  1. Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not. Anyone that plays this game has the option to meet a few people and get a voice communication program. If you choose to not want to play as a team that is your God given right, I disagree that the people who want to have a more competitive game should be the ones punished because others do not want to play like that. None of the people that are for 8 man Q is asking BW to force everyone to Q as 8. We just want to have the option. Oh just incase you were not being sarcastic... I have all of those things you mentioned I am married with a child AND I am part of a PVP guild that plans to have enough people on to Q as an 8 man team. . 8 man Q has already been confirmed, the problem is they are going to add rateds and not have 8 man Q as an option at the begining. THIS IS A MISTAKE!!!
  2. I was watching it as well. This could be game changing!! So happy to hear this finally!
  3. I am watching live feed and Gabe just said UP TO EIGHT CAN Q!
  4. Not only is this statement true but there is more to it then that. Even in most cases a decent 4 man group is going to roll a full pug group, which for most competitive pvprs also becomes boring. On top of that you have the people who prefer to Q alone coming to the forums and complaining and or making posts about premades having it easier...
  5. Any chance you would like to elaborate? Do you also feel that there should only be 4 man PVE flashpoints and no raids? I do not believe that ANY competitive PVPr feels there should ONLY be 8v8 Qs. I also strongly feel that there shouldn’t ONLY be 4v4 Qs or flashpoints. Some will argue that people who have the ability to run with 8 other friends in a strategic environment should not get an unfair advantage. This is not what we want. I do not believe that anyone who is FOR 8v8 Q wants to battle against those who Q solo or in groups of 2 or anything but another 8v8 group. If people want to solo Q they should have the right, just as people who have the option to Q with 8 should also have that right.
  6. I feel the balance of this game is on point, sure the resolve bar is a little off and some of the skills don't work as intended. But in general I feel that it is balanced. Tanks work in PVP, healers are not OP, and ranged classes are good at range yet squishy when melee gets on them. Melee vs. melee seems pretty decent. I do not find that crowd control is out of control. Wzs I feel are evenly matched when it comes to death matches and objectives. Open world pvp when the ratio is 1:1 seems fun and exciting when it’s not a lag fest. The idea of customizing your gear to fit your roll in PVP is above average. This is obviously my own opinion, I could make an equal list of things that are wrong with PVP but I don't see that different then any other game I played regardless of how old that other game is. I do not find the PVP system, perfect or do I feel the end game pvp gear progression is the best planned out. I just feel it does have potential if the next few months bring positive changes. I do not remember reading anything that implied the devs didn’t expect pvp to be as popular. Honestly if memory serves correctly I remember just the opposite. Specifically the most recent interview that is around these very forums.
  7. There will always be speculation when it comes to games, either before they get released or after launch. To most of us some of these wants and concerns are basic and should be simple. I am trying to remain positive because I feel the game has potential to be what most of the PVP community wants it to be. Hopefully enough people will voice thier concerns and someone somewhere over at BW will notice and put and end to the guessing game.
  8. I do not know how many other true PVPrs feel but I am well aware of how my guild feels. I have watched interviews, read blogs and posts about all the upcoming changes. One thing is missing and I would love some sort of confirmation. My simple question: Will rated warzones allow eight players to Q together? If the answer is no I can tell you with full confidence that you will see 90% of the competitive pvp community cancel and move on from this game. One interview I watched with some pvp dev said that they are trying to push for an E-sport type game and that after cross server Qs start they will have seasons. Unfortunately there has yet to be any information regarding the concern I have mentioned. I am unaware why it has not been confirmed or denied but IF the PVP dev team does not realize how important this is then they really do not belong making PVP decisions. To expect competitive PVPrs to Q with random people that may or may not have the same plans objectives or even skill levels is bad mojo...
  9. Can't tell if you are serious or just messing around. But I think everyone is in a rush for 1 of 2 reasons. First they are not that good at pvp and want to get a leg up advantage to those who can't play as often, Or second they are skilled pvprs and want to be on even ground with everyone they come up against so they don't get stomped by someone below thier own skill level. The game is very gear dependant. You can't come out in blues and face a BM geared player and expect to have a chance unless he is playing with his left foot and is partly blind. Most, I assume of are the mindset that well I can't beat em, may as well join em. Most of these people that are only going for the shiney epics to feel some sort of accomplishment will more then likely get stomped when they no longer outgear 70% of the server. Then all that will be left is the pvprs that only got the gear so they could stand thier ground and play the game in a competative battle.
  10. Wow I thought my sarcasm was pretty obvious. I do admit I did miss where the OP said anything about expansions, but the game is not beat just cause you have all the gear. I honestly feel it opens up more competative playing field. You want challange right, you want things to be hard and not faceroll? Well in pvp during the gear grind and even pve for that matter its up and down, sometimes its easy sometimes its a little more challanging. Usually this goes hand in hand with where you are at for a gear level compared to your opponet or the content you are currently running. I am mainly referring to pvp here. I would much rather enter a wz and face somone 100% equally geared as me or a little higher geared then me. Why because it gives me more of a challange. At that point it comes down to more skill then where you are at with gear. Once you have full Battlemasters gear you are going to absolutly destroy brand new lvl 50s, that to me is not very challanging or entertaining. But when everyone is at gear cap do you really want to go through that all over again? Why does it seem everyone needs some sort of a reward for thier time? I play the game for fun, and for the challange and competativness of PVP. I want an equal playing ground where me and x number of my friends can go up against an equal number of other players and battle it out. I do not play so I can continuously grind and grind and grind new gear. I did that in wow and it was painfully boring after a few months let alone 4 years.
  11. MMORPGS never have content updates, patches and or expansions. You are correct after you get the top tier level of gear that is in the game right this second, there will never be any better gear or any other progression available for you. Sorry to disappoint please move along. You didn't fall for thier trap, BW never planned for this game to last beyond 16 months for those who want to re-roll 8 toons, and even less for those that do not like to roll alts. They created this entire game with zero plans to update, fix, patch and or expand. Is the path to get top end gear short? Yes I agree it does not take that much time to get full champ, or full BM. But I personally prefer to use the gear that I grinded for out on the field of battle or in open world for a few days or even weeks before I have to restart the entire grind again. This is for PVP gear, I understand that PVE should not be fast and or have more content added if people are smoking through it in two months.
  12. Hmm, i guess as a Jedi Shadow, I should revisit my trainer and learn force leap... OH wait, If you consider yourself the best PVPr on your server and you are confusing classes then I would suggest rerolling on another server, mainly to play against people that are much more skilled with the game mechanics and specifics of each class. You are saying that one class is hitting you for so hard and are referencing skills that the class does not have. Shadow/assasins have one gap closer as deception/infiltration and that is force speed. Depending on spec the CD is 30 secs or 20 seconds. If you see a jedi leaping through the air then you are fighting a Knight/Warrior. Easy way to tell is are they using a doublebladed saber, two one handed sabers or just one main hand saber? Tank spec'd Shadow/assasins do have a force pull as a gap closer.
  13. Its situational but I use this skill often in pvp, Usually on a focus target. Be it a 2v1/2v2 fight, when im trying to stop someone from getting to a door, or to take a healer out of a fight while I kill someone else.
