  1. I did open a ticket and apparently my expertise did not naturally reset so I was getting no expertise bonuses after the patch. I reset my expertise and all is well. I have to take back most of what I said about the class changes, although I do still overheat easier, once I fixed my expertise I am back within the DPS range that most everyone is claiming still exists for us.
  2. I'd go back to SWG but they killed it because they knew no one would leave that 10 year old busted *** game for this POS
  3. Don't feel bad. Its a mechanic that doesn't exist in this game. This wasn't designed as a PVP game.
  4. Well I may have called it on myself by not describing every little detail, but please don't assume that I'm stupid. I know how to play my class and I have always used CGC with pyro.
  5. I would REALLY like to see 500k from a merc-pyro post 1.2 And although I know its possible in the right settings, its just not going to happen if you're playing a good team. And I dunno about your sever, but on mine the reps are very good and organized
  6. I know how to play. These are all things that are in my rotation, however they just don't work. I use unload and PS in my rotation and neither of them have reset rail shot once since the patch, and yes... I am using CGC. And TSO into FM was one of my main rotations but the heat cost coupled with the reduced damage make FM utterly useless now.

  8. Seriously I'd like to see who you're going up against because it is the exact opposite for most everyone else. I was topping every WZ before the patch and now it takes everything I have to hit middle of the road. I play pyro exclusively for DPS so I have no info from the mobile turret side, but pyro damage is waaaay down due to changes in heat cost. FM does jack squat now and costs 33 heat, take it off your toolbar. On top of that, since the patch I have not had 1 rail shot reset from unload or PS, so pyro rotation is VERY limited now. A decent medic can completely negate all my damage
  9. I play pyro for pvp, being a mobile turret that any good melee player can completely shut down just doesn't interest me. With all 3 points in PPA I should have 75% chance from Unload and 45% chance from PS to reset the cooldown on Rail Shot, making the next one free. Since the patch I have not had a single one be reset. Anyone else experiencing this?
  10. Post 1.2 as a pyro merc; My survivability is down, I am certainly squishier than before, and I thought I was already squishy... My DPS is down. Overall damage and spike damage are both down. Pre-1.2 was averaging 400k damage in wz is now down to 200-250k I overheat more. Mainly due to the cost of some specials that were previously in my rotation, now need to be removed from the toolbar. Several of my specials are completely useless due to heat cost vs/ damage My rotation is now quite limited because of the heat cost of some specials. Trying to use all the specials while weaving in rapid shots to stay in the cool zone DRASTICALLY reduces the overall damage output. Rapid shots hits almost as hard as some of the specials that cost 16 or more heat! Damage is the ONLY utility merc has. Lowered damage output means a merc has no chance against classes that have the options and utility to shut down the damage that mercs do. Of course I know nothing of raiding or pve, I base all my findings off of pvp and how my class compares to others, against and alongside
  11. If you can kill other (equally geared) classes 1 on 1 with arsenal spec than right on to you. You're obviously not fighting the same people I am. Any player worth his salt with an interrupt can shut down an arsenal merc with ease, and even more-so after 1.2 As a merc fighting bads... I, too, can put up high numbers and win fights. As a merc fighting equally geared and skilled players, merc fails every time. If it were supposed to be a balance issue, this last patch certainly didn't help merc...
  12. So many people so far off to either side... Merc may put up high numbers in wzs, but anyone with half a brain can tell you that numbers don't mean squat in "objective based PVP". If your team is paying attention to the goal of the match than pvp is just what happens on the side, you don't need to do ANY damage or ANY healing to win these matches. So in the end, Merc is almost useless in most of these wz because damage or healing is the ONLY utility that merc has, and that can easily be side-lined by players that know what they're doing. 1 on 1 merc is trash. period. It was trash before 1.2 and now is worse. Is it unplayable? hardly... Its just MUCH worse off than any of the other classes. My real question is WHY did merc get such a nerf? Were people complaining that merc was OP? because it wasn't. pre-1.2 we were bottom of the totem pole, and now we're further down somehow... Anyone that claims they can beat any of the classes as a merc (pre or post 1.2) is either exploiting something or playing against real bads. Yes, as far as balance goes, Merc was already at the bottom and just got shoved further down,
