The IP's are not cursed, they just have lousy developers coupled with even worse distributors doing all the "VISIONS" of the games in question. The first failure is not knowing what the masses want, and then creating an MMO around them, the future subscribers. Insted devs think their own circle of friends have all the answers and they do not, hell, most of these devs havent been out of state let alone have any experience in travel or wisdom, basic things needed for creativity. So we have what we have, a huge failed IP in the form of SWTOR grasping at all the people that unsubbed and hoping they can get some back, they wont of course. Hell, i tried 1.2 and it is garbage, i will remain unsubbed. It is a grind, and a grindfest for alts simply put. This game disappointed me so badly i went back to FF XIV until my GW2 download and betas start, FF XIV, heh, takes alot to drive a person back to that failure, curiously though FF XIV is better than SWTOR right now.

The Eula is a wishlist of what a company wants to do in ANY circumstance regarding their product, if a judge finds anything in s specific case not using common sense or the company was willfully doing something wrong, or is being unreasonable, or just has plain sorry customer service causing problems, these facts will be taken into consideration before the EULA is looked at and the companies grievance addressed. I love this quote.... "In all instances the presiding judge will determine the validity of a EULA and not the creating entity, both parties will be judged on the merit of facts". Google that. In other words, if you have a legitimate gripe and it can be proven due to whatever circumstances, then you have a good chance to have things go your way. The EULA IS NOT a legally binding contract, it is a statement by the company that merely says we own this and we will try to own everything you create, again the judge makes the final descision on that on a case by case basis, and unless you really mess up and infringe on something you have little to worry about. This goes for ideas you people submit on the forums, your names, etc, those are yours, your ideas, regardless of some slip of digital paper stating if you put it on the forum (unsolicited ideas) Bioware owns them, this again, is not the case, the comapany is merely trying to scare you, and if it can be proven a company used your idea, typed by you or a game name you create you can fight it. They will *****, they will try, but in the end, the judge makes the final descision, not lawyers, not the company, and certainly not the EULA. Education, its a good thing. Though out of spite if they lose a case they have every right to boot your from their game, heh, unless a judge stipulates otherwise.

Seriously?! People still do not understand the elevator system in game? Let me spell it out for you folks...again. The elevators in game have specific purposes, you will notice three differing types, those that move slow, those that move fast, and those that are broken and stuck midway. The fast elevators are for hardcore players, those people that feel the need to see what everyone else is doing, speed through the game as fast as possible, and ensure no one gets something faster than they do, raiders use fast elevators primarily. Slow elevators, these are for the casual players, those folks that like to hang out and chill with friends, who arent worried about progression and really do not care what the person next to them is doing. Broken elevators, these are for solo players exclusively, made for people that like challenges and dislike being shoved through content in groups or having their hands held in dungeons, the people take leaps of faith and seek adrenalin rushes by diving over the side of cliffs trying for the broken elevator, usually missing and having to heal, realizing they might have waited for one of the other two working elevators, still, bailing over the side of a cliff is such a rush.....the air time....the air time..... Do not make me explain this mechanic again......

I am so fed up with this sorry excuse for a star wars title i downloaded STO since it is now free, alot has changed, the game is getting closer to what it (STO) SHOULD have been at its launch, nearly two years to get it to that point and it went F2P, a sign. I feel SWTOR will do the same as they are bleeding subs and folks from servers faster that Luke can say, OMG!...your my sister...and we....!? I played Dabo in An STO space station, all the clowning, the actual atmosphere of the place seeming alive was refreshing. Not going to grind anymore on this title as it is simply just a sad excuse for a game IP, and playing Dabo was actually more fun than this, after all, entertainment is what it is. I will check back from time to time and see what these lazy devs and the sorriest customer service on the planet have done. This title needs two years of work at least, GW2, hurry up, Grin.

You stand on your soapbox spouting drivel, talking about two and three different trees/types of sorces. No sorce can get all the utility you just described, nor can they use the skills as fast as you claim, might want to play one before pouting. I get this from your post, as long as you are winning, you are fine with everything, if you get your butt kicked then the folks doing the butt kicking need nerfed, that includes anyone in your eyes....that about cover it?

Social points/levels is another dev inspired piece of garbage mechanic. This mechanic along with the dev needs to be removed. I use folks as needed for grouping and i get used, thats how i like it, i should not have to be forced to group to see all the content or cool little gadgets, or lame little gadgets as i pay the same monthly fee. These devs do have one talent, a keen eye at how to lose subscriptions from a large demographic that is the solo player, occasional grouper, they have no concept of rewards in regardss to a purchased subscription, one reason this game is falling flat on its face. One redeeming quality of this game is that many busybodies are not present simply because of the broken content and forced mechanics.

Do not play the game but my brother does. I am over at his house for BBQ's often and one thing i do hear from him, and i ask, is the customer service good? He states yes, they are contacted by live csr's or a gm, problems are fixed on the spot or within a reasonable amount of time, people cannot rip you off becaus ethe gm's and csr's handle them swiftly, all things this game does not have. SWTOR is losing folks, my one payment will run out next month, unless i see marked improvement in customer service, i wont give them anymore cash. Bugs i understand, beyond lousy customer service i do not, i have flooded the BBB with complaints and will continue to do so until my final payment time expires. As much as i loathe WOW, playing SWTOR tends to make a person at least look over at the big gorilla and ponder a question or two.

