you were not in the alpha and beta stages of the game i was. ACs have never been something that was changeable. Infact they added additional notifications that it is a 1 time choice, there is no changing it. That is why you can now even look at talent trees before you pick them. They view the classes as the vanguard or the sentinel. Trooper or jedi is simply the story so they only had to make 8 stories instead of 16. They told the testers this during the beta stages while the NDA was in effect. To the devs changing from a commando to a vanguard is no different then changing a commando into an assassin. They even told us they made every class use a unique weapon/stance so that you could easily tell what class someone was by their weapons. IE a merc has 2 pistols a powertech has 1.

yet i was in everything pre launch of this game. i know it was not there, you were there so i know you are not speaking the truth. There was NEVER an option to change your AC in this game at any point.

they at one time thought about adding the option in beta but they said they desided to NEVER allow AC changes that is why they added in so many audio and text notifications that the AC CAN NEVER BE CHANGED. They knew it would be bad for the game to allow for full class changes. They want some choices to matter.

i have played this game since it was in alpha AC changes have NEVER been allowed on any level. So everything you just posted is a 100% lie.

so requiring different skills, gear and play style is not enough to be a different class??? What is required for a different class then??? BTW the Devs say they are fundamentally different Fundamental - serving as a basis supporting existence or determining essential structure or function : basic they are different down to their basic functions. They are different classes. They are not spec. Advanced Prototype is a spec of a powertech. Powertech is not a spec of a bounty hunter its one of the 2 bounty hunter CLASSES>

so the devs have a "narrow" view? you still cannot dispute the devs classify them as different classes.

AC change is getting a free new class at max level.... why can you not understand that what is wrong with you???? A vanguard is a different class then a commando even the devs have said that. They are separate classes... wanting to change that means you want a new class at max level that is the facts.

sorry but nothing in the cartel market allows you to skip the leveling process. Changing ACs is nothing more then pay to win its granting someone a completely new class, plain and simple. It is no different then offering kell dragon gear on the cartel market.

Also Rift does not have ACs, they have "souls" which is what they call their talent trees. They simply have 8 talent trees where a vanguard has 3. They are not ACs... you are just not smart enough to get it, you just prove with each post you make that you are a child and lack the ability to understand certain things... Going to your "marine" analogy. Once you becomes a marine sniper you never ever change and becomes a pilot. You are a marine but once a sniper you are a sniper you do not ever get the option of dropping the years of training they put into you to go and try and be pilot. So you proved though you own statement that AC changes cannot happen. However this will fall on deaf ears simply because your mind will never be capable of understanding anything outside what you want. You are still trying to fit the square peg in the round hole and just claiming that the round hole is actually square if you say it enough.

actually rift does have permanent classes, they simply have 8 talent trees each, but its still 4 classes. Also no matter what you can never turn a rogue in rift into a cleric, which is what he wants to do in SWTOR.

dude you do not know wow so every time you try to make that comparison you flounder and weaken your incorrect view. Paladins have 3 SPECS. Ret Holy and Prot. A Vanguard has 3 specs Shield Tactics and Assault. That is the correct analogy. A paladin changes specs to go from a tank to a DPS just like a vanguard changes specs to go from a tank for a DPS. You are trying to put a square peg into a round hole. Changing a vanguard into a commando is like changing a paladin into a hunter. The sad and pathetic thing is you simply are not smart enough to realize 2+2=4. Mo matter what saying something that is not true, regardless of how many times it is said it will never become true.

so the dev post linked over and over does not prove that even the devs say that the advanced class is your CLASS ???? Seriously if the people who made the game say that and you still do not get it then you will never have the ability to grasp even the simplest of facts.

man you have been told by more then a dozen different people why the assassin is the not the same as a sorcerer. You just ignore it and act as if the post was never made. You are the ONLY one arguing that all classes are the same even the devs have said the complete opposite. What will it take for you to understand that assassins are nothing like sorcerers. You have never leveled both ACs of a story, and your posts prove it. You are simply an entitles kid who feels just because he leveled something once he should have everything leveled now. Asking for a Vanguard to turn into a commando is NO different then asking for that vanguard to go to a sorcerer.

you are told time and time and time again why they are different. It is more then playstlye differences. However it does not matter how many times you are flat proven wrong you simply ignore the answer. One of the DEFINING things about each class is their weapon. Every class has a unique weapon they use. No 2 classes use the same weapon with the same stats.

i call BS on that. Its more then a playstyle change they have different gearing requirements, different gear sets completely. If you had played both to any decent level of progression you would know that playing a vanguard at the high end takes a much more skilled player then a commando does. You are just making the claim now to try and support your argument which all of us see right though.

commando is not a vanguard. IT IS A NEW CLASS!!!!!!!!! vanguard and commandos play NOTHING alike. They are 100% different playstyles and use a different set of skills. You have been told this over and over and over again. I guess you are just too thick headed to grasp it. Go right now and level a vanguard, then level a commando then come back and tell us if they are the same class. Nothing short of you actually LEARNING TO FRIGGIN PLAY will get someone a simple minded as you to understand.
