I am curious about this as well. Haven't heard anything about any of the top guilds getting in.

I know this is completely off topic, but I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading this thread. I've been so disappointed with the community so far with how stuff like this is handled. Props to the OP here. You accepted the fact that you were sucking and were open to advice. Often times I read posts and see the OP of the post complain that something is impossible or can't figure out what is wrong, but then totally disregards any advice people give him.

I honestly came in here thinking he was wanting the heroic 4's renamed to heroic 2's because they are so easily done with 2. Such a shock to find him wanting them even easier, especially as a sorc.

OP, the infernal council drops boots. Master Looter should supposedly be fixed in today's patch. Not sure why you were running with master looter before the fix was in place though...

SWTOR is my first MMO experience. I am new to the genre, but I enjoy this game a lot. Some people here have made some valid points that I'd not considered. Others have been childish and rude for reasons beyond any intelligent person's comprehension. I do have mixed feelings about the way the new content in 1.2 is being tested. Someone said that it seems like I want no one to test so that everyone is on an even playing field. I'm not sure I like that idea as I'd prefer as bug free of an experience for everyone. Fewer bugs will hopefully lead to a more prosperous game and that benefits me as I love the game. My ideal solution is to give all guilds the opportunity to test it. I realize the mechanics for allowing the character copies to the PTS aren't fleshed out yet and they have to do it manually, so that really isn't an option here. Hopefully it will be around for future content patches and this won't be an issue at all. I was merely pointing out that it is in issue right now with how they are doing it in 1.2. A lot of you have more experience with how MMOs have handled stuff in the past, and I was generally hoping for a more mature discussion on this issue to alleviate my concerns.

I care. I had fun racing other guilds. I really like this game a lot and I'll have fun with it regardless. Pride might be at stake. We've made a name for ourselves on our server and I do sorta like knowing that our guild is in the top 10 in the US. If we get accepted and maintain or improve our ranking, it will feel somewhat hollow to me. If we don't get accepted and our ranking goes down, I'll feel somewhat cheated. In the end, you are right it is a game and I enjoy, but competition just adds to it.

I'm not a WoW player at all and I'm a bit upset by this. I had a lot of fun doing competitive progression in this game and look forward to continuing it. My guild was one of the first 15 guilds in the world to do 10/10 NM 16 man and we had a lot of fun racing some of the other guilds on that list. We applied to test 1.2, so either we get in and potentially have an unfair advantage over others that don't, or we don't get accepted and are put at a disadvantage. I realize once everyone is allowed full character copies to the PTR, that this won't be an issue. I am just pointing out that for the 1.2 content, it is.

Without allowing all guilds an opportunity to test 1.2, it gives an unfair advantage to those who are given an opportunity. They will have maybe 2 weeks or more to learn all the boss fights while those who aren't allowed in, will be behind.
