  1. Than I must have a stochastically absurd run of "mishaps", since I an approximately 20 Slicing missions (all rich or abaundant, rank 5 or 6 ). The opened lockboxes of that series of slicing run contained _never_ more than 1,2k (at a minimum 1780 credits for a rank 5 "rich" run). There was no crit result box (blue). There was no mission gained, which is not unusual. All in all, that series of missions netted me an approximately 20k loss. The companions have faction rating bewtween the high 8000 and app 6000 faction. I have no idea where you get your alleged "data" from, but they do not fit the facts of very real ingame runs. and I have been doing slicing missions continuously since mid- january on that character, after I retired her. If you can counter those observations with equally real results (preferaly with screenshots) from ingame, it would be a welcome addition to the debate. If, not stay out of a fact based discussion, if you please.
  2. Extremely purposeless nerf. Especially since slicing does not really otherwise interact with the only crew tradeskill profiting from the tech parts found, so far only armoursmithing. Selling the parts so far does not yield any success, so it might as well be considered a total loss as well. This might improve, though the question is whether there is a long term maret for augements, which mostly serve end-game players (who will wait and recraft for augment-socketed Armour) Fiancial loss of 50% - 60% money on every mission with lockboxes makes it extremely stupid to level. Right now, just slightly less useful than Investigation which at least yields material sone can at ties sell and yields companion gifts. Another reason to Biochem or now Armourcrafting
  3. this Besides, The Crew Skill Slicing is now badly broken, with "slicing" missions returning with app 40%_50% of the amount initially invested in the mission. On critical success you barely break even. This makes Slicing missions highly expensive, since you lose about 1k credits for the high end misssions without much of a chance to even get reimbursed, even less so of gaining a "Crafting mission" sellable blue or epic. Tested on three characters, Imp and Rep side, for continuously results with an average 40% return. Slicing is now officially useless , unless this was unintentional, which will put a severe wrench into the "crafting mission" market
  4. Don't give them ideas involving our cash ! ..actually, that's a very nice idea
  5. absolutely second that Nevermind that the "level 50 special class power" option for all characters within the Legacy almost mandates having a char of each class on a server. Which would actually mean the end of one of my two troopers or bountyhunters. Plus not having to reroll an existing toon just to try a Twilek trooper or Chiss Jedi
  6. Jep it's so much cooler to hang out on the Fleet for hours, parking your fat-ash mount squarely into the drop boxes and AH, while not sending your companions on missions, rather than quickly doing the space-dailies and staying poor. .....then asking for BW to hand out the cool stuff cheaply *headshake* As for the "Legacy-System" : right now, little of what I have seen looks actually fun enough to interest, me at all and that is where I would put my criticism Alternate races ? Give us Wookiee, Mon Calamaris, Devaronias, Ghants or Rhodians etc.. all those races already implemented as models since they are around as companions. I could care less for Chiss and mira-what-the-hecks... so far the only thing really "alien" are the Twilek and Zabrak......
  7. I do honestly fail to see your problems with getting your hands on cash ingame. I am a slow and leisurely player amd have tested the different chars a lot, deleting several in their high teens or tween. This has most certainly impeded my leveing and my Legacy. Highest char at the moment : level 38. Cash on all active (5) chars together ? Roughly 3 mil. without endgame dailies for 200k /day. 3 mil at level 38 ! So what are you guys doing wrong that getting money is "impossible" ? And yes I have a small fortune invested in "yet to be used" alternate equipment for my toons and unsed slots like orange gear. Funnily enough, I have no real desire formost of the legacy" enabled stuff-for-credits (what possible use is a white weapon crystal to my Scoundrel ?) So call me "oldfashioned" and excuse my frankness, but this smacks of laziness. less griping, more application of brain power !
