  1. Has this issue been dealt with? I'm having the same problem - I haven't run a repair in a while - I know EA has a terrible reputation when it comes to fixing bugs
  2. Thank you for coming to discuss your issues regarding the complete lack of lag. I would be very happy to help you with your non-lag issues. Let us go through an amazing list of other issues you may not be having: Pregnancy? Hemorrhoids? HIV? Schizophrenia? Alzheimer? Indigestion? High-Blood Pressure? Diabetes? Bad Credit? Marital Problems? Erectile Dysfunction? Male-Pattern Baldness? Yeast Infection? Lactose Intolerance? Loud Neighbors? Disrespectful Children? Long-Distance Telephone Charges? 401ks? Drug Addictions? Sleeping Disorders? Gambling Addiction? Athletes' Foot? Irregular Garbage Pick-ups? Morbid Fascination with issues that you are NOT having with Star Wars: The Old Republic? 3. Thanks for this info - you're at the top of Google when searching for that question, and you answer it beautifully. +50 internetz
  4. Hiya! Founder, left game for quite a while, back again and enjoying stuff. My passions are levelling/story, crafting and then group content and end-game. The Starfighter stuff is pretty good too, I'm just starting to get into that. I'm not a fan of PvP normally. I'd love to find a stable guild with a fair-sized membership (more peeps = more opportunities to do stuff). I am game for raids, but I'm not a fan of real high-challenge content. I'm here to ENJOY the game, not to grind or pound my head against the wall. I prefer DAYS (North America, EST), though I'm available most evenings as well - joys of disability. I really want to emphasize how important CRAFTING is to me. If you don't have at least one Professor of Everything Crafty, then I'll have to pass on your guild. I want to be able to make (virtually) everything craft-able in the game. Thanks for reading my post, and have a great game!
  5. ... and refund me the THOUSANDS OF CREDS I wasted on duplicate recipes. For that reason alone, I suspect they will do something fancy to provide them with a Raison d'être.
  6. Slicing gets you Prototype & Artifact quality Augment components, as well as some recipes and ALL CRAFTING MISSIONS (very, very important!) My Number One job for SCORPIO, my only companion with a Slicing Crit Bonus, is to farm Moderate missions for crits that score Crafting Missions. For Grade 6 Artifact quality ingredients, it is the EASIEST way to grind for those! Armstech ALSO makes off-hand items for some classes - vibroknives and shotguns - and some unique weapons for companions - ... what's-it that Qyzen and Vector use?
  7. Here is the whole question: How can I make SOME credits from BASIC crafting (leveling) WITHOUT selling ingredients, spamming missions or wasting a lot of time running around 'farming' ingredients? I have seven characters, and I am leveling up my crafting as I go. The aspect I enjoy most about crafting is creating gear for my toons as they need it. Currently, I have a lvl 50 Artifice/Arch/TH, a lvl 50 Armortech/SLIC/UT, a lvl 42 Cyber/Salv/UT, a lvl 30 Bio/Bio/Diplo, and the rest are all low level. I have one point of duplication - that being Armstech (or *mech - can't remember). I use my Slicer to grind missions for everyone - they help to get artifact ingredients. I do sell some missions, but I'm not clear on the best ways of making money. Now - everybody knows, the game is dynamic, and what made creds yesterday won't (necessarily) work today, and so-forth tomorrow. I'm just looking for some general ideas, because I'm SICK TO DEATH of running dailies for creds for crafting! As with EVERY OTHER MMO, SWTOR punishes crafters. I don't wish to waste huge gobs of resources testing different approaches, nor do I want to spend ALL MY TIME grinding missions and crafting. I enjoy LEVELING most in the game (end-game sucks straw - nearly as bad as PvP *shudders*). I thank you in advance for your CONSTRUCTIVE feedback ... and apologize for my whiny *****y attitude.
  8. Can't wait to see that. Heroics are so "hit-and-miss" right now. Sometimes I can get a good group simply by asking once. Other times I have to spam to get a mish-mash of three damage and one off-tank. I hate to say it, but I miss WoW's cross-server "dungeon finder". It was fast, and sometimes that's all I really want. I wonder if they could arrange that for Heroics? ... And for those who want to preach about 'community,' don't bother. The VAST majority of people I have grouped with are barely able to grunt in chat. No chat, no community. Its really that simple. Get the quest done. I will sit and listen to the whole story - I don't give a crap if they space-bar through the whole thing - they still have to wait for me. That, and the servers are very sparse these days. Any suggestion that a new update is going to solve that problem is wishful thinking. More likely they'll have to condense some servers. Is it just us, or are most servers 3/4 Imperial and 1/4 Republic? When is 1.2 coming, anyways? Last time I was on test server, there were a few idiosyncrasies, but it was mostly tuned. Is April still a good possibility, or has it moved back? Any guesses?
