  1. I have a question about your spreadsheet numbers when you have time. Why is line 22b and 23b so much different? The only difference at that point is one cast of infusion versus one cast of Surgical Probe...wouldn't the total healing difference between those rotations at that point only be infusion heal-Surgical Probe heal? Edit: I see now, you changed it to every heal critting. Edit: LOL you keep updating it as I am looking at it:)...great job on this again.
  2. So if using Infusion over SP after one rotation you drop into the lower tier energy regen, while using SP you can maintiain the output over many rotations?
  3. If Infusion had a raw cost of 107 and SP 87, how does the surgical probe rotation end up with 10 less energy?
  4. Nice work Sinemetu. Now can you run that with RN and 2x refreshing KP to see what happens over say 3 runs?
  5. Yes, I understand that you spam and maintain KP on melee at least 4 targets and use RN on CD. I don't think most Operatives do this. So in your case I 100% agree with you in that it may work for you. You will be using RN less, saving energy. Edit: I also suspect that with the changes to RN it will be used close to on CD as it will simply be a more effective heal single target than KP and even SP. Most of the time I can use RN to effectively heal more than one target. With the changes to TA it will make it more cost effective(by using SP over Infusionand cost changes). I honestly believe, when 1.2 goes live with RN changes, TA changes, and combat logs, most players will find themselves using RN close to on CD. IMO it is going to be that effective of a heal.
  6. But aren't those abilities needed after that rotation and before? In order to sustain Infusion in the rotation don't you HAVE to consider the full healing "rotation" both before, after, and during? you have to refresh KP and use RN(IMO due to its changes) after the rotation with Kolto Injection, Infusion, and SP.
  7. OK, I don't think I understand and sorry if I intruded on your conversation. In my mind you can't just leave out abilities that are required to use that rotation. You can't leave out KP costs every 15 ish seconds and I think RN with its improvements is likely an on cd ability or very very close. You have to take these costs into account or else I think it is just a theoretical rotation that will never be used in game. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Hopefully we will get some data soon.
  8. Why do you ignore all other abilities that will directly effect whether that rotation is even possible? Am I missing something?
  9. But don't you still have to look at RN(optional but with changes i think will be close to on CD usage) and KP(required) in the rotation? The fact that you are maintaining those abilities regularly, you have to include their energy cost don't you? Man, I just don't see RN and 2 KP refreshed every 15ish seconds and then injection, SP rotation AND infusions thrown in being sustainable....at all(thats what 50 energy just for KP and RN alone). With adrenaline Probe of course, but that is how it is done now. I have a feeling I am just a far more aggressive healer and need to ease up maybe in order to include Infusion.
  10. Are you guys taking into account KP casts and RN usage in the rotations?
  11. Have you considered this rotation with regards to KP on the tank and a more aggressive use of RN? If you have could you pls link to your post.
  12. I don't think I am overestimating it at all, its not the cost of RN its that it DOES cost. It has been reduced in price, which is awesome. But it is still ADDED energy. We already have to manage and pace our healing, now adding another ability like RN on or close to cd is simply MORE of an energy drain. You will have to address this extra cost, I think that will be done through the extra SP from the 3 TAs. I believe(my opinion) that trying to use RN aggressively AND include Infusion on a regular basis, simply won't be possible energy wise. I see Infusion staying exactly as it is now for the most part...used for burst heals when adrenaline probe is available. Where do you think you are going to get the extra energy to regularly use Infusion from?
  13. Maybe. I don't think it will work this way at all. I think the energy cost will be way way too much. I think RN has been buffed significantly, to the point where it will be used regularly. I see most extra TA procs going towards SP to work RN into the rotation as opposed to Infusion. I completely understand that Infusion is best hps/hpe ability, but the cost is still to great (IMO). Your giving up TA by using it and losing one by not using Injection. How does medical engineering increase our efficiency? All it does is save TA procs from Kolto Probe. I am just not seeing why 3 stacks of TA is going to allow Infusion to become part of the "rotation". It is still going to destroy our energy. Maybe I am missing something, I just don't see 3 stacks of TA being the magical number that will allow us to work in Infusion. I see more SP to free up RN usage.
  14. We shall see. It will be different for each person I suppose. The cost of Infusion is just too much to use without Adrenaline Probe, which is how it is used now. I see the extra TA being used to manage RN use in 1.2. You will be more aggressive in your use of Infusion, where I will be more aggressive in my use of RN. To each there own.
  15. Ahh, Ok..Same as it is now. It will likely get slightly more use as a situational ability. I just don't see it being a consistently used ability. Especially with RN changes and the same cost to Infusion. I see the overwhelming majority of the extra TA's going to surgical probe in order to manage RN. Of course, I could be wrong, and have been before.
  16. Infusion is definately your most effcient heal, that is not the problem. I don't think you will be able to maintain that rotation for more than 2 go throughs. The biggest problem with infusion is the cost, not the TA. It wil likely get slightly more use, but I think you are going to be restricted HEAVILY by cost. Edit: don't forget that RN will likely become much more a part of our healing rotation which will make energy management slightly more challenging. I suspect most of the extra TA's will go towards energy management(Surgical Probe) in order to use RN more frequently as well.
  17. Yeah, I don't PvP. So I am confident that you know best with regards to healing in Warzones. I should have stated that I am only refferring to Operations. In operations the AoE is predictable and widespread, that I believe most people over value the effect of smart heals. That could change with encounter designs in the future, but right now, I see it as very minimal. Without smart heals I prefer the range limit to 10m, it makes it much easier to control who gets it. I think they did a great job with RN changes....at least on paper.(for Operations anyway)
  18. I should have said that I am referring to Operations, not pvp or flashpoints. Yes, you were saying that it is doubtful that RN was going to be a worthwhile ability to use. I disagree with the good chance that 1,2, or 3 targets will be at full health. Most fights the AoE is raid wide or does grouped up damage where you can control RN due to its range for the most part. What fights do you struggle with lack of a smart heal, which ones do you feel you are losing heals to?
  19. Right and I could be wrong, I am just pointing out what I believe is a misconception regarding resource regen. Right now Sorcs dominate, including when they are both at 0 resource. Do sages even get to 0 force? We know Operatives do all the time.
  20. I am saying that is not true when using the big heals. the sorc actually regens faster when comparing kolto injection to the 2 sec heal from the sage. At zero energy it takes the Operative about 5ish seconds to fire off another Kolto injection while the sage only takes 4 ish.
  21. Sage actually regens quicker when spamming their big heal compared to an operative spamming Kolto injection. Not that you would spam these heals, but puts into perspective that Operatives don't regen faster than Sages.
  22. Is anyone really surprised by what GZ said? This was the standard answer I expected. They think the nerfs are better for the game...duh. So yeah, Im with you, nothing was said that that changed my point of view.
  23. [quote=CaptainApop;3582264Medical Therapy now additionally reduces the Energy cost of Recuperative Nanotech by 2 per point. Recuperative Nanotech has been rebalanced. It now has a 15-second cooldown, heals over 6 seconds, and heals for approximately 10% more than before. Transforming RN into something people would actually use or spec into was required. Nice to have tools but still doesn't smart heal so it's still of dubious use. I still think you and many others are overvaluing smart heals in this game. I don't believe it will add much to effective healing, at least not with the fight mechanics we have seen so far.
  24. Why exactly do you think it will allow use of Kolto Infusion? Nothing has changed with Kolto Infusion. I personally limited its use due to energy costs, not because of TA limitations.
  25. In most cases it WON'T be buffed 6%. It will be easier to maintain the 6% buff that we already maintained. Will be a slight buff to efficiency.
