  1. I am delighted to confirm that nuking those two diskcache files along with client_settings.ini fixed my loading screen freeze issue. Specs: Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 13.5" (i7-1255U/16GB RAM/Iris Xe)
  2. OK so where in the current system the full set is 7K frags, 3.5mil creds, and endless RNG angst, the same set in the new post-Kai 7.3.1 will run 10K frags, 1mil creds and eliminate the RNG component? Sign me up! And, Kai, buddy, don't let the door hit you on your way out.
  3. Any ETA on a fix for this? It's the casino event and nobody on the Republic side has been able to complete the recruitment mission for a showcase Galactic Seasons companion for three months.
  4. I updated to the most recent PTS build today and did a solo Esseles run with a lvl24 Trooper/Sniper that I had made from scratch on a previous PTS iteration. All the earlier video hang/stuttering was gone. There were occasional lag spikes to >900ms, but otherwise everything played real nice & smooth. No crashes.
  5. Access worked out fine for me and the two other folks who were on this morning. Video seems to stutter a lot and hangs up for many seconds at a time, but no crashes.
  6. Last one out turn off the lights.
  7. Update 2022-12-14: Tritan mode still works best, on live now. Thanks again.
  8. What happened to the rotation feature on the minimap/overlay? That was my favorite part.
  9. Update 2022-11-22: The updated colorblind mode description/tooltips in the Graphics control panel is appreciated. Still a Protan, and Tritan mode still looks the best. Thanks again.
  10. I am classified as a "strong" Protan. I don't have much of a problem with the default UI, save that the red text is sometimes hard to read on darker backgrounds. I tried all 3 colorblind modes. Protan Mode: I very much enjoyed the near-monochrome/desaturated base UI but the red in screen text and icons was shifted too far into an electric magenta/purple color and it also made my lighter skinned human (slider value around 15) look more like a blue-skinned Chiss in the character paper doll screen. Kind of weird, doesn't really fit my color perception at all. Deutan Mode: I hated this. Kind of a green-skinned sepia tone and everything about it was visually jarring. Tritan Mode: This actually looked really good. The red in screen text and ability icons shifts to a more-readable-but-still-red color and the yellow/green highlights on the building edges and hallways in the new overlay map really pop. If all stays consistent, I imagine I would use this variant in the live game if I used any of them. Thanks for this effort. We are an often overlooked segment of the population. What I would really like is the ability to pick my own colors for more things, or at least the option to select from a larger menu of canned UI color themes. I do not mind that the chosen color palette applies to the entire UI, but more granular customization is always appreciated.
  11. Looks good. Renders great on mobile. I suppose some choice in theme and color scheme would be nice but it's not a dealbreaker. The rate limiter on reactions was a surprise, but tolerable if as you say it helps moderate gaming or exploiting your rewards program. I also see that your warning system is fully operational.
  12. PTS in a Nutshell: Ignore all testing info in the stickies. Extrapolate from facts not yet in evidence. Beclown yourself on the forums.
  13. Yes. All game scaling is temporarily disabled. It's in the stickies.
  14. I don't really ever play Sentinel/Marauder on live so my feedback doesn't come from any source of great authority on the topic . I get that Sentinel is sort of class-defined as a damage dealer that dual-wields lightsabers along with some combination of mobility, DoT/bleeds, and AoE attacks. I played Combat spec, A and B loadouts. This round of testing felt far more effective when doing Onderon dailies than the first round of Guardian testing did - and I was able to complete the Onderon weekly in one shot without wanting to /ragequit - perhaps due to the addition of a higher-level companion along with the restoration of the JK stunbreaker and interrupt abilities. Tacticals and Set Bonuses seem a bit screwy and unaligned with the default loadouts and some of the default loadout A/B choices seem rather arbitrary (not to mention controversial). But I was able to engage and whale upon multiple targets at once with two lightsabers and lived to tell the tale, so yeah: Pass.
  15. Mostly. I mean, I can to force leap to a mob and bash on it with a single lightsaber. So there's that. Yeah, the offensive rotation seems mostly OK (Focus A and Vigilance A) but the power level is completely out of whack. Onderon dailies with a lvl 1 companion = instant death to 3 standard or 1 silver mob in most cases. No stun breaker or interrupt make most fights pretty rocky. Feels very squishy like a low-level character who has wandered into the big kids' zone and gotten stomped accordingly. Running Heroics on starter planets seems more in line with the level of power in this build. Don't love it. Don't hate it. Eager to see how the discipline/utility choices unfold. I don't get some of the discipline path restrictions that have been made. Some of "choices" and omissions seem rather arbitrary and incomplete. Looking forward to seeing that onion peeled back.
