The sad reality is many are not accepting it and have already unsubbed due to this decision. The US and EU communities should be on alert the APAC servers are not the last axe to fall.

Don't good enough! Don't let the APAC servers become Alderaan! Save them! Sign the petition: http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/keep-apac-servers-for-swtor-available-and-merge-them-into-1.html -
A lot of people are oblivious to this announcement because it is buried in the forums that not many players check. It's better to do something than to do nothing at all!

This should be a worry for the entire game. We are apparently being merged with some of the most popular US servers so this indicates to me that populations are not improving across the board and could spell disaster. To quote Yoda: "The dark side clouds everything. Impossible to see the future is" -

I understand the Oceanic servers are suppose to cater to the South-Pacific region but sadly they don't. Perhaps if the game was a roaring success still they might have expanded in the Asian regions but we know that day will never come. Rather than rejoicing at the fact our community is in a worse situation and yours is improving why continue to rub it in our face? The anger will surely pass and if mergers go ahead, as planned, then you can enjoy it without the malice. -

I repeat, you and your friends knew what the connection would be like because the servers were based in Australia. We had 10 players on Harbinger from Japan and Singapore in the guild who all decided they would not transfer because the servers would make their situation worse. It would be the same logic if the servers were based in South Asia and Aussies transferred to APAC servers and complained about the latency - I'd ***** them out too. Most gamers know that many regions in Asia connect straight to the US and then go to Australia. All you had to do was make a level 1 character when the APAC servers launched to see how you performed. And I'm not saying you are a bad player. -

Don't act like you are one of us. You play on Dalborra with 400+ms and complain about the ping issues all the damn time. This move benefits you because your latency improves whereas ours gets worse. Show some compassion for your fellow community and just let them have their say. It's your fault you chose to roll on APAC with that abysmal connection not ours. -

You do realise a lot of us came from these same servers we are being sent back to right? So some of us know how suboptimal the US servers are when connecting to Australia. Red circles, moving of AOE, getting a stun off in time are all just some of the issues that mean the difference between a raid wipe or losing a crucial PvP battle. You are downplaying the situation to suit your agenda. Free transfers for all APAC to any server would of been the best option and we could have suited those who wanted to go US or elsewhere and those who love localised servers and wanted to stay. -

This!!! SWTOR had one competitive advantage in our region when compared with other MMOs - localised servers. The lack of content has been overlooked by some players in the APAC community because the performance is just really great to PvP and PvE competitively. Now that is gone a lot of players are leaving and those who cared about population have already left months ago to join the US or other games. A few miniorities (mainly a small population of subs living in Asia) like the idea of transferring because they connect directly with the US and not Australia. I say wait for paid transfers and send your toons off then. You knew you ping/latency issues before you signed up. You're alienating a subsection of your customers, firstly by ignoring us for months and secondly annoying the remainder who stuck it out with the game. -

Another philosopher on the forums come to enlighten us on what's right for our community....awesome. -
I know right! Why must we search the forums for a statement regarding the future of our community? What we've got here is a failure to communicate.
