  3. Almost made it to the second page before trolls hit! I mean honestly though..even the trolls can't be 100% happy with the game. I do appreciate the positive feedback so far tho!
  4. If you were the CEO of bioware, a developer, etc..actually played the game on a regular basis and could implement changes in the game, what would they be? This is more or less a post to see what the general public wants changed within the game and not what some “small” group of people they are currently getting their information from currently want. Maybe they don't even have a small group they are getting their info from..which worries me even more! Note: None of this is to be taken as a QQ, just various stuff I have noticed from cruising around forums and noticed myself in game or have heard RL friends discussing. Fix CURRENT issues in the game before working on new development -Defend the Shipment for example..I have been able to do this quest one time out of about a 100 tries. Remove it or give one of the other dailies 2 commendations instead of 1 for completing. Don't remove/change things within the game with zero warning or explanation. This only leads to players becoming demotivated to even login to the game. -As of 1.2, social items have been completely removed with no real explanation. Put in the time to do simple changes -Changing the numbers on Tionese/Columni/Rakata gear, from a programmers perspective, should take no more then an hour. Why has it not been done? -Giving different set bonuses for each tier of armor or at least every other tier of armor. Give us armor to mix and match for different set bonuses or more of a reason to get that 2nd or 4th piece of armor to complete our set bonus. -Implement some sort of damage log. Before the trolls jump on this ONE line of text in the post, please understand what I mean. I do not mean a damage parser so you can measure yourself up against your whole raid or be angry that you are getting measured up to the raid, etc etc.. All i mean is a simple log for your incoming and outgoing healing/damage similar to your incoming and outgoing chat log. Zooming to max distance for 90% of the operation fights in the game to see what kind of damage I’m doing to a boss is getting a bit on the annoying side and I know I don’t stand alone on this. In the middle of fights it’s simply FUN to be able and say “Holy crap I just crit that guy for 7k!” Most hits/heals get lost in the constant moving in fights, zooming in and out to see what’s going on, etc. -Give SOME sort of diminishing returns on stuns! In PvP I have one ability to get out of a stun. Some classes have 2-3 stuns, so even if I break out of the first one..well I’m still going to be locked down for about 5-15 seconds depending on the class. There is diminishing returns on interrupts, so why on earth isn’t there on being stunned? Also I have noticed that FULL resolve isn’t doing much of anything at this point. Implement some sort of achievements or at least an idea of how to pick up remaining codex's -Social was something that gave players something extra to put in countless hours instead of the same old day in and day out routine. It’s been made useless, so now what? -There are some various titles for completing operations in X amount of time, unfortunately my guild has been unable to complete EV without resetting (thus losing the title) due to various bugs in the past month and KP has been done in an hour and a half with no title rewarded. So even the ones to shoot for have been pretty skiddish. -The missing codex's that are under your characters codex tab..give us a little info on what datacrons were missing, how to pick up the extra titles, what persons of note were missing, etc.. Saying you have talked to 15/80 persons of note isn’t much help. And if we run around for 24hrs and talked to all of those people, do we get any type of reward? Even if it is for every 200 codex's you find, there is something you get. Something to shoot for! I won’t even touch on character balance since that is a pretty large issue. I can say, however, from a Marauders perspective and being “OP” now..I do see quite a big of imbalance across the board now. I think the issue is trying to find a balance between PvE and PvP. For anyone, i believe that is quite difficult. Completely nerfing X class and buffing X class isn’t the best option, which is about the only “fix” I have seen so far. Anyhow, some will agree and some will disagree. I just don’t see how much of this has gone unnoticed after there has been a lot of discussion about it since the first week or two of release. If you have more to add or disagree with something, then feel free to put your fingers to work! I just keep imagining if I worked at bioware, after playing the game, what I would put in the forefront of fixing compared to much of what has been done. Don't get me wrong though, I like a lot of what’s been done, but I could have lived without the legacy system or even the new operation until they fixed some of the current game issues.
  5. Precisely! Some people keep talking about bad experiences of getting kicked from raids and what not in different games for crappy gearscores or low dps/healing. Is it just me or is EVERYONE in this game in a guild? On my server it is like a needle in a haystack to find a unguilded player.. So even with combat logs, would your own guild just kick you if your dps/healing was low or would they help you out? If they would kick you..maybe you should find another guild. The benefits far outweigh the fear of people getting the elitist attitude at this point. There of course will be some people with the elitist attitudes and if your not all about that, then find a group/guild that isnt so hardcore..problem fixed.
