  1. It might also be worth considering that many adult players have jobs and other responsibilities. As a single guy, even I only have 1.5-2 hours to play each day. I had 4 days off during early access and my servers were full, but the areas weren't crowded. Thankfully... I resume vacation in 1 hour 40 minutes and I'm staying home for Xmas -- See ya out there!
  2. Yes. Apparently just "Yes." is too short, so I'm typing some more.
  3. If I had any to spare, I would grant you +1 Internets.
  4. Indeed. At least 3/4ths of the Skyrim town guards say this line. I guess the plus side is that if you get disabled as an adventurer, you have a second career ready as a guard.
  5. If you've been expecting a personal email to let you know what business decisions are going on behind closed doors... Keep on dreaming. Where I work I'm not EVEN permitted to admit when the computers are down (a rarity, but it does happen). You try keeping some annoyed customer calm when you're not permitted to answer them honestly and keep your job. Now. When I went to login after work today, many of the servers were polling HEAVY or FULL. I only cared about the one I was playing on (which was FULL, I might add). Sure... They stopped sending invites at 2pm, but NOOOOO we can't give them ANY time to look at the results come end of business when working folks get home and start playing. Maybe you'd prefer that your early access was removed if you didn't log in within an hour or so of the email. I guess that would keep things rolling, but the forums would be oozing butthurt for a different reason. This is a no win. Should they keep allowing access until the servers are full...and people complain... Should they let them in based on the order they entered their preorder code?...and people complain because they don't know their order in line... Or ...insert your chosen early access scenario. No matter what they do, people are going to complain because they can't shove everyone onto a medium server that's ready to go right now. Welcome to reality.
  6. Aye. Makes no sense at all, eh? (And I'm not even Canadian) ;-)
  7. 1... I was tempted, but I resisted. 3... I work in a customer service job. Sometimes, the customer is almost entirely wrong. And we do not want to help you. 5... The server populations were looking pretty rough this afternoon/evening. But despite that, my wait time to join when the server was busiest was about 4 seconds. Please everyone, do not get your panties in a wad over this. I do have work tomorrow...and the rest of the week. Be playing at lunch, though. Hooray for working from home! Woot!
  8. I'll give Bioware an B+. Could they have communicate a little better? I guess. But really, it's the way companies deal with things. If one person is having an issue it gets moved to the bottom of the job stack behind the issue 100,000 people are having. I believe they're really trying and most people that are complaining barely have a leg to stand on. I was in the first group (Can you tell?). I have had ZERO lag issues. I have had ZERO gliches. Wait time to get onto my server? None. No problems whatsoever. I still want to know what we're supposed to do if 12/20 comes and our physical box hasn't arrived. I was hoping they'd let me buy a 30-day to cover the gap, but no dice so far. I'm willing and able to pay... Just let me do it, guys. You want my CE CD-key...and I want to give it to you... But I can't until it gets into my hands. People who were confused about when they'd get to play... I have no clue how you got the impression that it was gonna be a free-for-all starting today. It's a staggered release for Bioware's benefit, not yours. It makes sense and it sucks to be the ones left waiting, I get that. How many more people would be raging if on release day you couldn't even connect to a server because of all the traffic? Maybe that will still happen. But the early release let's Bioware see the ACTUAL server demand and adjust things accordingly. It's not really a stress test. We did that in Beta, we know what the servers can handle... Now it's all about how many users do they need to be ready to serve? How many of those pre-orderers will be be there round the clock taxing those servers? Me? I'm off to bed. You can have my open slot on Lord Adraas until 4:30pm EST tomorrow. ;-) See you then and thanks Bioware... You've exceeded my expectations.
  9. Yeah... The confirmed there is no grace period, but I haven't seen an official answer on what to do to keep playing at 12:01. I figured they'd let us buy 30-days of time to wait for the box to show, but no dice. It won't allow you to buy time without a registration code. So... Origin... I can has my CE now, plox?
  10. Hi. I am Chris and I'm not shy. I'll be even less shy in 1 hour 25 minutes when I get off from work and can pour myself a glass of wine and resume playing my level 4 Rattataki Sith Inquisitor. Toon is Kaidan on Lord Adraas RP server.