  9. I've been running the Belsavis Daily Heroic with a group in order to help them get geared-up. I haven't been able to get into HM FP yet - mostly because I want to run them with guildies ... who aren't geared-up yet. So, the Belsavis H4 "The Stasis Generator" is a fun run. Nice practice for dealing with stunning and mob-healers. The Champ's are pretty easy ... up until "Stands Tall". I don't know if anyone has noticed, but all the guides go about saying "Oh, you can solo this quest ..." which I routinely do on my Shadow Tank. However, for our purposes of working together, I'd really like to take this guy down. If we can defeat this mob, I feel we stand a good chance of completing Taral V HM. Right now, we can't DPS the big droid (forget his name). Our group consists of Shadow Tank (me), Sage-healer, and two Sentinels. Builds aside, does anyone have any advice on defeating "Stands Tall"? We get him about 3/4 down, and then the healer runs out of force. We interrupt his Heat Ray and Project Storm because they do a LOT of damage. In order to be sure to get those attacks, we don't interrupt the others. There are problems with "Line of Sight" because of bugs with the grate, so I tank on one side while the Sentinels attack his back. The Sage has to come in close to keep "LoS". Now, I'm holding the agro fine. I'm the only one taking damage - but I'm taking a LOT of damage. I have 35% mitigation (Shadow Tank) with 25% Defense, 22.5% Shield and 67% Absorption. Normally, I can tank bosses just fine - but this guy is nuts. What am I missing?
  10. Lvl 40. There are people who are skipping story to get through the game faster. As well, the player does NOT have to complete all the regular questing to advance. The use of Flashpoints, daily Heroics and PvP can greatly accelerate your advancement. I have played approx. five days worth of this game time so far: and that's /playtime. I was in two beta weekends, so knew the entry-level routes, which helped a great deal when sorting out quests. Its all about time, tactics, and exposure. If you've been through the content already, then you know what to expect - even if you aren't skipping the scenes. But there is A LOT of content - more than enough for multiple runs. Without skipping voice!
  11. While waiting for SW:TOR to release, I became desperate and rejoined WoW. I hadn't played the game in a few years, and wanted to see what Cataclysm looked like. I downloaded the demo and gave it a try. They have stream-lined a number of the old areas and made them much easier to play and level. They incorporated a number of the add-on features into the regular game. I was impressed, so I re-bought the game and started over fresh. And then Halloween came. What a nightmare. Over and over and over that obnoxious flying guy burning down Goldshire (or whatever its called). It was now a perpetually chained event, which meant that NO ONE paid any attention to it. But you could hear that stupid NPC voice across the whole region. Incentive to level even faster! Within an hour I HATED anything Halloween. I was completely annoyed by the whole holiday. My greatest thrill was finding out that Early Launch would begin BEFORE the WoW Christmas brain-bashing would begin! NO to celebrating Real Life Holidays in Escapist Fantasy Worlds. That is an EXTREMELY BAD idea. If you don't have your brains beaten numb by all the absolutely cynical media drone on every single holiday, then you are already numb. DO NOT PUT ANY RL HOLIDAY RECOGNITION INTO SW:TOR! Thanks
  12. ... launching the game is no excuse for not completing the Timeline series! (j/k) But seriously though, I just want BioWare to be aware that I'm still waiting for the rest of those really cool vids. They're nice to watch while I'm sitting in the queue, waiting to get into the game. Thanks again for an amazing game. And don't forget to launch more Timeline videos!
  13. I'm just finishing up Tatooine now, and I've turned down a couple opportunities to group up, but by far, it is much harder to get Heroic 4's done in SW:TOR than 5 man dungeons in WoW. The chances of running into a bad group after a five minute wait in WoW are much lower than my chances of getting ANY group in five minutes in SW:TOR. I would rather have an annoying experience and get the content done than miss the content all together. I don't sit in chat going "LFG ... LFG ... LFG ..." Instead, I play the game. If I out-level the content, then I don't play. I play much more of the game than anyone else in my guild. My main is the highest level character in our guild of 60+ characters and 30+ players. They aren't on most of the time, and I've left them all behind. Now, of course, the traumatized WoW veterans will say "so play the game differently so you can group with your guildies." This is the wrong answer. The RIGHT answer is to make a cross-server tool that will group players in a queue for Heroic 4s and Flashpoints. Just stick with the RIGHT answer and forget about the way things were in the old days.