I am sure they would like to do alot of things but since the ENGINE they use sucks chunks, they wont be able to implement anything useful for us. welcome to old tech given new life. Oh and by the way, all the ideas you folks are giving them for free, regardless of how good or bad they may be, is nifty and all, but really, you folks need to think of yourselves first, get your ideas protected and then submit, dont give these devs free ideas, so far they have screwed the pooch and i am quite sure they have little fingers taking your ideas from THEIR forums. This thread is ridiculous. The ONLY thing people need to do is watch their own lane. Not worry about what joe blow does down the street, we call you people busybodies, those that cry and stomp on their soapboxes about what the person on the otherside of the fence is doing. Work within the mechanics the devs have made in the game, voice opinion with the devs to get it changed if you want, do not berate or otherwise whine about other people and how or why they choose to get gear one way or the other. This person knows the deal, along with the rest of us Gamers. I will also add, the only label people should be using while playing a game is "enjoyment". Words like proffesional, hardcore, casual, etc are for the kids that feel they need something in their lives to give them purpose. Here is a clue, playing a game does not give you purpose, nor does it give you credentials of any kind.

If you want to get technical, they need to unscrew the exit the ship and place the scenes where they need to be. The developers in charge of these cutscenes were clueless when it come to how and when something happens. Like any 6th grader put in charge of a bucket of marbles and is told to sort by size and color so to di the developers with the cutscenes. The single biggest example among many is this, how about when we exit the ship we are in the spaceport instead of doing a cutscene of the ship flying to the planet? It is no big leap that the people placing these screwed them up as you can look at what needs to be changed, sadly the devs will simply state....this is a feature. So many screwups by the devs in both cutscenes, travel, skill tree, and yet they will not state the people in charge of those tasks mixed them up and we will be fixing them. To proud to admit the rush and poor Q/A.

10 hours a day? Are you kidding me? You have more problems than worrying about pvp gear. Here are some "Pro tips", laugh i love when folks use protip in a game, dont you? Before you post something like this think for a little bit about what other readers will think about you. Did you include your situation? Such as why you can spend 10 hours a day playing this game? Leaving huge omissions like that can lead to all kinds of speculation on folks parts. Are you mentally disabled? Just disabled? if this were the case we could see your point and why you have the frustration you explained in your post. Are you retired? If so do you feel that spending that amount of time playing a game is healthy? With a minimum of 4 hours of sleep, bathroom time, the odd chore, you are left with relatively little time to be with real humans, let alone the day and night cycle. A possible point of your frustration, lack of real people in person, no one to confide in, could be something you need to look into. Sitting down for that long can lead to blood pooling in your legs and eventually a possible blood clot and stroke, even at a young age. Something you may want to consider since you play 10 hours a day and seem to get frustrated opening imaginary bags of whatever repeatadly, though you keep playing to get these bags, so isnt opening them the thing you do this for, the rush of maybe getting something or not? In summary, i feel from reading your post you need to stop playing so many hours, plan other activities and begin a healthier lifestyle. 8-12 of sleep a night, lots of fruits and vegetables, at least 8 glasses of water a day, not soda or juice, and a balanced diet including exercise and outside activity. Did you know that vitamin D is created outside in the sunlight, well, now you do. Good luck OP.

Consider the amount of busybodies in this one thread alone, times that by the number of guilds worrying about how someone else gets gear, any type. Do you busy bodies also run up to people and ask them why they breathe air or shop at the same store you do? Wonder why the vehicles they drive have 4 wheels and tires like yours? Maybe you busybodies need to watch your own lanes and NOT worry about what the next person is doing until you start paying more on your sub. Make sense, probably not to a busybody.

So, emotes were a high priority item regardless of when they were investigated or listed. That sums up alot of things and even clears my mind of just how these devs are thinking, they are deep under water and in trouble with the amount of things that need to be addressed. We have a large number of quests broken, we have poor graphics, we have mechanics in game that need addressed (non bind on pickup rakata cubes one huge issue for example), lore broken at 50, mggs killing people on some rather tedious hard missions, artwork and needed mission items in mid air or halfway up walls because of bad alignment, and a whole raft of more important things than.......emotes, on or off vehicles. This is amazing. To see what hasnt been done and all the patch time this game has to date to address server connect/disconnect issues, crashing, etc, the devs must be overwhelmed because that is the only reason for the utter failure of fixes verse patches to date. The old saying of the thankless never being thanked, those are devs, and the community does realize this, at least i can imagine the late night sweatshop sessions going on, but the priority of these fixes and the customer service issues, its coming to a boil fast.

Are you going to flag this because someone is telling you you obviously did not think before you typed your piece and simply threw out your own playstyle and expect others to read your comments/advice like it was the way things should be? I grow so tired of posts like this, people that are allowed to type things like you did and get away with it, and yet when a person like me corrects you, tells you you are uninformed for thinking everyone is going to heed your sage advice on how to play the game or tell whomever, whatever, i end up getting flagged, well before the flagging, your post had no substance and purely your playstyle, as sad as that sounds.
