  1. Well I get the same thing and it already IS the 16th, so....
  2. Holy ****, Crenshinibon, that really, really blows! I'd kind of figured I'd keep up my sub, 'cause I do enjoy the game, but wth, BW. This is just a bit much. This was a no-brainer. I am so disappointed for you, Crenshinibon.
  3. I have about as many male toons as female. Just depens on class, what backstory I want to have, whether I'm imitating a hero from another universe, or what the character models look like.
  4. I can't see any reason for me NOT to unsubscribe. This doesn't mean I will stop playing, it's just that there are several reasons it would be a waste of money for me. 1. I am an altaholic. I don't even have a 50 yet, 'cause all I do ingame is craft, RP, do a couple quests a day. I am SLOW!!!! So if I can do all that without paying, um...why would I pay? I've only ever played one MMO at a time, and 15 a month is totally worth the ability to drop in, do a couple quests, explore some stuff, work on a class line, craft some armour, check the marketplace, listen to general chat, etc. So far, I've played the whole game like a single-player game, but I love the events and RP and general smart-assery. If I can get that without a monthly fee, I will. What I do NOT get from this game, or any other, is the high-end dungeon content and high-end PvP content. I will never be part of that scenario no matter what <no negative reasons, just don't CARE> so if that's the majority of what a subscription unlocks, I won't feel like I'm missing a thing. And when a new expansion comes out, or I want to take my Agent further along his path after 50, then I can re-sub on my own sweet time.
  5. I know I wasn't alone when we bought the game thinking "Awesome, I can solo 16 different characters to 50 if I want!" And it's true, sort of. It's at the very least 8 different stories rolled into one, and I'm glad for that. I don't feel I'm missing any end-game content at this point. People run through the FPs so fast there's no storyline, just space-bar and move on to the next point. And the gear doesn't matter, really. It's just...gear. At the end, it's not a means to any other end, so...no biggie. I was hoping for, but not expecting, a DAoC-style open-world continual PvP environment, but that was never in the cards. I'd be a happy camper if that occurred, though
  6. Since 1.2 I've just been running the Moderate missions in slicing, which returns some profit. There's a bug and the ones that are supposed to return the most <like Rich> just aren't doing so. BW has stated they'll fix it but who knows when. In the meantime, even the moderates are returning purple and blue missions so I'm just staying with those until it's 'fixed'.
  7. I get lots of cybertech schematics from slicing lock box missions, but just ship parts and speeder schematics. Which never sell. I finally just started a cybertech alt to use them, lol.
  8. I've been seeing multiple people spamming trade with level 12-20 oranges going for 80K and up. ??? Are these realistic prices? Yeah I know you can spent the money to mod them up to use until 50 < I guess> but seriously, ***?
  9. Now if I'd just stop getting Diplomacy missions all the time, argh. NOBODY WANTS THOSE!!!
  10. The 'news team' and the broadcasts all over Fleet every 2 minutes for a solid week were perfect opportunities for in-game updates. Hell, I think the news pods, and maybe the broadcasts <just not so often> should stay in game and update people. Why not? It's immersive, it's easy, it's sensible, it makes a LOT more sense than trying to alt-tab out and then dig through the mess to find an answer to something that should suggest itself ingame already anyway. Could have given some up and coming tech company <ingame> credit for the vaccine and subsequent erradication of the plague; could EASILY have announced the date the plague was expected to be contained, and the travel restrictions lifted.
  11. Well I can't get back into Ven Zallow either, so is that three?
  12. I read the title wrong, and thought it was asking if people were losing their jobs due to playing too much SWTOR. I am the opposite, being recently laid off and so enjoying the time to play for once. On the other hand, I'd be surprised if a gaming project didn't slim down it's crew after the release; a certain amount of the work people were hired for is DONE. Not that there's lots more to do, but it often requires different skills. As a whole company, well...I'm not worried about SWTOR in particular. Zynga can go bite itself for all I care, however.
