  1. I rather have expressionless pandas than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoOQdU3zMzM "Payment in kisses" LMAO! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  2. A completely different species is worse than a different color human.
  3. And I guess the simple fact that virtually every single themepark MMO that was released after WoW has failed didn't phase them, right? Including WAR... Especially WAR since it was a Mythic/EA game.
  4. "Time to show you what a sith can do." and "There will be no survivors."
  5. A lot of "few" actually. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unreal_Engine_games
  6. I'll be here all week, man. You can even QQ about my posts. I don't mind. QQing is good for the soul, let it out.
  7. Stuff like that happens when you use the Unreal engine and not an outdated one like this game did.
  8. In UO, the game I played on and off from release up until 2005, there was grind but due to the nature of the games, you never felt useless. Even if you weren't maxed out on all of your skills, you could still not only participate in dungeon runs but also hold your own in PvP. Going back to the OP, I do miss that world feeling that UO had. It really was a true virtual world where people lived and not just logged in to queue up for PvP or to LFG for some instances.
  9. It probably wont but if there is one thing I know about ANet is that they, just like Blizzard, release games when they are ready. I would be absolutely shocked if GW2 has similar issues as SWTOR has right now.
  10. To me, an old MMO is Ultima Online. SWTOR is the complete opposite of that game. If UO offered you freedom in everything you do, SWTOR offers nothing but restrictions. From restricting the types of weapons and armor you can wear to the mostly linear zones with quest givers that guide you from the beginning to end. This is not an MMO of old. This is a poor attempt at a standard that was established by WoW 7 years ago, not even today's standard.
  11. That's cool. Can you ever get to those snow covered mountains and explore them?
  12. Well, there are certain parts of that game that are phased. Very often, once you're done with a certain quest chain, certain aspects of the zone change for your character to reflect your accomplishment. Then again, this game isn't in any way better in that regard. The rakghouls on Taris are still there and the cult on DK didn't go anywhere. Either way, in my opinion, it's better than every agent being Agent Nine and every bounty hunter being the champion of the great hunt.
  13. Actually, WoW did have character stories but they weren't as long as these. The death knights had their own personal story, which was actually pretty interesting. There was a quest series revolving around druid flight form, weapons for certain classes. Hunter was one of them, I think. Warriors had to do a quest to get their tanking form, if I remember correctly. The focus in WoW though was more on zone stories though. Your character was your own and you chose what story to experience by going to certain zones. It doesn't make sense that thousands of imperial agents are experiencing the same story with the same code name. But it makes perfect sense for thousands of people to help the elves in Ashenvale stop the orcs from the Barrens from cutting down the forest.
  14. I was a huge fan of BioWare and played most of their games. ME is by far my most favorite IP, I just love the setting and the story. I'm still going to get ME3 because I want to see the conclusion but I am a little worried that the story will be as cheesy as this game. Actually, I'm a lot worried...
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoOQdU3zMzM "I might, this once, take payment in kisses." LMAO! Wonderful indeed! Even WoW didn't have anything as lame as that. It's like Star Wars The Old Twilight Republic. Written by a 13 year old.
  16. Personally, I think that you should just zone into your ship when you click on that elevator button. There are some story elements in the hangars so in that case the game should load you into the hangar.
  17. I never got into EQ but if the boat travel was anything like it was in WoW, you actually got to interact with other players. Especially on a PvP server. In EVE, while traveling was slow and tedious, the danger of being attacked was also there which added to the excitement. I always used to get a bit jittery when approaching a gate in EVE, especially in low sec space. Interplanetary travel in SWTOR is a solo, uneventful run through a bunch of instances.
  18. You know that this is a game, right? We don't have jedi and sith in real life either. Hell, if we're going to use the "realism" card, space travel, even in the SW universe, takes days, sometimes weeks depending on the destination. Maybe we should be stuck in the ship for a few days while traveling?
  19. They start as level 55 in Eastern Plaguelands but their introductory quest line and zone is unique to them and phased out for everyone else. Once you're done with that quest line, you're off to Outlands.
  20. Yup. That's why it bothers me when people outright lie about that aspect of WoW. Say what you want about it but that game had multiple zones to quest in for any given level range.
  21. That's nonsense. I was there for WoW's launch and there were a large number of zones which I completely missed with my night elf character. It's funny that you mentioned death knights though because death knights go straight to Outland once they finish their introductory quest line. What's so special about Outland? The minimum level for that zone is 58 so your level 56 character couldn't have quested there.
