  1. So we're talking just about WH not EWH? I agree WH isn't hard to get with comms, but all difficulties are relative Here, let me set up a chart so we don't get confused Valor Level Less Than 70 (Only) < 70 Valor (Only) < Valor Level More Than 70 (Only) < Getting Legitimate WH Now < Getting Legitimate EWH Now I'm opposed to anything move "To the left" in difficulty on this list. Remember, Getting Valor is intrinsically 'cheaper' than comms, because we all will be max valor eventually if we keep playing, and will get all such perks for free. EDIT - Chart modified to include "(Only)" signifying a lack a spending Comms.
  2. ... still not really sure why you want the mods, but I have no quarrel with you there. It's just the shells that I disagree with you on (although I have no problem with the current schematic boxes, of course).
  3. That would certainly be cool. Agreed, it'd be unfortunate to get another one you already have. That happened enough the first time, lol
  4. I'm glad to see people agree with me here that this kind of seems like it's going back on the understanding they gave us (and then skipped stuff to grind for it), which is uncool. I'd still be for another "Rakghoul Plagued THEMED Event" though, I just don't want to have dropped what I was doing to get Contaiment Officer and the Armors just to have them go back on 'their word'. It was ok with the Gree Event because that's how they announced it ahead of time. It would be less cool to change the pre-existing rules on the old-events - and it's not like they couldn't use some of the old tech.
  5. Wait ... you ... just want the mods? I have no problem with that, I thought we were just talking about the shells, but ... why would you want them? Did you hear about the changes to the bolstering system? They'd end up working like level 12 green items or 'nakedness'.
  6. I fail to see what the level increase has to do with anything here, but I agree that it will get arguably harder to get the same WH look when 2.0 hits. I'm fine with that - the same thing happens with event armors to a much greater degree. What I'm not okay with is them becoming easier - and let's face it, valor requirements are easier than comms. Valor only ever goes up, and when you reach the appropriate level, you can have an infinite amount of whatever you want at that level forever. I'm also not okay with crafters having territory currently assigned as 'theirs' (post-2.0 WH look) being stolen away. So unless there's some clever way to pay a crafter with 3,000 ranked comms I can't think of, I think the best solution is to equate the EWH colorings with event armors and Ranked PvP recolors. The model will still be available for you to color-tamper with in whatever systems the game allows you to. (If this is just you personally want a full EWH colored outfit before "the bell", just get the chestpiece and color unify ) You see you're taking something people have already worked towards and are making it easier again, that's exactly what I object to. These valor levels are already live and set, people have already been putting in / have put in the legwork here. Lowering them to "make room at the top" is definitely something I oppose. I don't think they're unreasonable, and more importantly, I think they're already established, and I don't think they need to be lowered in order to make room at the top to eventually give away an achievement coloring to everyone whose been playing the game long enough essentially for free (since valor works like exp, not like comms). No, that actually depends on how dyes are implemented. The reddit thread already has a conversation going about this. Presumaby, it would not be a "free-for-all" of color dyeing.
  7. Can you propose a model that is consistent with the existing "Giving them to crafter" system we've already established and doesn't make them easier-to-get than they were when people achieved them "as achievement looks"? EDIT - Wait, shouldn't we be doing this in YOUR thread, rather than hijacking this persons as a copy? lol
  8. Agreed agreed agreed Agreed agreed agreed Agreed agreed agreed Agreed agreed agreed Agreed agreed agreed.
  9. I think I have about 20 left over. The question is just do they buy the old things or new things?
  10. ^^ This. If you want the model saved, let's just introduce a new recolor of it. Everyone's happy.
  11. *sigh*, Do we really need ANOTHER thread on this. 1) PvP armor models are ALREADY being kept available in game. We've already established they go to crafters. That gives you the actual model. The recolors are a PvP achievement that take a fair bit of work, so they presumably won't (shouldn't) get handed out just like Ranked PvP colorings, but feel free to go color unification crazy (also see hints TORWARS.com potentia future armor dye system). 2) T/C/R, though, has an argument for saving it. People have debated this in many other threads. Personally, I like the idea of a new "Golden Tionese" set to replace them, but that's just my opinion, and if you want others - please go to the one of many other threads where we are already discussing this.
  12. This logic seems a bit backwards to me (I'd say it means more), but I'm willing to admit we might have a different context here. Giving out the Elite War Hero colorings is something that I just can't think of a good way to do. If, as a smuggler, for example, I wanted to get the EWH coloring JK Med-Armor chestplate (I don't, but let's pretend). I have to put in ALOT of work to get that. In fact, I have to divert so many comms to it, that I can't see any valor-level check as even being adequate, (as everyone who pvp regularly gets infinite valor eventually in the hypothetical, and then gets the armor for free as a side effect of working to other ends). I stunted my own progression for this, and now it's a free-hand-out? Seems a bit unfair. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against preserving the PvP armor sets - I just like the system we already use (using schematics to move it into crafting). We've already establish specific recolors as 'achievement' colorings with regards to PvP gear though, and I can't think of any fair valor requirement to get that 'achievement' handed out to you for free when you reach. Valor caps at 100.
