  1. I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that BioWare needs to stop coming out with ridiculous "New Player Guides", videos about how "great the game is!" and actually pay attention to the PROBLEMS with the game, you know, like the horrendously linear design of Ilum, the numerous bugs that still burden us in the end game and the rest of the game alike.

You've obviously confused your demographic. I get that its more about money than it is customer satisfaction at this point, but wasn't it obvious that you need to focus on actually fixing/creating end game content when you found out that most of the people who got to 50 within the first month have unsubscribed due to your total disregard of the community? All the DevTracker shows is that you address and answer the same, stupid drawn out questions asked by idiot players who can't follow basic instructions or learn to play the game, all too frequently without even providing us with any kind of solution to any of your REAL problems, writing it off constantly as a "thank you for your patience" or "working as intended".

Acknowledge the incredibly dissapointed hardcore-playerbase you've been losing since January, or I'm going back to Rift.

  2. impressive.

did you know at verizon they have a math chart that shows all providers even tmobile who is by far cheaper no matter how you swing it.

however on their chart you actually spend more at Tmobile than Verizon which is outside of AT&T one of the most expensive cell phone providers out there.

Point is. I can also make youtube videos showing how WOW is worse than TOR. will i. Hell no why should I it wouldn't make a difference.

that's like me saying PS3 is better than XBOX 360. the argument will never end.

I'm anxious to see your video comparison. I/O constraints, lackluster AI, bad assets handling, etc. is quite different from a phone service.

  3. yeah i tried to play WOW again.

its terrible the graphics are washed out and i'm sorry dude but high contrast and saturation does not good graphics make.

i can never understand why people think TOR's graphics are worse. the particle effects are better in WOW though.

as far as seamless. yeah pretty seamless alright i can go from heavy downpour in elwynn forest and enter the city of stormwind and its bright sunny skies. yep seamless alright didn't break my immersion what so ever. sure glad i don't have any load screens.

how about the horrible transition from Loch Modan into the badlands. you go from lush green to absolute desert. there's literally a line in the sand almost right where the zone changes.

    that's not seamless man..

    oh and critters.

i don't need kids, cats and chickens running around to get me into the game.

How about boss fight mechanics? Should we go there? LOL.

  4. So what? They had crappy HR and got nailed for a wrongful termination ro whatever. That has nothing to do with gameplay, game design, etc. You a former EA employee too? Way to introduce irrelevant, tangential crap in an attempt to color people's perceptions of the actual issues. Kudos.

Working conditions do matter when working on a product. You can turn a blind eye all you want in regard to the issue.

"Ben Schachter cited factors such as "the continued talent drain of key management..."

  5. They are not limited by the engine. Think of the hero engine as a base, but those parts can be completely swapped out. Bioware can re write code, add code and modify code. All they wanted was a frame work to start on. Don't listen to all the idiots crying saying because of the engine this game can't do X & Y. They can do whatever they want with the engine...its evolving. 5 years from now, you will see this.

No one in their right mind will use that excrement in 5 years. With all the better engines constantly evolving... Unreal Tech... CryENGINE... id Tech.

  6. Yes. Disgruntled laid off employee rages inconsolably on blog. Never seen that before.

    Past is prologue...

    They won the lawsuit.

"In May 2008, 'EA_Spouse' blog author Erin Hoffman, speaking to videogame industry news site Gamasutra, stated that EA had made significant progress, but may now be falling into old patterns again. Hoffman said that "I think EA is tremendously reformed, having made some real strong efforts to get the right people into their human resources department," and "I've been hearing from people who have gotten overtime pay there and I think that makes a great deal of difference. In fact, I've actually recommended to a few people I know to apply for jobs there," but also claims that she's begun to hear "horror stories" once again."

  7. Bioware doesn't have the current hero engine, they bought a prototype of the hero engine, and then had to develop the rest of it themselves.

This is coming from the guy who created the hero engine. Most of the problems with the hero engine, are because of Bioware's programmers, not the hero engine.

I read several articles several months ago about how EA basically hires kids straight out of college because they're dirt cheap... they basically "break them"... making them jaded towards gaming in general, etc. LOL

Then you've got this infamous article...

  8. personally i dont have any issues but those of you that do just need to give them some time

every PC game these days has performance issues on release and it usually doesnt get much better till about 6 months in so i'd say by summer we should see some nice changes

Enable your FPS display (CTRL SHIFT F)... take several screenshots while in combat in WZs and in Ilum... then post them. What are your specs? Thanks.

  9. Think what you want. I just rerolled on a heavy server and I don't have any stuttering on fleet or in WZs at all. I played 5 or 6 warzones on my trooper the other day and it felt pretty smooth over all.
