  4. Big Congrats guys, major achievement and well deserved given the hours you guys sunk into it. I'd also like to encourge the GMs of all guilds to have a crack at the DGs next week as they are well worth getting down. I'd also like the GMs to do what they can to ask everyone in their guilds to stop escalating the arguments that have dominated this thread for the last week. It makes no one look good and only risks diminishing the reputation of guilds involved. The Op of the thread stated on page 31 that only sequential kills will be accepted but that anyone is welcome to skip for gear and try again next week. It would be nice to be able to move on and celebrate the success guilds have on this in the next few weeks and the world first title run, lol,lol, rolf, cry.

  6. Know how you feel Av, but if we hadn't have been there to wipe with them 50-100 times this would not have been possible as experience is the key to this fight.   8. I think most of the Red Eclipse guilds are of the view that skiping does not count for points or firsts. If this thread honours non-sequential kills we will post progression else where. Other Red Eclipse guilds are welcome to contend this point.
  9. This thread is meaningless if it is not an instance clear. By all means skip ahead and get gear but that means you should wait for next week to have another crack at a first worth having. Skiping is saying I quit for this week and our guild will only participate in our server thread if this is the way the rest of the community think things should work.
  10. One for the wall of crazy. A server based system that logs how well teams clear all operation based content and then has a leaderboard made accesible to the whole server to track the top 10 teams for any given opperation. Metrics you might measure include fasest clear, cleanest (least numbe of defeated players) etc.. This might allow PvE guilds to be compeditive during the whole life cycle of the operations and encourge them to tackle old content again, i.e hit EV SM with full 75s to try and beat the current fasests time on the server. Currently new content is really the only community based competition we have, it would be nice to have a more structured tool to compete against others in a PvE environment.

First and foremost, To Eric and his team, you have one of the tougher jobs in the world of community communication and I take my cap off to you and your team for taking hold of the bad news and just marching out there knowing you won't make it back unscathed. I hope the rest of the Dev team are grateful for the bullets you're taking for them. You guys are doing a great job and it has been a consistent improvement over the last 6 or so months. I do understand why people are dissapointed though, this material has had a lot of testing and the one patch you want to release right is NiM content as it is one of the few occasions where PvE guilds can acctually compete. As such people do move heaven and earth to be available to compete. My preference now would be to hold the content till next week's reset rather than rush it through mid week as with overlapping lockouts between HM/NiM if it is released later this week the QQ will hit the moon "I can't access NiM due to HM lockout thanks BW". Further, I would love to see a system put on the wall of crazy that tracks fastest or cleanest clears of opperations, publically allowing all on the server to see which teams can do the content fastest, with fewest players down etc.. This would then allow guilds to challenge each other on PvE content more consistantly throughout the life cycle of content rather then only when new content arrives.
  12. Using a crit adrenal will eventually lead you to have a better parse compared to using a power, but on average you will be worse off. So if your goal is to get the best dummy run ever for torparse then use a crit adrenal over and over and over again until the dice fall your way and you get the perfect parse. If you want consistent performance that on average is better and helps your guild clear content go power or take a tiny bit of crit but not adrenals. With the current gear, for watchman anyway, you take crit and you sacrifice average dps for a spiker DPS, imho it is not an optimal setup.

  14. Great point, look at the cartel crystal market, 500k+ for a hawkeye crystal, 2mil+ for a white, market is totally dead due to the collection system......hold on.
  15. Most of the fights have more than one mechanic added. Based on PTS I think that TFB may dissapoint a couple fo the guilds walking round in BiS 72 but for the majority of players I think this will be a nice step up in difficulty which will keep them occupied for a while. In the future what I would love to see are more bosses like dreadtooth that sit outisde of the gear progression and as such can be ramped up to boardline impossible for the top guilds to race to kill over months. This model makes sense to me as it still means above average players can keep stepping up the gear progression but the real elite guilds have a challenge worth targeting. This may very well be what the next bonus boss represents.
  16. I'm advocating the addition of dyes to the collection system. I think this will increase demand for dyes and cartle gear in the long run as people unlock rare colours on all their characters and are more likely to collect all the dyes and to try new gear with the dyes in their collection.
  17. You're probably finding DR and BA better because a lot of people on this forum post a lot but research and test very little. Keep going with the combo that works for you.
  18. I think adding dyes to the collection will support future dye kits sales much better than the current system. As new dye kits come out I think many people will be reluctant to change their current dyes because they will be lost and the market for CM dyes, especially the rare ones, is expensive and with very low supplies on most servers. In contrast if dyes were in the collection systems I think people will be more likely to buy new dyes to add to it, knowing they can experiment on and change their look but still be able to go back to the previous look if the new one doesn't work anymore. As there is speculation that the dyes are crystals coded for armour this may actually be possible.
  19. I think this system could still work if they added dyes to the collection system. Just like saber crystals, you bind to one character and you can clone bound copies of the same colour or pay CC to unlock on other toons in your account. This would drive demand for the dyes as people will want to collect more than just one colour per character and you'll see greater variation on fleet as people change and experiment with their look. This will be even more important as it looks like they will be adding more colour combinations in the future by bringing out a new dye kit series, like the cartle packs.
  20. I thought you only needed to max affection with light side or dark side Jeasa and yet on my achievement screen it says I still need both to max the achievments.

With then all the same abilities to clone and/or pay cartle coins based on rarity to open them up for all chars. This would make the dyes easier to use for people, maintain demand from GTN and Cartle market (probably increase it for some die hard collectors) and make people more comfortable changing their look if they find a rare colour that they love.
