  1. This pisses me off to no extent. after spending the last 16 days doing every F*cking boring @ss space mission to see that you can now just buy everything you need. What a freaking joke...

Actually this part is False, when the game first came out you could pull out Armoring mods from items and they were NOT slot specific, a little ways down the road, when Battlemaster gear got a slight boost during patch 1.2 in which all "endgame" armorings could now be extracted but were bound to slot. So there was a brief time where you could extract a helmet armoring and place it into a belt, but that is a thing of the past.
  4. To be fair the root is only available to merc's who are of a particular spec, what about the other merc's who choose not to be arsenal, what is your advice then? L2respec?
  5. I have played through balmorra many times, and don't recall this, not calling you a liar, as I'm sure there are possibly one or two quests I never did. However I don't think I ever came across any Quest in game that starts off as a normal quest, then has a bonus part, that later turns into a Heroic 4 (bonus from a normal quest), there are Area Quests that show up as Area 4, which are basically Heroic 4's but often the first stage or two are easily solo-able, leading into a Quest much harder if you do not have a group. Do you remember the name of the quest? Is it possible its just a regular Heroic 4 obtained via mission terminal? There are often these Heroic quests on mission terminals located in an area on the planet that's only accessible after you start the Bonus Series associated with the Planet Story Arc. edit* there is an occasion where I mistake a quest area for the wrong quest, some times the quest tracker doesn't update or I get tired and not really paying attention. This might be another possibility a simple case of mistaken quest identity.
  6. This also happens when using the group finder and being in an active space mission (in combat) not sure if that's relevant. Hit accept/travel now and Crash to Desktop. Has happened two times in the last two days same scenario.

Yea, its similar to the boa gear from wow, the only thing is you can only buy the intended gear on that character, meaning if you want to buy the Bounty hunter gear, it has to be purchased with an actual bounty hunter, otherwise you get an error message saying you're not the correct class or some junk. And each time you get another character to the end of chapter 2 you always get the main hand weapon kit., all the other kits come from the crew skills Investigation, Treasure Hunting, Underworld Trading usually from the one time use 340 mission's though its completely random if you get a legacy kit or not, usually from mission crits. Hope this helps.

  10. basically TL;DR we nerfed SM EC's BH coms by 20, but gave you 8 or so for doing the weekly, grats. and no the best way to farm black hole coms would to do everything you can in one week to get black hole coms. 7 random GF dungeons, 2 "random" operations, the Black Hole dailys at least once per week, and the rakghoul weekly, and Nightmare KP, and last but not least, doing SM/HM EC and the weekly associated with it which equaled to the ballpark of around 120 coms per week. Now that NIM Kp and SM ec don't drop them, and the chests in EC HM don't drop them, that is a significant nerf, I liked being able to gear up my alts and such, guess I'm boned now. On top of that how do you define "progression" because I think it varies from guild to guild to developer, not everyone is currently working on the HM of the new operation. Many people will still feel that the natural order of progression would be to gear up at least columi - then to rakata- then ..... You know what, I don't care, you guys messed up by having a billion "tiers" of gear right off the bat. Regardless of your " intentions " people wont mess around with SM EC any more, unless they still working on their natural gear progression to get into TFB HM, I didnt mind doing it before to get alts some quick cheap gear, but I don't see myself going back in there ever again, so grats on that.

I wish we could get those "official" hints posted here somewhere.... hint hint TBH seems like a troll post (the hints) since im sure somewhere out there some one has been datamining the hell out of 1.4, and there has been nothing as far as I know about new pets that get hatched, or a new color crystal, or something else completely new... So whats in the cave? /trollface hehe lolz well you're in the cave so w/e you took with you /duh
  12. Maybe you must enter it alone, possibly for a solo fight. (like the movie) Is there any in game item that gives you a buff that keeps you warm, that anyone can get at any point of the game?... I cannot imagine it would involve multiple people at 1 time (to activate the event), nor a specific alignment, nor a specific race/class combo.
  13. Can we get a function for the Mini map where you can Ping on it? Similar to WoW, and also the ability to write, like GW1. This helps a lot when explaining a fight to a new member or pug. Also maybe a ready check system, in order to actually see who's at the keyboard and ready to go. These things are a must for Raiders IMO.

  15. This is basically what I am getting at. SWG and player bounties fit in with that game, even though they were a bit poorly implemented, it fit in with the timeline and lore, not so much with the game layout of TOR. Basically gimme PVE Bounty missions! PLOX

