  1. Just remember that all the trolls insulting TOR are comparing it to a 8 year old World of Warcraft. While those few veterans who can compare it to the 1 month old World of warcraft can hands down tell you that this is far more polished and has a lot more end game than WoW. The other option is people new to MMO's, and I'm sure they don't realize how much more grindy this game could be. Imagine if no one was 50 yet. Because thats how many MMO's work. Im sure they could copy that and really piss everyone off.
  2. Armstech drops all day the only 3 crafting skills that get schematics in all of my Operations are Armstech Synthweaving and Armormech. All 3 of these craft 2+ Rakata tier items with the chance at a crit for a Rakata + Augment slot. Cybertech can do this with 1 item which Ive never seen a single recipe drop for nor have i met anyone with the rakata tier of earpiece. Though my guild is already throwing away synthweaving/armormech/armstech recipes because we get 4 per boss 2 rakata 2 columni. The armor and mods that we make can't go above the level 49 ones atm which come out to (51) when rakata is (58) so those don't help the end game players. Everything else we make is a joke. Speeders are worthless in all forms of combat and dont do anything because all the best speeders come from instances anyway or other random drop chances. Ship parts are also unimpressive as there is no purpose to them in combat yet again. The final one is grenades which are the single worst perk ive ever seen. 5 minute cd is a joke and when the damage before was moderately ok they nerfed it to the ground turning them into absolute garbage, they also have an unimpressive throwing range and don't apply to your accuracy with some bosses dodging them occasionally making that a 5 minute cd that did nothing. ( I have 110% accuracy so its definitely not that). While Biochem may need a slight nerf to bring it inline with the other 4 crafting skills. THough Cybertech definitely needs a buff, Grenades especially Id say increase the Damage a bit like 50% and lower the cooldown to 3 minutes. Or increase the damage by about 100% and leave the cd where it is. Hell just the pre nerf grenades would be awesome. Though the cooldown should still be 3 minutes.
  3. Cybertech can make some money though other professions have pulled it just as well. So Im going to assume that anyone calling this the second best for money has no idea how to make money out of their profession. So lets talk about how cybertech really isn't the second best and is probably the second worst if not worst. We get armoring which can't be as good as anything you get from dailies end game, and if you are leveling it only helps for about 5 levels which you could also replace by using your commedations to buy gear from each place as you leave. The best ones i have seen made are rank (51) which is less than tionese. Mods can be made by us but follow the exact same principal and rules as armoring and are therefore not good. We can make speeders but they all look so similar and are only kind of cool plus everyone has all of them by the time they hit 50 and the market is already flooded with them. Grenades are beyond garbage... I would never consider them in anything. I get to cast a 2.5k DOT 1 time per boss fight or 2/3 times per pvp match. And finally earpieces this is the one thing we can make well. Get the Rakata recipe (a miracle to get the right one) than make a hundred of them to hope for a boosted stats with 1 augment. Though the other crafting professions with armor come with 3 of these they can make so they are 3x as good. The only one potentially worse is artifice but thats because i dont know everything they can make. So in the end there is one thing you can do thats kind of worth it in cybertech. And yet they nerf it. Before you flame post remember this is about Professions at the endgame not leveling.
  4. For PVE matches I've settled on an arsenal build as the best bet. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#300Mc0MZrIkroMdokfzZc.1 This build has proven itself to be quite great, The alacrity from Critical reaction is enough to speed up you channeled spells and with level 50 gear its pretty much always up. Integrated Systems and Custom Enviro suit make keeping you alive so much easier for your healers. The remaining talents in Arsenal that have 0 points in them are all pvp focused which without dual talents you have to sacrifice that pvp utility to make your PVE more efficient. Advanced Targeting is just a good thing to have less accuracy on your gear leads to more the damage increasing stats. Other than the build the rotations are quite easy. Use the Tracer missile with an immediate rapid shots to keep you heat from getting to high. (If you aren't leveling you need to make sure that you don't use rapid shots when your vent heat is off cooldown) Try to get all 5 stacks of Heat Signature up before bringing in Rail Shot, Heatseeker Missile, and Unload and make sure you unload whenever barrage is in effect, all these spells are lower heat cost than tracer missile and will bring your damage much higher.
  5. I like that you guys find it ok, money making wise its still one of the worst. It can be done but no one needs anything you make. Ship parts are the only thing they cant get better of for free. PVP wise there was no need for the nerf you can use the grenade 2 times per PVP match and thats in a long game. Some of them were only 1 and all it really did was sway one cluster of dudes to run but both teams had them just the same, so it was even. In PVE cybertech has 0 purpose you can use your grenade which is now less dmg than most of your actual abilites, 1 time per fight, only 1 time for about 5k dmg. Im only mad because I spent a lot leveling it to 400 just to find out that its no pointless. Mods/armoring/earpieces/speeders/ship parts/grenades are all completely useless in PVE and of the latter only 1 is remotely useful in pvp, and that is almost an unnoticable difference. I dont even care about recipes anymore no matter what it is that drops its completely pointless for me to have. They either help a companion or it has 0 use.
  6. Mokg seems to be a massive ***** about this too. Every post has one when it comes to this. they got lucky and it didn't effect them. Its a scripting error sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Last week we gave up after 15 attempts because it just wasn't worth it. This week goes in on the 12 attempt with us following absolutely 0 strategies. We were angry and just pushed them whenever they were up in whatever fashion would be fastest. It worked perfectly that time. Ive posted in another forum what the final spin results were but it doesn't matter. My in game ticket response says the fight is indeed bugged. So when it comes to a lucky guild with ignorant condescending members or the Bioware Droids I'm going with the droids on this one. STOP BEING A ***** TO DUDES WHO ARE BEING **** ON! Try something positive like, there is a strategy and you probably found it but sometimes it just won't work. Keep at it or wait for the fix patch. On the bright side they are putting some kind of reset feature in so if you fail you can die or leave and not have to reset and clear trash.
  7. Did the 8 man following all rules posted including Sovrin the douche bags Mechanic that is the fight. Had to reset 11 times following all different 100% guaranteed means of getting it. But we got in on the 12 try doing absolutely nothing original pushed it when it was available and used the console that would be the fastest. It just worked one wheel took 11 the other took 7 finished North wheel in its entirety 3 turns before south wheel. Just wanted to tell you guys that I have no idea what makes everyone think its a 100% guaranteed mechanic. I can safely say its just a buggy piece of ****. For future on North wheel it was right 2 Left 1 Left 2 Right 2 and South wheel was Left 3 Right 2 Right 3 Left 3. All the 3's didn't really matter which direction but those are the ones they chose. We picked up our not so free lootz and made fun of all the condescending posters for an hour. Thank you for nothing but attitude and doubt.
  8. Sup fellow Utahns, Just enjoying the below freezing weather with no snow. Running on server Mandalore the indomitable in the guild Tralfamadorian Scourge. All but two members of the guild are utahns in the Greater salt lake area.
  9. If you are a bounty Hunter I would Highly suggest Slicing, I'm level 16 with about 5k in profits from slicing so far. My slicing is only level 60 and mako routinely comes back with a blue schematic or quest starting item for all the crew skills. Aside from that if you want money I would also suggest slicing it gives good money and random other little bonuses which have proven really beneficial to cybertech.
