  1. Thank you so very much Xianpu, I'll be sure to site your name.
  2. Thank you Micadog for your post, I know that this causes migraines, but I always try to give circumstances outside of my control the benefit of the doubt. It may sound very 'wussy' of me, but I try to avoid looking at my screen when I see these anomalies specifically because of this reason.
  3. Thank you xianpu, If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to copy and paste these pictures in my original post. Would you mind if I did so?
  4. Thank you for your response, Jeedaix The exact opposite actually happened to me. As I closed my distance to the 'power generator' it became worse. I tried swirling my camera around as well as zooming in or out. Adjusting my camera had several affects on the glitch. Sometimes this technique made the issue worse, better, or it didn't change at all. Also, it would pop up during conversation scenes. This was probably the worst of all, since I could do nothing to adjust my camera or run though the area quickly, and I had to keep my eyes on the screen.
  5. Thanks for the response Nangasaur, I hope these drivers help your issue!
  6. Thank you Zegeldis for this response, I'm sorry to hear that this did not fix the issue at hand. It's very disconcerting to find there's no way we can fix this issue on our part. This is all the more reason to continue to post and make sure the developers are aware of this issue and have it resolved asap.
  7. I'm really happy to see this has helped. Though, I know there are still many other people out there that do not have this solution. Please community, continue to post so the developers can succeed in fixing this issue by first knowing it is there. Thanks
  8. Thank you for your response porfyr, I haven't noticed this helping, as I alt-tab numerous times during my play-throughs. I'll have to keep more attention as to whether this helps or not.
  9. Thank you Balraw, If you have any screenshots, please post them. I'm sure more screenshots will be helpful to the development team. Yes, as I said in my original post; I've noticed the green walls changing shape. Most of the time, it's exactly as you posted; a solid green wall. This glitch is very unsettling, and I left tatooine as well before I finished the quests just in an attempt to avoid more of these structures. Sadly, they're on Aldaraan, and Balmora so far.
  10. Thank you DerWige for this suggestion, I have an ATI card, with the latest drivers. This issues seems to persist.
  11. Thank you for your response AplsStranger, I've never been one to get a severe migraine from light anomalies either, but after that migraine (and like I said, I'm certainly not accusing this glitch as the main cause) I really had to wonder. I know we're all raging nerds here, but I'm honestly concerned for everyone's well-being when I see such effects.
  12. I'd like to reach out to the community for more posts on this issue. I understand priorities in a forum like this, but this is a serious health issue to anyone playing.
  13. I had a huge response to this, but to be honest I don't even feel like posting it. So to put it simply; you're not deserving of any refund for spending money on a product without properly researching it. You should've given the game time to mature, and then looked into reviews. This goes without saying to any game / movie / product. So tired of people feeling entitled just because they spent their 'hard earned money.'
  14. Thank you Ommm for your response, I don't care how fussy or prissy I may sound, but I'm honestly concerned for my health. Many people are unaware just how much of an affect these sorts of effects have on your brain and eyesight. It isn't good to say the least. For whatever reason they did not fix this sooner, it really needs to be fixed now.
  15. I understand this is a small chunk from a very lengthy post, but I feel it must be addressed. This game is nothing like WoW. WoW isn't even like WoW. WoW is a modern version of Everquest, with 6 years to build upon an already successful game. Yes I know many people know this, but its silly how people continue to reference WoW's 'ingenuity' when Everquest did it first. There are base mechanics that give a foundation similiar to WoW, but to say those make it a copy would be the same statement as; "All movies are the same, because they use cameras, rising / falling action within the plot, etc..." If you're unhappy with this game, then be unhappy with this game, but stop using this tired excuse.
  16. Hello, I noticed these glitches pretty much everywhere. The worse was Tatooine, but everywhere these glitches appear pretty bad. Basically, there are green (energy?) light beams that cast a huge wall of rapidly flickering green light. I've never been prone to migraines, but after leveling in a zone with several of these glitches I was knocked on my butt for about half a day with a severe migraine. I'm not saying that this could have solely caused my migraine, but I know it sure didn't help. To insure the quality if your customer's health, please put this on the priority of fixes. Here are a few screenshots I've taken: http://s1090.photobucket.com/albums/i362/chiyomadness07/?action=view&current=greenlightglitch1.jpg <--- Sometimes the light can be solid, full of specks that flicker, or like this with slanted lines. http://s1090.photobucket.com/albums/i362/chiyomadness07/?action=view&current=greenlightglitch2.jpg <-- This is the structure I described, and from a distance the glitch normally starts off with a line shooting off into the distance. http://s1090.photobucket.com/albums/i362/chiyomadness07/?action=view&current=greenlightglitch3.jpg <-- Line up close. EDIT: I forgot to add, I did uninstall / reinstall the game from my discs. I've -never- seen such an anomaly in any other game I've installed on this computer. So I know this problem isn't on my part. EDIT 2: I also turned off bloom effects, as well as poked around with other video preferences with no results on fixing this issue. EDIT 3: These images were provided by Xianpu via post later on in this thread. Having obatained Xianpu's permission to copy and paste them here, I would like to present the community with further examples of this very severe lighting issue. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/213/screenshot2011122914115.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/802/screenshot2011122914113.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/406/screenshot2011122914114.jpg/
  17. Now I must throw my two cents in here... Here's the build I'm following: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600GGdRrd0dGzZf00MZ0M.1 Here is the guide you should read: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=638 Before I found this pool of information, I hated my healing sage. It was one of the most difficult healers I've ever played (and I've played quite the few healers in my day). I've found that the Jedi / Sith classes take some time to grow into their roles. Even the Jedi Knight tank takes time to become a force to be reckoned with. Give it some time, and look through the guides on these forums. Check out how the smuggler heals, as well as the trooper, then make your decision on which suits you best. EDIT: You simply must take those first 5pts in telekinetic first. The guide also explains how these points are essential. It only knocks your rejuv - conv combo back by a handful of levels.
  18. Before I found this thread, I made another. It's buried completely. Someone told me in game you get it at lvl 30. I've had no one else confirm this.
  19. Title says it all, if it is implemented, where do I go to get one? Thanks
