  1. To be honest, this game has very very little world PvP compared to most other MMOs I have played.

It seems they intentionally kept the 2 sides far far from one another. I guess that would be good for PvE players, but when many many of your customers CHOOSE a PvP server... that pretty much tells you the WANT world PvP. Unfortunately this is one place they really dropped the ball with this game. The game could have been an exciting leveling experience battling the opposing faction while trying to level, instead if you wanna PvP, you pretty much have to dedicate some real time just to FIND an enemy, who is most likely questing in area no where near your quest area.

  2. Playing my alt who I took slicing on, to give it a try and I am noticing that slicing missions are not profitable, but actually losing me money?

Well why would I take it then? Wasnt the whole point of slicing to make money?

I coulda went for another crew skill and just sold the material and made plenty of money... ***.

  3. How do you suggest they fix this?

Wouldnt it be kinda strange if the enemy took the damage instantly but the rock hasnt hit them yet?

I totally think it is unfair one is instant and the other takes almost 1 second but I am not sure how to fix it either.

  4. I know there is a bug or <call it what you want> in the game that if you pick up a quest that has a huge quest chain, you can abondon it until you finish it. Typically I just go back and finish them, its a pain, but you can run past most grey mobs without incident. Get to the <x> and do what needs to be done. Kind of a pain, but thats the way it is.

Yes I have finished quests before just because I COULDNT abandon them, and I really resented it... but I am here to enjoy myself not feel enslaved to complete quests that will just linger for eternity if I dont complete them.

Not to mention, if you have been playing since closed beta and played almost every class in the game already.... skipping some quests is normal.

  5. I will surely get Trolled but...

To be honest, never. I leveled all the way to 50 as a Combat Medic and got Battlemaster before the Patch to Ilum that caused it to become a Zergfest. It is my opinion that compared to other healers (Sage for sure) Combat Medic does not ever become beast in PvP. Though you will be useful in duos with your friends.

Understand Combat Medic are by it's Tree Talents a single target healer. You do not have any significant AoE healers or target shield. Yes, there is a 3 player AoE and when used correctly the ability to get 10% armor (plus another 10% if you get Supercharged Cell off followed by Kolto Bomb) but this is nothing compared to the Shield, HoT or AoE heals of the other healers.

I have been able to get some nice damage from Alacrity stacking then using Supercharged Cell and then spamming Charged Bolt. However, this isn't burst damage and will not kill any target that is mobile or healed. Much like the Assault Tree's burns it is false WZ chart fluffing. Not to forget, stacking Alacrity is from my point in a overall point of view a terrible idea. Your better off stacking power, crit, and surge then stick to healing.

Conclusion, stick to Gunnery till the Dev decide to get around to balancing Healer classes. Though there is abilities even in that tree that just don't work and are bugged for several months (i.e. Charged Barrel).

Thanks for the reply. Well that sucks to hear, but on my limited experience I will say I agree. I have a 43 Sage Healer and I feel quite a bit stronger in PvP as a sage. As far as survivablity goes, I would think a Commando with heavy armor would have much more survivablity in a warzone compared to a light armor Sage. As a Sage healer the bubble, the hots, stuns, and of course Sprint help tremendously.

As far as numbers go, I get about 2x as many heals on my Sage compared to Commando Warzone healing; being able to drop a shield on people even before a battle begins is very powerful. And of course the AOE heal that heals everyone in the radius compared to the Commando AOE heal that heals 3 people.

I apologize if this seems to have turned in to a QQ thread but I am trying to figure out why I should continue healing with my Commando in PvP when my Sage seems to be are more suitable PvP healer. Before I played the Classes I woulda thought a 'Combat Medic' would atleast have some major survivablity in PvP compared to other healers, I think I might have been wrong?

  6. I just switched to Combat Medic on my lvl 34 Commando. After a couple days of Warzones I am getting a feel for the spec.

I have heard people say Combat Medic is a beast in PvP and I am wondering at what level does Medic become beastly? I dont feel beastly right now, I feel like I am taken down very easily it seems. Yes I can dish out some heals, but once I am focus fired I am usually going down.

Does Medic become beastly in PvP at some level or was I mistaken?

  7. I was wondering if anyone had some Scoundrel specific tips for PvP?

I am a level 20 Scrapper at this point and appreciate any advice, thanks.

EDIT: Ok I am reading the 'pvp tips' thread at the top now, I am still half asleep and missed that.

Still if anyone has any tips/advice I welcome it.

  8. Ok thanks for the replies. It is possible that because I didnt have much experience with other classes when I made my first Scoundrel that I thought the class was pretty solid. Then after leveling other classes like Commando, Sage, Shadow, Sent and going back to Scoundrel leveling I guess I just feel much weaker compared to them.

There could be something else I am missing also, but I just feel weak. I dont feel like a pack the 'punch' I think I should. I feel like I am 1/2 glass cannon, the glass part.

  9. I played a Scoundrel when the game launched but have since switched to another server and have started a new Scoundrel this week.

I have leveled almost every class atleast into the mid 20s (other than Vanguard) and I must say Scoundrel feels very weak compared to the other classes at the lower levels.

The last time I leveled as a Scoundrel, the class was fun and it didnt seem 'weak' or a real chore to level as the class, now it does.

One real problem with this is that I am much more knowledgable about the game play, and pretty much have this character all buffed up with the best gear and bio stims/adrenal etc, best barrel/mods for him etc... but he still feels weak and fragile.

I am not totally sure what they did to this class, but I am not even sure if I should go on leveling the class considering it feels like much more work than any other class I have played. Even my playing tank or healer spec of other classes felt more powerful than I do right now as a Scoundrel.

This is not so much a 'QQ' post, but more of an observation about the class and the game in general. Like I said, I played almost every class, and just wanted to share my experience and my dissatisfaction with this class right now. I do know some of the lvl 50 Scoundrels are saying 'the nerf wasnt that bad' but from my experience I am noticing a significant difference in the strength of my character in the lower levels, compared to when the game launched and especially compared to any other class in the game right now, I thought leveling as a healing Sage was a pain, until I started this new Scoundrel.
