  1. Shadowbane should have been developed and released ten years later. It was WAY too ahead of it's time.
  2. I don't like bumping negative threads but I agree. It feels like it prioritizes targeting things in this order some times... Can the player not see it? Is it outside the attack range? Is it not currently fighting you? Is it neutral? Is it a companion pet? Is it right freaking next to you? As you can see it has to pass a lot of checks before you can switch to the guy right next to you that you desperately need to stun before he finishes that heal.
  3. A lot of this is so contradictory. On one hand he wants you to be able to skip story and have a level 50 quick and pronto. On the other hand he lambasts every aspect of this game that is not story. Says that the story is great and if you play for the story then you are doing it right. Then says you're punished by playing for the story... then suggests a system that would fix this by allowing you to skip all the ... story?
  4. I think the Jedi Knight already has forms built in through class abilities? Would it not be even more awesome if the abilities came with specific stances when the Light Saber was drawn? Would be freakin rad!
  5. A planets update would hook me in too! Money on the table. You know if they added planets there would be new environments, new stories, and new missions.
  6. This is a fact. The only reason I roll human is because they get full beards as a species feature. (Just check. Only Humans can be that manly) But a lot of the smuggler armor used to accidently trim the beards. Almost any thing with goggles hanging from the neck would trim it. I put in a few reports on the specific armors and about two months later it was patched out with the 1.2 update. I wish the turn around had been done more quickly but I'm happy to see that they realized that some of us would never trim our beards.
  7. I started to think about this more and more and wouldn't the next logical step be to just let people purchase level 50 characters? The evil clone is just one step removed from that. You don't have to play the character. You don't build it. You don't experience the story. In a game largely consisting of unlockable content. From missions, to gear, to legacy rewards, story, companions, space missions, and so on it seems counter intuitive in the extreme that you would not have to similarly "unlock" a level 50 character on the opposing faction by... Playing the character on that faction.
  8. Hear! Hear! Some times I wonder if this game were designed purely from a two player perspective. How do you think Bioware could improve on and add to the cooperative player experience?
  9. Yeah there's a lot of content to go through. I've been doing an every mission full clear on the Republic side for months. There are A LOT of missions and stories. I'm surprised that you'd be okay with no content updates though. There's got to be some thing you're excited to see...
  10. Here's a new one! This is some thing that is easily over looked. I agree the combat animations in this game are very well thought out. To make it even better though? I guess that would mean having "impacts". One of the most satisfying abilities in this game is the dirty kick. Because you kick and the guy immediately doubles over. It makes it seem as if the kick actually connected with their groin.
  11. What do you think would make the ship experience even better? I was thinking decorations and trophies would be really cool. As you full cleared planets or whatever get little tokens to flesh it out. Would be like an achievement system that isn't just a menu.
  12. What would make it even better? I was thinking a Mass Effect 2 style mission where the whole team needs to get involved in order to succeed would be awesome.
  13. There's so much potential with companions that even the tinfoil hat guys got to believe there will be a future update for this. Of course getting back to the subject of the thread though... Say a companions update came through in a future patch with just companion quests and customizations galore. Especially for those passed 10k. Would you be super excited and right back in to the game again?
  14. Oooh I like this. What if when you built some thing you could add additional components in addition to the base recipe? Depending on the components added it would increase or decrease the chances of getting particular suffixes. This would add an all new dynamic to the market and give crafters even more flexibility over what they can make. Not to mention build in more credit sinks to control inflation.
  15. Wouldn't the evil clone idea however reduce the number of people playing lower tier content? If SWTOR is still running two years from now it can still feasibly maintain a newbie player base for people just starting out. The sheer volume of alts that people will be rolling just to see eight story lines almost guarantees that newbie zones will never be empty. This is part of the genius of the SWTOR model. Aging MMOs have always had difficulty attracting even more new players because almost no one is playing that early game content. If SWTOR is successful it almost certainly will never feel these pains. However if the evil clone system is implemented I imagine there would be less alts and consequently less people in low level areas.
  16. I really like interacting with the companions too. I'd really like to see an almost "daily mission" style companion conversation which initiates a mission. It'd be random so say you have Corso and Bowdaar on one day your "daily" would be Corso and on another it would be Bowdaar. It would keep it pretty dynamic and fresh and would further make your ship a mission hub.
  17. Are you certain? There's absolutely nothing that would bring you back? I don't play World of Warcraft any more but if they told me they added solo rated BGs I'd be back in a heartbeat. There's got to be just one thing that would get you to scratch that itch.
  18. So you love SWTOR. What is your one single favorite feature? If you were to make it even better what would you add to it? I love how each planet has a self contained storyline. It would be awesome if story decisions from one planet could bleed over on to the next. Let's say you do Nar Shadaa first and save a guy during one mission. Later on a mission on Tatooine you encounter that person you saved during another mission.
  19. A polish patch, eh? Just improve on every thing they've already done and make an update on that alone. I can feel it.
  20. Unfortunately posts like these are just derailing the conversation. If Bioware added one thing that would excite you what would it be? Share with us what you'd like to see for the future of SWTOR.
  21. Which MMOs have you played that reflect this view point? How do you think they designed it so that the world pvp would be good? I mean Bioware can't just say "there will be world PvP" and be done.