  6. He was referring to my original post of simply a damage log. How in anyway could there be a con to simply seeing your your incoming and outgoing damage? Im not talking about a DPS meter..just a way of knowing whats going on instead of swinging your saber at a bosses feet and hoping your doing something worthwhile. Sure I can zoom to extended camera, but then there is the issue of stuff blocking the camera view when I need to move and also I can barely see my actual character at that point. If i wanted to parse my own damage then ill use biowares version of combat logs outside of the game and spend time calculating a bunch of stuff, but that helps me ZERO when im actually inside of the game and want to know whats happening with my character.
  7. For all the people saying that combat logs shouldn't be in the game, would u at least agree that a damage log of some sort would be beneficial? If you have ever fought a boss over 3inches tall on your screen, then I'm sure you have had to zoom way out to even see what is happening and also move the camera around if there are objects in your view. For most people, I doubt they like to change their camera angles constantly to see what kind of dmg their doing. A damage log would be similar to what EQ had waaaay back in the day. A log exactly like chat that just shows your outgoing and incoming dmg. If you wanted to parse your own dmg as a "combat log" then you could add up all ur numbers and the time it took to kill, etc etc.. So this wouldn't be a raid wide function. This would also alleviate having to alt tab or exit the game just to see what happened. Personally I don't see how this could make anyone unhappy and it could be a very very easy implementation with the new UI functions.
  8. In game combat logs are pretty essential to high end raiding. Even people who are against them are not going to constantly alt+tab to figure out what just killed them in pve or pvp. I'm 100% for them being in game!
  9. Another guy earlier said something to the effect of wear greens and make a bunch of alts to level up their crafting.. That kinda goes along with this. So simply put, I don't think it's my place to make the game more difficult..I pay bioware $15/mo for that. For the record I have 6 manned hm EV(not a huge accomplishment) and done cyber tech/artifice/synth weaving/biochem all up to 400 on my main just for the best in slot stuff.
  10. I get what your saying, but there are a lot of trolls lol.. I'm tired of talking about the sprint thing so I'll just say this, if the lower level people and people who like to create every class and level them to 50 enjoys sprint then that's cool..there's a lot of people who just put time into 1 or 2 characters and want more of a challenge at 50. When I see things like sprint at lvl 1 and being able to use emotes on a mount or something, it just takes away from them doing more for the community who does operations. I don't say that selfishly either..I say that because not much has been done for higher levels compared to level 1-49. As far as leaving this game. I have no desire to since I love the whole idea of star wars and what bioware can do. Would just be nice to see them put some more time into end-game material.

What part of bioware implementing something like sprint at lvl 1, which imho is ridiculous..versus implementing something worthwhile like more purpose at 50 do half of you not understand about this post? I swear most people just see the word sprint in the OP and start face rolling their keyboard with "witty ideas". Some people got my post, others just jumped the gun and responded without thinking for 5 seconds. A lot of people play this game for fun and don't want much of a challenge..some of us do want a challenge and there isn't much of a challenge at 50 if u play more then an hour a night. Does that mean we need to unsub, no, but we desire the same fun the casual players are getting.

  13. Selfish? Hah.. Are people gonna unsub because they don't get sprint at level 1? Nope Are people gonna unsub because mounts are a little to expensive? Nope Are people gonna unsub because modding their gear is a little expensive? Nope Etc.. Etc... Are people gonna unsub because high end gear is MINOR star increases with the same bonuses, pointless nightmare modes, no real reward for time spent? Over time, highly likely. I'm talking about game changing stuff being implemented. 1.2 looked promising, but I have serious doubts now.
  14. Completely agree. Would be nice to have a game where nearly everything can't be done in a a month. I'm not even a "hardcore" gamer..play a 1-2hrs a night and this was still achievable.
  15. L2read... Slower makes leveling FASTER hard. A grind for high end does not exist. If you can honestly tell me that you think it's hard to gear up in operations, then ur not clearing operations. In 2-3 runs u can go from subpar gear to full rakata. This is specifically what I'm talking about when I say "grind". There is no real difficulty for this stuff. No grind to get "x" gear to get the better version of "x" gear to get the best of "x" gear. Not to mention if u do go the tionese to columni to rakata route..well you will notice how minimal the stat increases are, so just get some basic pvp stuff and hop into a raid for rakata. Plus with no separated set bonuses, your constantly getting the same "benefits"..another reason not to "grind" for the harder gear with the better bonuses.
