  1. this fix worked for me. I have SWTOR installed on my laptop which I dont play on too often, but tried to today and got stuck on launcher with an unspecified error. I followed the simple steps on this video and it started patching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6XTfJzPDpU
  2. thanks for the help! It does appear I have pts installed. I don't see any official uninstall exe for the pts, and all the test files are combined with non-test files in my main assets folder. Is it safe to just delete any files with 'swtor_test' in the name?
  3. Sorry if this is not the proper forum for this. I was looking for support forums but couldn't find it. I was recently cleaning up my C drive when I found my SWTOR folder is taking up 60GB. How much space should the game actually be taking up on my SSD? I'm planning on moving it to my larger HDD, but I don't want it taking up 60GB there either unless actually necessary. Instead of moving it, should I just uninstall it from C: completely and reinstall a fresh copy on D:? Are there any files/folders to save other than "AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\" for my settings? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
  4. I realize this thread is old, but I've had this issue for a long time and never bothered trying to figure it out until today. Running in fullscreen windowed does not solve the issue, but running iTunes as admin worked for me as well.
  5. Answered my own question... but I'll leave the OP in case anyone else is wondering. It's Legacy/Server capped at 4. So you can have 4 per server.
  6. On occasion I play on more than one server. I realize there is a 'legacy' cap of 4 for strongholds, but how does it work across server? After I claimed and activated my freebie palace on Nar Shaddaa, I hopped on to my other server and saw that I couldn't buy a Nar Shaddaa SH because I already bought it on the other server. It would, however, let me re-activate it in that toons name. So is the stronghold cap shared across servers then? Just trying to figure this out before I buy another SH.

  8. I'd like to make some plain old letterless mods, 'Mod 28's' not 'Mod 28A'. Anyone know how or where to get the mods without letters to RE to learn for crafting?
  9. This^ I know it's lame to hop back and forth from your ship, but I do this too. Sometimes it takes a few jumps to get all the ones I want, but in most cases it only takes a jump or two.
  10. Except I was player that had to change 7 of 8 of my names when I transferred back in June. Now that I've been established on Profecy of the Five, I have to change yet another name for some new comer. Glad I paid for the CE for early access.
  11. 1. Open Space Full, off-rails, free-flight space. Space PvP. Space exploration/missions. The ability to purchase and/or craft more ships. multi-player ships (have your friends in your turret bays) This is Star Wars after all. Bioware... this change alone will bring you subscribers, guaranteed. 2. Character re-customization 3. Name Change I would've listed things such as, dual-specs, more character slots, server transfers, bug fixes, but I know those are already being worked on.
  12. That's what I hear, and have been stating accordingly. However, my question is why? I realize we get 101% Force Accuracy (which is what I presume our taunts factor from). So, since bosses get their 10% bonus to avoid, why do we not want to get our force accuracy to 110%? Or is it simply that the 9% chance isn't enough to justify losing out on other stats? I'm just curious...

  14. Great thread. I hit 50 not long ago, and this thread has all the info I was looking for. I'm really enjoying Tankassin. I have one question about accuracy though. Do we not need any accuracy to ensure we don't miss a taunt on a boss? Or is it simply that we should be able to get and maintain threat enough, that even if we happen to miss a taunt on rare occasion that it's not worth getting to the 110% mark over adding more endurance or mitigation?
  15. why? BW doesn't allow dual boxing, so it's not like any extra slots will impact active server populations. It won't be any more difficult for BW to manage. Sure... make the server caps 16, so people can have one of each class. If they add new classes down the road, then can up the cap accordingly. The current overall account cap is 50 characters, with no more than 8 per server.
  16. /signed the only prob I have with that, is that's the method I use to gear up my companions that I didn't level with. lol
  17. or... why have trade chat, the GTN, or group finder? seriously though... what is there to "police"? A ban on the word Jawa? If it was to be policed as you suggest, then there should be no trading, nor group finding allowed in general chat either.
  18. Recommendations: Turn Channel 1 General Chat off while on Fleet. Find groups via the group finder. Sell items in Channel 2 Trade chat and/or on the GTN. if all else fails... see if you can come up with better or unique Jawa titles instead of the same repetitive titles everyone else is using over and over. All and all... it's still better than Barrens chat in WoW. lol