  13. I don't think we need to add different schematics just for the different existing recolors. Saving the model should be sufficient. Let those recolors be rewards for people who PvP'd during that time period (PvP recolors already have to be at least partially exclusive due to Ranked Recolorings) Besides, you could always play with the colors via color-unification or ... ... hey what's this?
  14. People have already ground tons of valor just to be able to wear those. It seems really unfair to lower the requirement NOW. I think PvP armor sets are already preserved in a good fashion through the schematics, and based on the effort people do to achieve those looks while they are live, I don't think valor requirements are un-reasonable.
  15. I actually want them to be removed, but we had a big old conversation about Tionese/Columni/Rakata in another thread, and I think the best compromise was, much like they have the "Golden Scalene" in the model of the Gree Armors, is that they introduce a "Golden Tionese" set. That way the models are preserved, but the Early Era Ops rewards are still a momento of, well, completing Early Era Ops when they were max level. - NOT Signed, but with a proposed compromise. These models are already preserved in game. They are craftable. It would be unfair to change the system on crafters / people-grinding-valor for them now.
  16. So, in a move I know will make alot of people happy, it would appear that the Rakghoul Plauge is coming back Being the big old grumpy-pants I am, I have to admit I'm less than thrilled about making it so event items and titles are no longer really momentos of a specific time and place anymore (I'll avoid using the word "Event" since it's not really "An Event" in the same way I thought of it any longer), assuming it gives out the exact same rewards as the previous one, of course. I am rather excited to see the *actual* plague back though. That should be fun. Thoughts?
  17. So apparently the Rakghoul Plague is coming back Could we please have DIFFERENT rewards this time around? Right now the things I got from that event, like the title, armors, pets ... they're a momento of an event from a specific time and place. If we get the exact same things everytime, they lose that specialness. Could we please get different rewards each time then? If event rewards aren't special ... it kind of kills my incentive to participate as much. Just a personal opinion.
  18. You provided an article. The title of the article was challenged as fallacious based on its content. It would then fall on you to demonstrate that the article provides reasonable proof. No, it is the job of everyone trying to get closer to the truth to try to debunk everything at every turn. That's how we get to truth. If you make a claim, it's on you to defend it. Simply calling peope 'bad' fails to do this, and makes you look childish. That's not how burden of proof works. It's on you, as the person who made the initial claim to provide proof. Not on others to provide "anti-proof". That's why people don't prove unicorns aren't real. No one should take up that gauntlet, as the structure of the contest wouldn't even work to disprove leprachauns. You do not understand how burden of proof works.
  19. It is. It's always easier than proving something, and for good reason. You're the one that actually has to prove something, as the person making the claim. Your premise was challenged, and you haven't defended it at all, you've pointed to the title and made logical fallacies and personal attacks. You might be right, but you're doing a horrible job supporting your claim. Mis-understanding of burden of proof again. Redirecting argument away from substance. Personal attacks.
  20. An argument that a title requires no further thinking or evidenciary support. Redefining a debate as a personal contest. Mis-understanding of burden of proof. Manufactured numbers.
  21. I would really really want something like this. Obviously you can't just build a house in the middle of a leveling planet like Hoth in this game, but there are still many ways to do it, and it's a feature that would provide endless gameplay to keep the more social-rp type people paying that subscription fee for a long time (I'm assuming sub. only feature, no?). That being said, I think this is kind of what they may have in mind with "Guild Capital Ships", and, to my great dismay, I do think this was moved "to the bottom of the priority list" recently according to an interview.
  22. I actually like the solution to this that came up on Reddit. (Link) Rather than putting up the old Tionese models on the CE Vendor, doing what was done with the Goldene Scalene Armor and make a distinct version for the CE Vendor. That way the old 50-Ops rewards ones are still unique, but the model is still available in a different color for those who want it. I wouldn't mind a "Golden Rakata" adaptable armor set going up on the CE vendor, as long as it couldn't be unified to be the same, so it was unique. Perhaps each tier of PvE armor, when it goes 'extinct', could coinside with a "Golden" version going up on the CE vendor. Personally, I'd rather have nothing, but it's a compromise I could live with if it would make everyone else happy. (Only needed for PvE armors as PvP armors already have their own way of being preserved, and crafters should retain their current monopoly there)
  23. I think the current number of warzones already provides alot of variety in gameplay.
