Honestly the answer is no. Rated teams either want the insane AOE burst damage of Rage, or they want the tanking/suvivablility of the Immortal/Vengeance Hybrid. Pure Vengeance pales in comparison to other classes DPS and as such you would not be wanted/needed on a ranked team that is playing to win.

So you're mad because you lose to a certain class in a 1v1? Walk a mile in the shoes of a Commando before you start crying nerf because you can't beat a certain class 1v1. Your problem is that you haven't learned how to adjust to a Pyro trying to burst you down. If you try to stand toe to toe with one you're more than likely going to lose. That's just bad strategy. Learn the class, learn your roll and learn how to adjust. You won't always win, and you will usually die, but there are ways to compensate. A Pyro chasing you around endlessly is a Pyro that isn't doing DPS to other people in your party. I'll give you one hint, stay away from them, use your snares and you should be able to figure out the rest.

I'm a commando, we were nerfed harder than any other class in 1.2. I'm still playing and I'm still having fun and I still kick butt most of the time. Nerfing isn't the end of the world. You can cry about it and whine and quit, but ultimately, it's not game breaking. You learn to adapt, but the game itself is still fun. This is second major update for the game in not a whole lot of time. My biggest complaint before was the total lack of communication with the player base. They have since corrected this issue. I see them moving in the right direction (server merges, better community teams, updates etc). A nerf to your class isn't the end of the world. Does it suck? If it's your class yes it does. Is it the end of the game? No it isn't.

Everyone freaking out that your server isn't on the list needs to chill out. They will very quickly be adding servers to the list. They already stated they need to watch for overload issues etc. I know everyone wanted to move today, but this is actually a much better way to do it. If they just bombed transfers to each server, you'd have log in issues, crashing issues etc. Think about people leaving a burning building, if everyone tries to bolt for the door, it gets jammed up and everyone dies. If you just leave calmly, things work out great. It will be a matter of a day or two before most transfers are done. If your still playing this game then surely you can wait that long to once again enjoy having people to play with and a sense of community.
