Last night a couple friends and I were bored (no one to run HMs with, and really the desire wasn't there anyhow), so we decided to venture out in search of lowbies to kill.
We started at the Shrine of Healing, and locked it down for a little. No one came to help though, and it wasn't very populated (though I had to laugh at a player who decided that jumping off a cliff to his death was better than dying at our hands), so whatever, we left for Tatooine.
We basically cruised around ganking people, pressing into their bases, and being all around bad people. It was an absolute blast. The guards at these outposts have a lot of health, but can be easily healed through and even downed relatively easily (they even drop loot, one of my friends got a new epic belt last night, which is better than the luck we were having in HMs). Thanks to this, we could go into the enemy bases and kill them from within.
At one point a couple 50s showed up to try and and help them, but we managed to hold them all inside their base for about an hour, culminating in a wave-after-wave fight (they were taking the medical center spawn) that just wore our resources out. It was really fun.
I'm sure the people trying to level were pissed off, and I would feel bad if maybe that was their one chance to play for the week we ruined, but they could have brought in more 50s. Someone, trying to stir up trouble for us to fight, logged into their Imp toon and asked for help on their fleet, but were met only with the response "/cry".
What's my point? If you want world PvP, go create it. It's not as difficult as it sounds, just start pissing people off. And it's real fun, in a game that feels very "carrot-on-a-stick" at times. My only wish, maybe, is that they make more of the NPCs killable. We found plenty of Imperial captains who were green to us, I know they are probably important quest -giving NPCs, but they should still be able to die, it lets both sides create even more havoc.