  13. Yeah, I used to drop deliberately and pick it back up again <slicing> because I was sure that a mission being green gave better results as far as schematics went. Still not sure about that one, but haven't dropped it lately. And as has been said many times, there's got to be a database error regarding the missions, that's ALL. Sure, there may have been some changes intended, but there is no way anyone deliberately makes rich missions lose money and moderate missions double it, I mean come on. They're not that stupid. Just enjoy the great returns on the moderate missions until BW fixes it. Also, I've done nothing but moderate missions the last few days and have had plenty of schematics drop. Didn't have a single one drop from rich missions before that, after 1.2, so if the changes were to promote missions from rich slices and money from moderates, they missed something.
  14. Guys, if you haven't figured it out yet, it's clear the missions are mislabelled, maybe a datebase error or something. . Getting GREAT returns on moderate missions, with abundant being next best. It's a shame BW hasn't figured this out, or at least addressed the issue, but in the meantime, enjoy getting better results from cheaper missions, cause when BW DOES figure this out, it'll be back to spendy missions.
  15. Ah, ok, I'll keep saving mine then. Have only found one augment recipe, and I thought 'Finally I can use these parts!' but they take normal scavenging materials. But if they're for the purple and blue ones, then I'll get to disenchanting!
  16. Hey, this is great, thank you! Will definitely use it a lot
  17. Ok, it appears, from what other people have posted and what I've noticed particularly, that missions are just being mislabelled. Rich are not rich, moderate are. Obviously this is a big whoops, but they have to notice and fix that; it's also affecting other gathering professions. So...go with the moderates, or wait until it's fixed. Hell...since the moderates are cheaper, go with them...lots...while we can.
  18. Maybe it's just me, but...before 1.2 I used to seek out the rich or abundant missions, even if they were lower level, because they were not common. Might have one rich or abundant per tier, if that. Now...now all I SEE are rich and abundant, and I'm actually having to dig all the way down to find moderate ones. It's as if it's opposite day! Also haven't had a single crit since 1.2, and I *was* doing rich and bountiful until yesterday. Argh.
  19. Wow, this is really...bad. I mean...really bad. Just got 130 credits back from a level 4 Bountiful lockbox. No more crafting for me; slicing was the only way I could finance it, hehe.
  20. Well, you have until next Sunday to get one level, one way or another
  21. If that happens, it happens. I confess to being a 'do it myself' er and tend to waste time and money crafting, hehe. But I'll get that purple jacket one of these dozens of DEs, I will!! I'm almost legacy 3. I'll concentrate on experience-gaining opportunities this week and see what happens. I do think it was a very nice gesture by Bioware, and am quite happy for the people that are close enough to the cut-off that it's feasible.
  22. This is not a complaint, but my viewpoint, which I'm pretty sure isn't singular: I got the CE back in July, and have been playing since before release. I've played just about every day. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time, and have at least a dozen characters spread through 3 servers. (Got tired of the queues on the original server, changed, and recently got our two kids into playing, so am now also playing with them on a PVE server) My highest character is a 41 Operative. I love him! I love the storyline, am continually surprised by developments, and can't wait to see what happens next. Oh wait...yes. Yes I can. I in fact do have the option to be home for the next week and do nothing but get him to 50, and I will, in fact, try to make it a point to concentrate on levelling him this week. But I am *not* going to space-bar my way through an amazing story, all for a rushed experience and a free month's play. For this, you can blame BioWare for making a game that is actually FUN to level, FUN to experience, and...worth the money.
  23. I still think it'd be better for the 50s that are SO inconvenienced by the lack of rated warzones to just unsub until the game is where they want it. Especially since they just got a free month. If 1.2 was so disappointing that that many 50s were going to quit, then what, exactly, are they going to do during the free month? THERES STILL NOTHING FOR THEM TO DO!! Right?