Even though PowerTech's and Vanguards are regarded as "ranged Tanks" its only because they have the ability to use a weapon that has a max range of 30m, most of their threat generating abilities have a range limit of 10m or less, so in this instance using a melee weapon seems viable, again from a tank perspective, maybe not on paper who knows, regardless it would be interesting to see, gimme that. There are ways they can work around this, they seem brilliant... Giving "melee" tanks the ability to use ranged weapons is not what I had in mind. That makes no sense, just coming from SW lore, jedi/sith only use sabers, but there are other types than just the standard single handed light saber and the twin-bladed saber, you have the whip, a pike (long staff with short blade), the one with a night stick shaped hilt, I'm sure there are others... Versatility is all I want, this is Star Wars, and it seems so constricted. I am all for the 'disengage' ability, but still people could use it to jump straight back up a ramp or something (going back to someones terrain exploit), unless you are talking about a non-jump-in-the-air-and-back, type of disengage, which is what WoW has with their hunters.
  17. I understand what you're saying. Actually People should make a choice on what capabilities (aka Roles) each AC can do, and what they wish to do themselves, not on wether or not they get to use a certain weapon or ability vs the other AC. I assume when you ask "Do you want a jetpack or heavy armor?" you mean ....a jetpack or the ability to tank? because both AC's get heavy armor. To clarify I don't want all Classes to be able to use ALL weapons, rather a small subset of weapons for a bit of variety. Why can't a PT use a heavy cannon like commandos? or two blasters like a merc? or if they wanted to a vibrosword? (as a tank) Granted they would have to retool a few skills to allow them the ability to use the 30 meter rapid shots ability, I am not saying my ideas are completely thought out, but think of the diversity, this is STAR WARS ,classes in this game SHOULD be as diverse as possible, I am tired of the same cookie cutter classes, that's why SWG, IMO, was great, Diversity. A simple fix, would be the same graphic as the vanguard's charge, just make it a "rocket boot" propelled form of evasion, no need to add some ugly graphic, imo. But why? Back when they were discussing the decision behind adding each class modeled after a specific SW character, I believe the Bounty Hunter was based on Boba Fett. (back in 08) What you are saying, is like me saying that all commando's can still wear heavy armor, but it has to look like army fatigues, not the Iconic Republic Trooper's armor. Jet-packs, are notoriously used by Bounty Hunters, IMHO it is insulting that they didn't incorporate the use of the Jet-pack more into skills/abilities/ utility. Am I surprised? No, it is an MMO after all, and people would always complain about balance.
  18. So two blasters and Fusion Missile, for mercs, and jetpack and tanking for pt's. Merc's can heal, that gives them 1 point over pt's, but PT's have a grapple, so that's another point for PT's, and PT's get to use Shield generators, so that's another point, plus they get flame sweep, that's another point.... This point system you came up with is completely bias on what you like about your AC's abilities. I didn't choose my AC because I was able to use a Back propelled missile, or the fact I got to use two pistols, I chose it because of the capabilities and roles I could fill, I was interested in healing and DPSing, thats what drove my choice. IMHO BW needs to do away from the 'each advanced class gets a unique WEAPON' and instead go with 'each set of advanced class gets a small array of weapons' why should my BH be limited to either 1 pistol / shield/power gen, or 2 pistols, I hate it. I would rather have the ability to use carbines aka blaster rifles+shield/power gen, possibly even for 'tanks' the ability to use a tech staff and/or vibro blade +the shield/power generator. I would gladly give up the two pistols for some other combo of weapons.
  19. Probably just a left over bug from beta when there was green/blue mod-able items, that got changed pretty much to oranges, but coding errors still exist. Originally green/blue mod-able items weren't fully mod-able, just partially, like just the mod/enhancement or the color crystal. But during the open beta they pretty much did away with partially mod-able items and replaced them with orange items that are fully customizable. I believe the only green's that remain are companion weapons, that they come with, unless your talking about crafted greens that crit with an augment slot.
  20. Then Jango by your example is more of a mercenary, and still flew around more than Boba did. Regardless IMO the entire class needs something that makes them actually feel like bounty hunters, this would be a step in that direction. And do you realize how little damage that second weapon does? its mainly for the stats, which you also get from the shield/power generator, so that's a moot point. What makes them unique is their ability to tank, I could understand it if someone was asking to allow mercs to tank also, but no, the jetpack is the quintessential icon of the standard bounty hunter.
  21. All gear currently has a score, depending on the mods inside it. So why not come up with a Minimum Gear Score requirement for those two Operations?
  22. Yea i suppose, but I definitely don't want the Bh class to be constantly under the microscope due to people whining about getting beat'n left and right. Then every other patch there is a nerf or buff to the class due to it. Plus like I said earlier that originally fit into the story line in swg because during that time period there wasn't supposed to be many jedi, so they were hunted. Never played past NGE so couldn't comment beyond the rumored 'any player' bounty v Jedi player bounty. But IMO that sounds like a terrible idea anyway, and how would you incorporate a jedi player bounty into this game? I cant think of a good way personally, story wise, it just doesn't make much sense. Let alone non-jedi/sith bounties.
  23. OK this is going to be expensive but its the set up I use, and occasionally get 6k crits. First your crit is a bit high, drop it down to about 35% unbuffed. I am currently 34.60% crit. Raise your surge or crit multiplier to about 75%, I am currently 75.82% crit multiplier. Use both pvp power trinkets, use all Reflex augments. Raise your alacrity to around 12%, I am currently 12.89% drop the "purple" bracers/belt for an orange's and get either some rakata or black hole Reflex armorings, and last but not least make sure all your armorings/mods/enhancements have the right splits. I.E. no 'commando' armorings with higher stamina, use the good mods with high reflex+41 crit or power, and your enhancements have the good splits also, the 41crit/57surge , 41power/57alacrity , 41power/51surge and you should start to see large numbers, also use the exotech reflex stims. I am sitting with 2166 aim, and 953 power. If you like to use the actual set bonuses from the armor shells it self you can get higher numbers than I, simply because I chose the custom look and needed the 'commando' versions of the armorings on a couple pieces to complete my set bonuses. like I said its expensive to exchange crappy mods for the good ones, but its a lot better. Hope this helps.
  24. Personally I don't care about player bounties. It worked in SWG's timeline because originally there was not supposed to be 'that many' jedi running around. So it made sense that they would be hunted. IMO it doesn't fit into this game because there are way to many ways to get out of it (from a targets pov) you could switch instances, get onto your ship, go to your factions controlled worlds, many options to control the field as a member of the hunted, I personally loved the tools used by bounty hunters in swg to track their targets, and would love to see that added to this game only in the sense to track NPC's. And yes I do feel that we need something that makes our class actually feel like you are a bounty hunter. However player bounties is not the answer I am looking for.
