  1. I'd go with farming companion gifts, personally I buy those pretty often and it seems like there's an at least somewhat decent market for them (although the way the GTN searches for them hurts). Yeah though, I'm in the same position - I've just gave up and send my companions out to keep slicing.
  2. Missions have both a minimum slicing requirement and a minimum level requirement, so yes more will be available. Although there are a limited number of missions per mission class.
  3. It only really works once you get multiple classes of missions available, when you only have class one or two missions available, you may very well run out. Unfortunately, this is most notable around class two, when leveling the skill can actually lose you money.
  4. This. I was under the same impression as the guy who suggested doing lower level rich/bountiful missions for a long time, then I found out I got new missions based on level not just skill requirement. Just wait, more missions will open up in class six.
  5. Honestly, given there are already points in the leveling process (most notably right around when you hit the second class) that result in a slight net loss rather than profit I'm banking on slicing being a skill not worth taking if they nerf it any more. However, as someone else mentioned - it doesn't matter that much to me either way at this point, I already capped it and I'm sitting on enough credits to be comfortably certain I'll be able to buy my final speeder. I will say that nerfing it is a foolish idea, given that the relative buying power of the credits acquired by slicing will rapidly drop in the next few months resulting in it being only useful for people leveling a character for the first time shortly anyways.
  6. Pretty much this. Since the OP specified "book" this one is easy for me... Traitor It's not only my favorite Star Wars book but in my opinion one of those rare books whose writing alone stands out from the crowd. The opening/ending haunts my head even now.
  7. This was a useful thread, I'd actually been selling my orange items due to running into this bug repeatedly. I'm now dressed in an ugly mismatched mess, but I'm glad to hear I can fix it.
  8. There's a dip at class 2 rewards, and on top of that remember that sending out for Rich yields is always better money wise than lower level yields even of the next class up. That said, it gets better. A lot better. I'm at 400 slicing, and despite not being high enough level to access the rich yield missions for class 6, I can still easily pull out 20,000 credits or more an hour just sending my companions off on class 4/5 rich missions while I level.
  9. Class six has always (so far, not maxed companion affection yet) yielded an Ancient Small Credit Case. Also, the highest offered yield is abundant regrettably although it produces the same thing anyways. To give you some idea of the difference here, I just logged on and collected the rewards from the slicing I started before logging off, I'll go ahead and post them although I only sent one companion out on a class 6, and it was apparently not the abundant quest. Plug the Leak, 2V-R8, Moderate Yield class 6, cost 1,415, reward 1477, time 31m 12s The Fly on the wall, Mako, Rich Yield class 5, cost 1930, 6,405 reward, time 29m 28s Pointing Fingers, Gault, Rich Yield class 4, cost 1250, 6,128 reward (and Mission Discovery: Scavenging 340), time 19m 22s Note: I checked TORhead to confirm the yield types on these, and realized that apparently the reason I don't have access to higher yield class 6 missions is my level - I'm only 37. So later on class 6 will apparently be better. P.S. I'll go ahead and edit in the proper time/cost for Plug The Leak in about half an hour. Edit1: Due to forgetting to note purple mission find. Edit2: Entered the exact values for cost/time on Plug The Leak.
  10. An excellent idea, I actually made a thread yesterday noting the strange variances in profit efficiency between middle and high levels (namely that level 49-50 slicing is much more inefficient, providing lower returns at longer times) and was wondering if anyone else had observed it.
  11. It doesn't appear more frequent (however I have not admittedly been checking). Also, I now to seem to pull mostly purples, I actually don't recall the last blue I got. Given the total disinterest on the AH though they're still vendor trash regardless. Interesting idea however, I hadn't really considered it might be an intentional decrease.
  12. Click the small arrow on the bottom left of the UI above the summon companion button, this opens the crew window. Then to the right of the companion's portrait you want to send out hit the square button labeled with the skill you wish to use to open the menu for those missions. Aye, the mid tier missions with a bonus to slicing companion are excellent. Put in a bit over 1k, get out up to 7k in about twenty minutes.
  13. I've capped slicing and been sending three companions out continually to fetch me boxes of credits, as a result I've observed something that confuses me. The final tier of slicing has delivered to me a benefit of around a few hundred to a thousand credits for thirty minutes out. However, lower tiers will deliver upwards of two thousand credits and take anywhere from five to ten fewer minutes to do so. This may possibly be due to seemingly being limited to small credit cases on the highest tier. I'm curious as to whether this is limited to me only or if other people are experiencing this - I'm also curious if anything else is affecting it. I am intermittently raising my companions affectations levels to see if that improves things, but so far no result.
  14. This quest is currently bugged for me (happened during the Taris memory leak area), and will not display on the map resulting in me not knowing where to go next. I'd appreciate it if anyone who was on it (or who had finished it) could give me directions or screenshots on where to go to finish the quest. I am currently on the section requiring me to go the Republic Satellite Outpost. Edit: Nevermind, used reset quest. If anyone else has the problem I suggest doing the same, as it tracks after this.
  15. Aye, I logged off for the day as the highest level on my server and was only 20 (that was about half an hour ago). I expect to be beaten to 50, but noone playing without abusing some form of glitch is that high.
