  2. Yeah BW needs to do something to stop the Kill trading because 90% of people will abuse anythign with no supervision... damn kids.
  3. I think SWTOR was never planning on having as much of thier fan base be into PvP as they have. This has caused them to have to attempt to change things as they go in order to keep them... I think they are making some good decisions, but its already to late I think. Most quality PvP's have already made up thier mind about the game(which is not balanced around them) and are just waiting for something else to come out. I personally am waiting on Dominus instead of guild wars, but we will see if SWTOR can turn it around before one of them comes out. P.S.   4. There was this one time I was the third highest person in a warzone at level 12(this was about a week ago so it wasn;t when the game just came out. The 2nd highest person was 17 and we had a guy in his mid 40's. Everyone on the enemy team was 30+ mostly in mid 40 range. It was a void star. We held them in the first door for the full 7 minutes and capped the final objective at about 4minutes then farmed the Imps for the next 3 and a half mins. Level is not that big of a deal. get better.

Some stats have diminishing return, Crit and Surge for example approach an asymptote, Crit is like 30% I think and Surge is 80%... no matter how many more points of Surge you put in you will never get over 80% because of that. Other stats like Aim/Cunning/Willpower/Strength have a lower value per point but continunue to gain no matter how much you have. I was curious is Power was like the Primary stats or not.
  6. Yeah your probably right, but I coudln;t think of a better on to put it in. I was attempting to figure out my final PvP template and deciding how much EXP vs Other stats I wanted.
  7. Does the Power Stat have diminishing returns after a point linke Surge/Crit rating does or does it have a straight line growth like your Primary Stat?
  8. Yeah I can agree with that, since that was the point of Merc commendations after all to get them from open world PvP
  9. Your moral compass doesn't just point north when you are doing a small part of your life. If it does your are facking it and its not really your moral attitude. If your a moral person, your a moral person in all parts of your life... this includes a pixelized version of it.
  10. What are you going to do about Merc Commendations? Right now the only way to get them in a 3 to 1 swap with Warzone Commendations instead of getting them from open field PvP.
  11. Thanks I think it makes sense. I just hope it would encourage people to do the more run and gun style play since it will be rewarded instead of the zerg on zerg style.
  12. Okay let me start with saying this won’t fix all the issues with Ilum but short of a massive overhaul this is a potentially good fix. First of all change the Daily/Weekly PvP quest in Ilum from Kill 30/150 players to gain 3000/15000 Valor in Ilum (please not these number will probably need adjusted based on approximate gain of valor per kill from your internal matrix’s). Now change the way Valor is received for killing players in Ilum. Instead of a static 20 valor if you did even 1 point of damage, change it to a variable factor So let’s assume that 1 kill is worth 100 valor (just so it’s easy to do the math) If your group is responsible for killing 100% of a player your group will receive the full value of the player divided among your group member/ops members. So depending on how many people you have with you will receive less rewards. 1 player kills 1 player = 100 Valor 2 players kill 1 player = 50 Valor each 4 players kill 1 player = 25 Valor each 2 players kill 2 players = 100 Valor each(total) 20 players kill 1 player = 5 Valor each It’s really easy to calculate if everyone who is involved with the kill is in an ops group together if they are not you need to assign some sort of value for what happens to the players involved to award each group or ops group or individual a portion of the reward. Okay what this does: 1. For one it makes holding the control points in Ilum extremely important. Since each of them increase your reward by 100% you will want to control as many as you can at all times because if you control all 5 control points and go out and solo kill 5 players you know have just finished your daily quest. This will help spread out the action because any of the 5 control point could be hot beds for activity instead of just the one the zerg is at and the middle. I would suggest lowering the % slightly to keep 1 side from having to huge of an advavtage over the other. My suggestion is each point would be worth a 50% bonus of the base so if 1 person was worth 100 Valor each node gives a bonus 50 valor. 2. This will help make the zerg smaller because groups will want the full reward for their kills not the 1/80th portion they get in an 80 man zerg. Ilum is big enough to support small roaming groups if they can be encouraged to leave the zerg. 3. It will help balance the republic vs imperial imbalance a little bit because even if the zergs stay, for each kill the empire gets they will have to share it with 80 people compared to each kill the republic gets they will only have to share with say 30 people. As it is right now the 80 Imp get rewarded the same for killing with 3 to 1 the numbers as the republic get rewarded when they are outnumbered 3 to 1. This is not part of the suggestion but something else that could be valuable is to give bonus valor for killing players that are high valor rank. For example is a Valor rank 1 is worth 100 Valor killing a Battlemaster(Valor rank 60) could be worth an extra 50% bonus to the base. So they would be worth 150 valor base which would increase at that base rate with the more control points you have. Thank you for reading my post, I hope it’s something you consider, and I think it’s something that could help Ilum out a lot.
  13. Yeah if they all do the same thing and form small 4 man groups and go around together they will still get little to no valor for each kill. IE if there are 80 people all in 20 full groups and attempting to kill 1 person on average we will say each of the 20 groups does 5% of the damage to that 1 guy. You will receive 5 valor. doesn;t matter if they are in a ops group or not what matters is what your 4 man group contributed to the enounter. (please not its a little more complicated that just damage done because there are other factors that would need to be taken into consideration like healing or CC for an example that don;t equal damage but are still helpful in killing someone.) This sysytem would encourage players to leave the zerg behind in order find players they can kill for 100 valor instead of having to share it with the zerg at appox 1/20th of the rate. You will see alot omore roaming groups if you do that. Groups that just roam around looking for other groups to fight because if they win a 4v4 they will pull more valor in 5 minutes that they would in a hour of keep camping.
