  1. For group PVE and easy leveling I prefer to get Salvation at level 40. This great healing skill is much better than anything else Sage have at this level. If you do not like to respec often, put every point into Seer tree until you get Salvation. Force cost reduction from Inner Strength is nice but not required before harder content anyway. And remember, with free respec available it is up to you how to distribute skill points. For PVP I strongly recommend to look at stun-bubble healer build (all key abilities are avaliable at level 38). In this case you may want to place your first skill points into Telekinetic tree to get main CC abilities faster.
  2. Actually you lose only about 12 static bonus healing if you wear DG relic instead of EWH. This is not that much. and in return you get nice burst.
  3. I have beaten Nightmare Kephess with EWH + DG combo. DG relic provides nice power boost when you need it.
  4. We are looking for a good healer to fill our main raiding team. Class and gear does not matter.
  5. And why to gimp myself at all? Alacrity gives me so many benefits: every five casts I get a whole free second of movement, every ten casts give me free GCD for Adrenal or anything else, my Healing Trance channels faster, I can spam Benevolences like machine gun, and so on. If I ever need big slow heal I can get 15k in 6 seconds with Force Potency buff. So what the point in extra 4% of Surge rating? As I have said a few posts earlier, I have tried 0% alacrity setup. It didn't work for me.
  6. As a sage healer I do not limit myself to only support role - sages can perform any role in a raid group perfectly. if you can not main heal in operations, you are doing something wrong. Here is my stats: http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/6881/sagewf.jpg Not BiS, but as you can see 9% alacrity does not impact my surge rating too much. I like to be able to cast faster, and faster casts are crucial in NiM EC. With 0% alacrity you get extra 50 healing from every Salvation critical tick, but you lose versatility and limit your movement.
  7. Good news, everyone! Recently we have started regular 16-man runs.
  8. I have tested 0% alacrity setup. It is useful and Sage healers can clear hardest bosses with it, but in situations when intensive healing is required I feel that it limits Sages healing output. While crits with "0%" build are huge and pleasant, I prefer ~9% alacrity because it just makes healing easier.
  9. A little update: we have killed 4th boss from TFB HM.
  10. "Enraged" is friendly international multi-language guild. Formed on Nightmare Lands server, we have gathered many mature players from all over Europe. Our main communication language is Russian (we also speak English and Sweden). We offer: daily raids (all content is cleared and on farm mode); fast gear progression for new members; PvP premade groups; voice chat; guild crafting; help with leveling, world bosses, datacrons etc. All classes and levels are welcome to join us. Contacts: Haykin Maita Embitu Drinkjoda Foma
  11. You can access to Operations from your fleet (Gav Daragon for Republic), or you can use Group Finder tool (GF KP runs may be very frustrating). You may want to run Eternity Vault operation first to learn PVE group coordination, it is very easy and PUG friendly. Your "crappy" War Hero gear is quite good for any current content (except HM EC).
  12. Astronomers have for the first time discovered two alien planets whirling around a pair of stars: a complete solar system with twin suns just like Tatooine.
  13. Guard lowers threat generation. In PVE tanks should use this ability on best DD in a group, because if a healer pulls aggro from a tank, he is doing something wrong. There no fast way to learn about healing capabilities. Healing up to about level 40 is very limited for every class and up to level 30 you can barely see difference between healing mechanics.
  14. As a geared healer I do not care about how well other people are geared in HM FP. I have healed a tank in 47-49 level green stuff in BoI HM without issues. Recruit gear is very good starting point for fresh 50s. It comes with decent stats for its cost and requires very little effort to acquire. Of course, PVE gear from dailies is better, but margin is not that big to worry about. You may care about gear only in LI HM where players should wear Columi level sets.
  15. From my experience optimized Rakata gear is enough for HM EC. If you have money to augment your tanks gear, do it. EC is all about tactics.
  16. Full augmented (with blue augments) Columi set is enough for EC SM, but the more Rakata/BH pieces you have the easier will be the run. I have completed SM EC with tanks in augmented recruit gear. Skill and teamwork outweighs gear. Test it for yourself. Just be ready for for some wipes on Toth&Zorn.
  17. Of course any voice chat software is not required. If you know mechanics and/or are able communicate via typing you can clear any operation. But voice communication helps a lot. Even if someone does not want to speak, he should be able to hear commands from raid leader. Also it shortens explanation times.
  18. Checked last night. Sad but true and I found it kinda lame. As I remember at some point Fabricator's stacks should be removed by left ice nozzle. I am disappointed by this changes. This encounter required some tactical movements and coordination, but now he is as simple as any other TnS boss. I really hope this changes was unintended.
  19. You can not keep Fabricator in one spot in Hard Mode and you should move him between fire and ice nozzles. 3 people on top I found unnecessary because you need to click only 14 times and after right nozzle fires you want everyone to damage the boss while he is red. Moving Fabricator takes some time and you have enough time to solve puzzle with only 2 people. Practice helps. Stun-droids can be killed in 2 GCD if all DD focus fire. Droid near doorway should be killed first to free healer. Also it can be stunned to buy some time. The main damage source to your group is explosive "markers". If you do not run away from group with it on you, it will stress your healer. Where to run? rDD can run inside doorway. mDD can run in the hall and jump on boss after explosion. Rule No1: never stand where you can blow active tank because on 10 stacks it one shot kills him.
  20. I recommend 2 people on puzzle: healer (or healing class) and someone else. You do not have to blow droids - just push/throw them away from buttons. 1 healer down. Tanks switch on 6-7 stacks if healer can not outheal 10 stacks on the tank without switching. Move droid from left to right and back skipping middle (it just removes droids). Kill stun-droids ASAP. Healer should stay near the wall, so only one droid to kill to "free" him. Remember to run away from group if you are marked.
  21. I like the new ability to transfer barrels and crystals between characters and hope for lightsabers to be in stock in a few days too. Pet is kinda ugly, but it is matter of taste. The whole idea of event where you have to find something without quest markers on your map is great. I love puzzle quests where you have to think a bit. It is a step in right direction. What I do not like is fight over boxes with other players. If a player has collected his 6 items he should be locked from picking more boxes. I know that you can find nice items in this boxes, but I feel something is wrong there.
  22. If we pick up someone outside our guild for EC HM we always /roll for any loot. Even for Stabilizers from chests. I think it is fair to offer something to a player who is helping us (or we are helping him, whatever). So far we have never experienced any drama over loot distribution.
  23. Cut-scenes Skip in HM and do as you like in SM. Speed runs Ask if you do not want to skip bosses or trash. Loot Need on current spec upgrades and vanity stuff, greed/pass on everything else.
