has hooks everywhere. We are only going to be able to fully decorate a very small portion of said stronghold (Or, very sparsely decorate the entire thing). I love what you have done with it, but please, please consider / look into boosting the number of usable hooks for the Yavin SH (and possibly Tatooine?). I want to be able to fully utilize the whole area, not just a couple rooms Thanks, Ser JuJoo Guppy, Alacio Island - Naboo, Bria
  22. YAY! I am not the only one that calls those damned things Space Roombas! lol
  23. Communication with the community about the game they are playing that you hope they will keep playing for years to come? Blasphemy! Seriously, though. People on here find the time to read and respond to post all the time. How hard would it be to have someone go through threads even once a week and reply and interact with the player base..? Maybe ASK if the community likes an idea, or likes proposed changes, etc etc... this saves players a headache, and the dev's, since itll be far easier to keep the fanbase happy... EDIT: Someone above was mentioning that Doonium had dropped to 7k a unit, which is true... but the slot machine wasnt the initial cause of that, it happend because grade 11's were added to the junk vvendors. THe slot machine made it worse, of course, but only cause it cost 1 junk for 1 doonium... which is really bad. I had almost 300 junk stashed away PRIOR to the slot machine... adding the 11's to the vendors was what started the market crash, the slot machines just further fueled it.
  24. Hi! First, I appreciate help / feedback. My char is level 53 Madness spec Sorcerer, and I am now trying to learn how to play/stat/setup a more optimized PvE build. While reviewing http://www.noxxic.com/swtor/pve/sith-inquisitor/sorcerer/madness/stat-priority (Side note: Is this site still current / relevant? Is there better sites for this kind of stuff?) , I had noted a few things that I wasn't sure about, so I figured id ask for input. Question 1: Under attack priority for single targets, the site list the following: 1.Crushing Darkness with full Wrath 2.Affliction 3.Creeping Terror 4.Death Field 5.Force Lightning to build Wrath 6.Shock Assuming this is still accurate, why then wouldn't you use Death Field (With Death Mark) FIRST? Currently, I use it first for the death mark, boosting the coming DoT effects... I don't see why you wouldn't want to get that boost before actually applying the DoT's. Is there any reason for this? Or is the site wrong? Question 2: Stat priority is listed as the following: Willpower >= Accuracy (110%) > Power > Surge (70%) > Crit (25%) > Alacrity My question is simple: Is this still relevant, or has a patch changed this? And, why wouldn't you focus on Crit ahead of surge (Or, at the same time, so to speak, boosting each relative to each other, after the other stats) ? Other than that, any advice for PvE specs? I think that does it for my questions at the moment. I really appreciate any and all feedback!
