  1. I'm quite sure we'll have all our old companions back .... some times after the future new operation with a NiM mode.
  2. No idea, my guild left the game before we could all manage to have a full 224, we were too tired of BW's choices. Just have the Dragonslayer title from.. not sure when it was.. 2.x ? sadly never managed to have the From beyond.
  3. Well maybe he could. Maybe you could. But my team and I sure couldn't.
  4. Don't forget the human mind. People don't need the gear, they need to know others can't be the only ones to have it.
  5. Even without selling anything : getting rid of the progression teams mean there will be less people asking and shouting for new content.
  6. From what they said, no. But I don't care any more. If you're happy, I'm happy for you. I don't want to grind heroics 6 hours a day to win the right to gamble to see if I can hope to have a stuff good enough to try what I like. EA/BW made their choice, they chose to give solo players the game they wanted, that's fine for me. They also chose to try to force me to play the same way, so I just have to make my choice. That's sadly easier than I thought.
  7. I read a lot of people claiming that the now infamous hardcore raiders are going to be so significantly faster than other to earn those crates. I'm not convinced. 1 crate every hour and half, 3 crates for a NiM operation. That's not what I think it's what they said. How much time to kill the drouks NiM on Denova ? Brontes NiM anyone ? Sure that can be done. But I could earn at least twice the amount of crates just doing heroics. Second point : I'm really happy to know I'll be able to earn CXP and crates doing what I like, like gsf ... or rather, I was, until I remember that last time I tried (yesterday), I waited for 4 hours without finding a match because the server is empty.
  8. Well ... I just read on Dulfy : "The goal for a regular player getting a crate every hour, and maybe hour and half." and "If you are doing Nightmare ops you are getting them faster as well – maybe 2-3 crates per op." Sure I'm far from the best player in game but I know that when we were still raiding in June it took us more than three hours to finish a NiM operation. So .. doing heroics during 3 hours (the regular play) to get 3 crates or spend 2 evenings on a NIM operation to earn 3 crates.
  9. Well.. 2 people are faster than 1 when grinding heroics for CXP so no, group play is not really dead. (of course that doesn't help you if you don't like to grind heroics but that's another problem)
  10. You have a point but I can make a suggestion to solve that problem : decay. Mods decaying so after some times it becomes useless and you have to find another one in a crate. That way you wouldn't have to fear finding useless gear after some times.
  11. This game is far from being dead. Right now, during holidays, (just logged in to check), there are 16 players (1 gold seller) on republic fleet. And that's not even the evening. That's a lot better than on other games. Move along, those are not the dying servers you're looking for.
  12. Not a problem, the GSI droid will heal/tank for you when playing.
  13. Can you tell us if we earn CXP by killing a boss in an operation or do we have to actually finish the operation ?
  14. Depends on how much luck they have in finding the components in the crates.
  15. I mainly joke because I know my guild won't be there in 5.0 and so I don't really care what happens. If I were thinking of actually playing that galactic command thing, I would not find it funny at all.
  16. Are we sure that command points are earned when we kill a boss rather than when we finis the operation ?
  17. I hope so. As a casual raider, I don't want to see all those hardcore solo players having the best gear before me ! .... (just joking of course )
  18. That's absolutely not sure. Killing a HM (or worse, NiM) boss takes a long time. I could do a lot of heroics (more with a team of 4) in the time needed to kill let's say Draxus HM. Of course, if gc points are given for finishing the operation quest rather than for each boss, that gives absolutely no incentive to try ToS (spending a dozen hours a week wiping on Revan HM is sometimes fun but it's not an incentive) In fact, I'm quite sure that people will be quite content to just run EV/KP and maybe Darvannis and let the other operations rot. But I guess that's what BW wants to achieve.
  19. The funny thing is I think that's going to be worse than the actual system for casual players : right now, there are so few people left (on my server at least) that anyone asking politely would find a team for some story or HM op and finish his evening with 3 or 4 pieces of 220-224 gear. With that new system, sure you won't have to ask anyone for a team but you will have to grind FPs and heroics to earn your GC crate. Obviously, that won't hurt the hardcore player who can spend 6 hours a day grinding. But if you were the guy who plays 3 hours one evening a week.. well good luck.
  20. I'm quite sure those will be available in the game. You'll just have to be lucky on the RNG.
  21. There is something I don't understand. You don't want to find some team for operations and I can totally understand that. You would have to pay me to make me play ranked warzones ... but I absolutely don't care I don't have a full 208 pvp set. So why do you want the end game gear ? You don't need it to play HM FPs, Eternal championship or heroics. And if you just want the skin, there are easier ways.
  22. Galactic Command is not a bad idea. Last year I would have loved to be able to earn some gear while playing some GSF. The problem is not Galactic Command, the problem is RNG drop in crates. (well and lack of new content on nearly dead servers but that's a dead horse I'll let rest in peace)
  23. Just send a full set of best gear to every character reaching 70. Problem solved.
  24. A character use 14 items : ear, 2 implants, 2 relics, main hand, off hand and 7 armor pieces. Let's say that you only need 2 of the same implant and that a dps and a healer use the same weapons, off hands, earpieces, implants and relics. A loot table tuned to the commando would have 20 items : earpiece, one implant, one main weapon, one off hand, 2 relics and 2 sets of 7 armor pieces. That means that for my commando healer, every crate will have 7/20 items I don't want and don't need. Sure that's a better rate than the 25% for battlemaster. Forgive me if I'm still not that happy. And that's worse for the advanced class with tank and dps disciplines.
