I thinks it's clear that if you consider post ROTJ EU that Sidious is more powerful. But if you throw out the post ROTJ eu the Sith emperor is more powerful. Disney already said that the post ROTJ EU is no longer cannon so i think that pretty much makes the Sith emperor the more powerful of the two.

The fact is Caedus did not have an affinity with sith magic. We are comparing their power so we should consider everything that shows their power. But I do agree with you when you say caedus did not perform feats on the scale of the sith emperor.

That's the most compelling argument? That Luke thought that maybe some way somehow Caedus would become more powerful then him. That is not all that solid. When you put Vitate feats against Caedus Vitate wins. All Caedus has going for him is that his uncle thought highly of his power.

If you take the time and read all the sources that Legend posted I think they clearly show that the Emperor was the 2nd strongest sith and as soon as Disney wipes out all the post ROTJ eu I think you can make the case the sith emperor is if not stronger at least on par with sidious .

I agree with S_WLeGenD the sith Emperor should be above Caedus. I don't know how anyone can read LeGends post and not agree. Also should not post ROTJ Eu be put into the same category that the op put the Ancient sith that is we do not have enough info because Disney has said that they are going to change the post ROTJ eu.

The JK killed the voice not the real Vitiate. If you check wookiepedia and the Revan novel it says that VItate's was a sith pure blood and the body that the JK kills is human. Also it is not the fact that Vitate lived for 1,300 years its the fact that he ruled for 1300 years in an empire that had thousands and thousands of sith lords trained form childhood to becaome as poweerful as possible.

I agree that Sidious was stronger than Vitiate but i dont understand why people are talking down his accomplishments. Ok whoopie, Vitiate lived for 1,300 years....one accomplishment(which really is only given, due to the fact nothing was really going on during that time period) doesn't mean that Vitiate is Sidious' superior. He lived for 1,300 years at a time when there was thounsands upon thousands of sith lords all fighting for power. Most of them were trained in the dark side since childhood. But for 1,300 years not one of these thousand of sith lords trained in the dark side form childhood could even come close to Vitate's power. I dont think there has been another sith lord that has had so many riivels and ruled for so long. Vitate was not just the most powerful sith lord of a generation but the most powerful sith lord for sevreal generations in time with so many sith lords that were trained in the dark side from childhood. I think that the fact that he ruled so long shows how powerful he was.
