  2. Wow! Nice Obj score Simon!
  3. Hah! I'm jealous of Kraith and Axomm! They got me beat by a few hundred thousand in both categories.
  4. Yeah I would love to as well, it's just that I'm usually limited by the amount of time I have to play so pretty much PUG 95% of the time..

  6. "Explore a vibrant alien landscape as the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire fight for control over a powerful secret." It would be awesome if the above blurb means there may be an area controlled or affected by world RvR (Realm vs Realm). Like DAOC's Darkness Falls, etc. Something to fight for and something that would put both realms into contention and give meaning to PvP. I miss good open world RvR.

  8. Both Axomm & Sindol that were listed in the "Overall Protection" should also go under the "Protection in a Single Life" as they show 0 deaths in the snaps. My hat off to you Axomm (and your healers of course!).. that is going to be extremely tough to beat!

    PvP Blunders!

In a game of Huttball on my Juggernaut I was approaching the goal line (guaranteed goal at this point) and was watching an enemy player standing at the jump down above the goal line.. if he jumped I would be ready to leap to him. Well he didn't jump and for some reason I over anticipated him jumping down and leaped to him thus being insta killed and the ball resetting.
  12. Here are my stats with hyper-battle fortitude buff: Armor Rating 7970 Dam Red 52.46 Def Chance 26.32 Shield 44 Absorb 43.27 Health 24351 Expertise 1291 Damage Boost 23.95 Damage Reduction 19.32 Healing Boost 13.26 I also use the War Hero Relic of Shield Amplification that procs 405 absorb for 6 seconds. I use a hybrid spec and don't have any points that boost my shield ability from skills.
  13. I pulled this 474K protection in a PUG yesterday on Voidstar: https://live.staticflickr.com/8038/7963530946_3e10baedcb_b.jpg Enemy had some good DPS but no healers. We had 4 healers and over half our team never died. We held them at the first door. At many points they tried to focus me down and the healer I was guarding and while they came close it didn't happen. Anyways, +1 for true tank gear in this instance as I couldn't have stayed alive or kept my healer alive had I been DPS geared.
  14. Well said and I do agree. I've completed my fully re-modded tank WH outfit at this point and have already started on a DPS WH re-modded outfit. So in the near future I'll be experimenting with a hybrid tank/DPS outfit/build or maybe even going back to full DPS for awhile once my DPS WH outfit is ready. When I first hit 50 PVP I was full DPS Rage, then later moved to Veng and around when 1.2 hit went full hybrid tank. I really enjoyed the Veng spec, think that was my favorite.
  15. I only do the daily one that gives 20 fleet & 2 daily and only for that reason (certainly not for fun). They got old fast doing the same thing over and over on rails.
  16. First off I never cheat, much less at games and used to gripe at my son for using cheat codes on his games. I've actually been accused of cheating in Huttball a few times because of unstoppable to. I loathe cheaters. That is my best score for protection ever (that was PUG to).. I have gotten over 300K many times, just a few 400k but never anything at almost 500K except for this instance. It came from a long standoff at the middle node in Civil War. They also attempted to focus me down at many points but we had so many healers that it was near impossible for them to kill me or the healers. (the primary healer I was guarding never died during that match BTW) My current setup is focused primarily has a healer guard and huttball carrier. Tips.. well first I could only really help with Jugg/Guardians as that has been my main from day one of release. However, I would start by using this spreadsheet from SWTOR Mechanics: http://mmo-mechanics.com/swtor/forums/thread-615.html Be sure to read the directions in the first forum post. That will help you balance your defenses for your class and get the most bang for your buck. (this spreadsheet has helped to balance and maximize my defenses) Don't fall into the trap of sacrificing too much expertise. If you want to be a solid PvP guarding tank it's important to be tough and healable in PvP. After re-modding my WH gear + blue 48 fort buff I'm able to easily hit 24K health and still have 1291 Expertise + a good balance of defense stats. I could actually get more damage in but I focus on protecting my healer(s), controlling objectives and containing opposing healers as much as possible. However I’m really not spec’d to do damage nor do I have any real DPS gear on in this build. I have used mixed Tank/DPS gear in the past and can say that I’m definitely tougher with the tank gear. Sure I could survive with a lot of DPS gear but only with good healers working harder than if I had been more tank geared. Defending a node with me guarding a great healer makes it near untakable with many folks focusing on us. Problem is finding the good healers and being in the right spot when you PUG a lot like myself. One thing I will point out for my particular build.. I’m not so great when we have no healers on our team. I can hold out an objective better then most but I don’t really shine unless I have a good healer to guard.
  17. As a hybrid Jugg Tank I usually make the top 3 for our team probably 90% of the time. (Huttball is where I usually dip because I'm focused on being a ball carrier) Of course that might be harder for other tanks classes, I couldn't say as I haven't put the time in on those for high level PvP to properly judge. I definitely feel absorb for a Jugg who wants to be a real guard tank is needed however. Sure it isn't perfect but it makes a difference IMO. I concentrated on striking a balance with expertise(1291), endurance, defense, shield and absorb (also use the proc WH absorb relic). And since we are posting snaps.. https://live.staticflickr.com/7126/7872146732_47ecaa5988_b.jpg
  18. I know the Fusion Core version can be bought on the Republic side at the Coruscant specialty vendor (14 comms I think). As far as Imperial side, I just bought mine off the AH. They show up pretty regularly.. both a light and dark side version.
  19. I was one of the first Teras Kasi Master's on Starsider.. a Trandoshan named Ulliam. One of my favorite things to do when I wasn't killing Imps was decorate and re-decorate my house.. heh. My favorite was doing the custom aquariums.. wish I would have kept some of those snapshots. I played for probably the first 6 months after release.
  20. Open world, IMO, will always be better then a closed match of any kind. DAOC, SWG, WAR, etc. all where great early on and moreso because of the open world PvP, especially DAOC as it had meaning and brought realm pride. For me, one of the worst things SWTOR has done is made us fight ourselves. Yeah sure more WZ pops but I loathe it. I want to have Realm pride and a reason to fight for "my side". Warzones will never do this IMO. It focuses on a small group instead of a realm as a whole.

    Nerf Rage/Focus burst

I'm R55, Rage spec'd and mostly Champion geared (about 540 expertise) including my Mainhand and I have only ever hit one person for just over 6K (like 6123 or something) that I can recall since the buff stacking fix (and I think they where poorly geared). It has also become very rare for me to hit for over 5K (and that is with me using my Power relic + full stack for Rage smash). I think this may also be in larger part to the fact that I'm fighting mostly Champion + Pubs who are equally geared. I am also Synthweaving so I don't use the buffs that where being used in that video. I think the ones getting hit so hard are probably poorly geared. EDIT: I would also like to note that most folks I leap/choke to instantly knock me back after because they know the smash is coming next. There are ways to counter if you know what to look for. Yes, I do now wait to see if I'm going to get knocked around but during the heat of battle it's not always that easy and if you wait too long you miss your window of opportunity.
  22. I'm going on my observations not others. I also read that link you mentioned among others. I will state that I have noticed it failing more often lately but attributed this to interruptions as more folks are learning better how to PvP. It's also possible something has changed recently with the patches but despite this I still finish the channel most of the time (90%'ish maybe). I wouldn't rule out that there is a distance limit but my main point which I have no doubt is that the target does not have to be stationary to complete the channel. I wish we had a Combat Log so we could go back and review fights and get a solid understanding of our abilities.
  23. I disagree, this has not been my experience at all. From what you said it doesn't even sound like you use it. As I have said, I use it all the time and complete it all the time on non-stationary targets.
