  1. IMHO adding more servers was not an appropriate solution to the problem at hand. Granted we are not privy to population counts at peak hours per server as much as I would love to see them. All I can say is there are other games (which I wont name) who have designed their own sets of architecture, databases, and routing techniques which allow for MASSIVE concurrent user counts with minimal lag and 99% of the time no queue's.
  2. Yes but huttball is the only one you can fight against your faction, and groups are limited to 4 man queue's. In a standard WZ match you don't have the opportunity to see, guide, train, whatever with other people and not have the looming threat of the opposing team breathing down your neck. A prime example would be you have people who are new to or scared of PVP and new their classes and you want to teach in practical ways the importance of certain skills, gear, and most importantly tactics which you simply cannot do in a dual situation. Or people that just don't understand the importance of certain things. How often have you beat your head on on your desk when your guarded healer ran off to another area to get in the fight only to be slaughtered. or visa versa. How often does your own team, or the other team become a laughing stock as every player runs around like the 3 stooges with no plan of attack what so ever. It would be extremely beneficial to be able to help, and to be helped in learning better ways of running WZ's. Yes there is open world pvp in whatever forms you choose but they are fundamentally different animals.
  3. Purpose: General fun PVP training, basic and advanced Friendly in-guild and inter-guild competitions within the same factions No rewards, no rankings, and no level brackets (it’s for general enjoyment) OPS groups up to 8v8, possibly 16v16 but I can see that getting hectic. To make it interesting allow a betting system within reasonable limits as an OPTION not a requirement. Call me crazy but I think it would be a blast. Thoughts?
  4. Just realized I didn't put this in the suggestion box area. Will report it there. Mod's please don't mark as spam.

  6. Not so much cookie cutter but something along the lines I had already thought about. A build similar to what Yojack posted with some points moved around to benefit my play style. I don’t PvP much if ever and usually run in a group for quests/raids so I focused completely on defense and threat generation.
  7. Level 35 defense base as of writing this so I’ve got the basics under control, and frankly love it. Please pardon me if this has already been asked somewhere but I can’t find it here or on the net in general. This has nothing to do with active talents, purely passive. My confusion/confliction/whatever is coming from the tertiary and beyond stats. While I know I’m playing on a shield spec character, after fiddling around with gear and mods etc I’m torn as to what is actually helping more with defense. Obviously shield based stats should in theory be more effective but I’ve been noticing that if I stack defense rating instead I will evade much more often and in fact take less damage over time. Frankly I get a laugh out of it as the character looks like it’s in the matrix. Am I hallucinating with this or is it simply because I still have quite a ways to go before the shield skills truly become effective? I’ve got very little invested in tactics, maybe 6 points out of the 8 cookie cutter and 2/2 SS and everything else in shield. It just seems (to me) that with the passive effects of the shields defense and stacking defense rating gear/mods I am a more effective meat shield.