  8. Tropper in Jedi Robe (heavy armour) with assault-cannon is close, but yes, not quite the real deal. Totally worth the faces/reactions of fellow players, though^^
  9. Having left Jawa out of the "playable" game was a major sin already. Same for Wookies. Or Devaronias, Nautolans or Mordukai And yes, I could have lived very well with less "same-human - different varnish races" in the beginning. Miralukans ? Zabrak ? Chiss ? Do they really make a difference ? At least as a Twilek you get some scripted nods as to not being human in the jedi consular story, but the this is "Star Wars", not Mardi Gras with humans dressed up so please, bring in the aliens, now ! As things are at the moment I see far weirder people and aliens on campus every day than on the Imperial/Republic Fleet PS I can well live with some clipping - since my Twilek's sensitive lekku hang outside her pilot's helmet already, get sucked into the engine intake of the speeder cab on Coruscant and break hood graphics without even twitching....
  10. yeah, but so what ? Especially from a roleplaying point of view, why interact with him if not necessary ? Within the confines of the smuggler's story he is obviously loyal, capable of performing his job (ranged tank - and by far the better tank on the smuggler team ) and will not endanger the team. Yes, There are far too many options which - from a roleplaying POV - I would like to explore with the crew, BUT this is a computer-based RPG, and those will, in the foreseeable future, be limited in the options explorable, since they find themselves incapable of improvising a story side-arc. There can be only so many story development options implemented in the game, and for rather obvious balancing reasons (where would you get a replacement companion ?), you cannot "kill them off". Exile to silent "cabin limbo" will have to do.... And NO, in my humble opinion, one cannot expect to find a "perfect mate" ingame, especially not with a choice of a maximum five companions. This is not "Star Wars : the old dating show" Nevermind that as far as I could tell, Han never could stand Luke very much, but still worked with him effectively enough.... Yes, I do play a female smuggler. But I do not share your position of "me being fed up with Corso means he has to go despite being very capable". I tend to laugh heartily at his misplaced interfering Being "crew" makes him kin, even if he is an unloved part of the clan. ...and I am probably channeling Malcolm Reynolds contemplating Jayne here
  11. hmmm : Qyzen, Khem Val, Risha, Tanno Vik, Torian Cardera, Ship Droid..... for me, that is., Vape them all !
  12. I don't like Corso. But he is useful (ranged tank with decent damage , and please do not mention the sloppy stupid furball "Han-Solo-reference" ), and given the fact that the male smuggler's "romance option" is the doubly obnoxious, arrogant, stuffed with self-entitlement hybris Risha, I find that I can stand Corso well enough. I just do not romance him ! The same as my male Smuggler (gunslinger) does not romance Risha ! And while I did not really expect it, I found it dissatisfying that I could not "vape" her or tell "her highness" to scoot after ACT I. Thanks to Bioware for saddling us Smugglers with rather unlikeable "romances". Then again, given a closer look at the romance options for several of the other classes I find it easy to abstain from too much romancing in the game ......say like the male Trooper's option, the female trooper being saddled (no pun intended) with Aric Jorgan or the more than slightly creepy "master and slave" situation for a male Sith Warrior with Vette.... Well, given that the original smuggler Han had the romance option "Leia" one might have gotten off easy though.... Compared to that.... suffering "hayseed" Corso as a companion (not lover) seems like a lesser burden - I have many obnoxious yet skilled colleagues at work (many are like T7 or Bowdar, down to the personal hygiene) , who I'd never ask out for a date, but can work alongside quite well. And frankly I find the deep and raw need for fulfilling romantic fantasies via your online Avatar shown by some people on this thread .....worrisome ? As an aside Equally worrisome IMHO is the odd feminist (and unthinking) reflex that good manners are "disdain in disguise"... while the other way around, they are simply taken a matter of "good character" and a virtuous trait. Likewise , if a male is rude, he is rude ! If a male is courteous , he is just "rude in disguise"..... and of course women are different. What a wonderful closed logical loop and case of prime gender stereotyping. Please do not break beloved dogma by looking for an alternative, more factually based explanation, say "people are diverse". And good polite manners may be the sign of highly personal respect or gratitude..... as is rudeness. Oh and "turning someone down" always has repercussions (which one may view as "negative") . It means "you are not good enough (for me)" . Rejection always smarts, whether one is male or female.
